Spring is here

Let the pets out this morning into the backyard. Had to chase Goldie the cat inside when I saw her panting under a bush. It's warm out here, baby. A/C running. Had to go sign the title for my roommate's car and then grocery shopped. We needed pet food and toilet paper.

Too sore to workout

Resting today. Working on a story.

Exhausted

Came home from over 2 hours of Pilates exercises. I had my turn doing a half hour class. I'm sore and stiff today.

Back in the Pilates Studio

Last weekend for studio classes and the rest of the education hours are at my descretion. Half way done.

Roommate starts new pizza delivery's next week Monday. He got a new phone and number so they were contacting his old number. He got ahold of the manager today to get his start date.

2 Job Interviews set

I think I stepped into the twilight zone. Got a call to set up an interview for a part-time secretary. Set up for Thursday. Then got a call to chat with an HR person who emailed an office test and then called for a brief phone interview. They are sending my info to the hiring manager for the office manager position. Hopefully, I don't get either one to interrupt my Pilates Instructor plans. But until unemployment runs out at the end of the month, I have to keep applying for jobs. Got called to set up the 2nd interview for tomorrow. PS. Both interviews went well. PSS. Received rejection from Secretary job employer. Oh well.

Happy Easter

Got up early for church and then went home. Took photos of Rufus in a bunny costume. Gave the cats and dogs their Easter basket of toys and treats. Cooked ham for the roommates. Relaxed most of the afternoon watching a channel's Easter specials about the 1st Easter. Went over to brother's house for dinner and came home in the dark after a good visit with family.

Roommate's car, sitting at a gas station, suddenly won't start. Tried jumping it with my car, still won't start. Don't know if the starter is not working when the dashboard lights are on. Battery and check engine lights stay on. I don't get it when the mechanic did a diagnostic of the car yesterday when the car wasn't shifting, and the check engine light was on. We got the car back 3 hours and now won't start. PS. They removed the starter to get to the broken cord for the gear shifter and failed to correctly hook it back so I wire burned out stopping the starter from working. And I get pay for their labor fixing their mistake. Roommate gave me such a hard time about it saying the mistake repair should be free. Tell the mechanic that. If he wants to go to another mechanic then he can be my guest, I doubt any of them will be different. That is how the world works. What do he expect me to do? Mechanic fixed my car, again. Yes, I am angry about it, but not have much power to change it. I don't know how to fix cars.

Interesting Day

Well, my day got interesting. roommate's car stopped for a train, and when he tried to shift back to drive, the gear got stuck in Park. I had him call the roadside assistance number to tow the car to my mechanic (yes, my car insurance covers roadside assistance instead of getting AAA). I went to pick them up. Got the call from the mechanic, and a damaged part was recalled. No refunds when a mechanic changes it. What are we supposed to do, tow it to a dealership? And what about the check engine light about oil pressure sensor? Roommate informs me that his new pizza delivery job is waiting for a background check and has not gotten back to him. They said he was hired, and then there was no call on when to start. He gave up his other job because they said he was hired. Now he is applying to be a tow truck driver. Well, he hasn't saved up enough to pay for repairs, so I have to pay. I told him that used cars break down. He got mad when he drove home from the car lot and by the time he reached my house that the check engine light came on. That's life.

I don't believe this

I don't believe this. My eBook was rejected again for Global Distribution because the author's name is not on the cover. Last time, the problem was that the NGX Table of Contents was set up incorrectly. Seriously, the cover is an image, a photo. Had to situate the cover picture, book title, and author name on a Word document and snip it to get a PNG photo file because I can't download a Word document for the cover. Then it was the wrong size to download to the website, so I had to change the size to be accepted. I hope this version is satisfactory. The eBook is for sale on freaking Amazon.

Weird Conversation

Had the weirdest lecture from roommate. He asked if I believe in Jesus. Obviously, if I am physically preparing for Easter, I wear a cross to church on Sundays and recently got a new Study Bible to follow Bible devotionals my brother's church gives out. Catholics don't believe in Jesus as the Son of God, and ceremonies are full of demonic hand gestures. I asked if this was from a YouTube video. No. He did his research (Research where, the Conspiracy Theorist Monthly?), and the Catholic church actually is a cult worshipping the Roman agriculture god Saturn. Their imagery doesn't reflect Jesus, but nature deities. He told me I was Catholic. No, my family is Lutheran, a sect that rebelled against the Catholic Church during the Protestant Reformation. But I know plenty of Catholics, and yes, they believe in Jesus as the Son of God. Then he tells me he wants to be a priest and preach the Bible. He was raised a Baptist. Cult leader leading conspiracy theorists is more like it. Explained I am getting tired of this conversation over the difference between soul and spirit. He gets offended when I stare at him like he is crazy. Sorry, I am not interested in your girlfriend's father's schizophrenic beliefs in conspiracy theories and the world will end soon so we need to prepare for it cause the signs are there.

BTW, the soul is your personality, spirit holds your soul inside and your body holds your spirit like a Russian doll that fits inside each other.

Rufus Vet Visit

Took Rufus to the vet for his vaccines and heartworm test. Couple of pounds overweight at 19.7 and needs to drop 2 pounds. OK. In good health otherwise. Go to pay, and they want to schedule a tooth extraction. What? Vet failed to mention that. The receptionist double-checks with the vet, and a molar needs to come out. Ok, what is that going to cost (I have to make sure I have enough in my account when I pick him up from surgery)? They will email an estimate. Let's hope so. PS. They never emailed the estimated charges.

RIP Alex Duong

RIP Alex Duong. We met in Fall 2008 while I was taking a makeup artistry class with Amy Ward Studio with hopes of being a makeup artist. He was a model I did his makeup for a couple of times and kept in touch by email after I returned home. I told him I saw potential in him by the way he posed. He had hopes of being an actor. I told him to tell his agent to get him parts because I wanted to see him again. He was the one who encouraged me to join social media. I long ago threw away the photographs from the week-long class because nobody gave me a chance to do their makeup. Not even one person. He became a stand-up comedian, actor, and screenwriter. I watched his performances on YouTube, even a commercial for Best Buy, where he had no lines. After watching him in a video with his friends, I said I was so impressed that if he went through his whole life without winning an award, I would be severely disappointed. I saw on Facebook that he got married and had a daughter. He continued working and writing. He did get an award for his comedy. I told him that it meant that I was right about him. Then he got cancer. I told him I would write him a story and asked what his character should be. He said he wanted to be a cook who was a secret agent. I came up with a storyline, and he replied, "Wow". I was so stressed out over my finances, stressed over my job, and then losing my job, and then trying to get old stories edited for eBook publishing, that I haven't even started his story yet. And now he is gone forever, and I don't have the photo of when we met anymore. This article will have to do. Goodbye Alex. I was hoping you would get the right role to be an Oscar winner, or even an Emmy winner, acting or screenplay, but it wasn't meant to be. I'm sorry I never started your story for you to enjoy a rough draft of it. Here is his photo I pulled off his webpage in 2010 resembling the studio photos I did his make up when we met. He got on E News...https://www.eonline.com/news/1430310/alex-duong-blue-bloods-actor-dead-at-42-after-cancer-battle

Rufus is so weird

Argh. Give Rufus his favorite chicken can food this morning, and he refuses to eat it. Not even a lick. Grab another chicken can food I had prepared when serving beef, and he gobbles that right up without a pause. I have a weird dog.

Heaven Help Me

OMG, Lord, have mercy on me. Did the Pilates studio classes today for 6 hours, and my shoulder blades are killing me. Came home to let the dogs out to pee and refill the bird feeder. Then had to grab Rosie, who escaped outside. Then went to the grocery store. Rosie explored one of the sacks to fall off the table. Checked her out, and she is fine. Now cooking a pizza. I'm so hungry. Barely had food in the cupboards this morning.

Bought Used Car

Bought used car for roommate so I can have my car back. He wanted a truck but can't drive a stick shift. Then he wanted an Imapala, but their automatic shift is on the steering wheel and he can't adapt to it. So got a little compact car, in blue. Test drove it and worked fine. He hesitated cause he is used to driving my SUV and this is smaller. I said he could get used to driving this smaller car too. He picked it out from all the cars in the lot. Got home and he complains the check engine light came on on the way home. Told him that needs to take it to a mechanic to find out what's wrong with it. Probably electircal. And guess what, no owner's manual in the car. That's what you get when buying a used car "As Is".

Bought a used car once and it broke down on the way home and constantly breaking down for months. Which is why I begged my Mom to puchase a new car when the fix it estimate on the latest problem was more than I could handle. The mechanic said I was spending more money fixing this piece of junk than buying a new car. That's life.

Later, he started complaining about the car remote. It keeps setting off the alarm and opens trunk when he unlocks the car. He might have to take it to a dealership. Welcome to Adulthood.

Got the Schedule

Begged for roommate's schedule and got it. He works 4 days a week about 20 hours. He finally got the OK for food delivery. Suggested gettign a used car for him and he buys it off me since doesn't work many hours. I could cover the insurance and he handle the gas, maintenence, and repairs. Had to contact the financial advisor for money to drive car again. It's not fun asking permission to borrow my own car. I want my independence back.

Happy St Patrick's Day

Got winter and Valentine decorations put away and got Easter decorations out. Missed the parade getting up at noon, then it was 20 degrees outside so decided to skip it. Completed 2 observations of Pilates classes with the instructor I did a Pilates class with yesterday. She recognized me. Afterwards, I took the car rental back since I can't afford to to keep to demand my roommate's schedule so I can plan around it. He is still waiting to be a food delivery app driver in addition to delivery pizza. Stopped for gas before returning the car and drove too close to the gas pump to scratch 2 doors. Great. Get to pay for the damages. Order a ride pick up on a mobile app. Roommate called saying they are back from girlfriend's doctor appointment fromm her headaches. They will pick me up so cancel the pick up app ride. Get charged $5 for cancelling. Ride would have cost $12 plus tip. Start demanding his schedule to plan appointments around it. Won't give it to me.

Then this week, roommate takes all his tip money of $200 made since he started and buys himself and his girlfriend new smartphones. He declares he will save his tiny paychecks to buy a used Impala, and it may take him a year to do that. Then he wants to use my car to do food delivery app in his name to earn money faster, and canceled my account. That will be fun to explain to Unemployment. He was a driver under scooter transportation. He refilled the air in one wheel and popped the tire so needs replaced. He is waiting for approval since they have to check his driving record, which is clean since he just got his license. I am seriously thinking of buying a used car to drive again.

Celebrated Anna Dog Birthday-Gotcha Day

Happy 5th Birthday Anna. Actually Birthday is April 1 and Gotcha Day is April 8 but celebrating today. Dogs and cats were offered cans of tuna and treats.

Well I finished my taxes. Since employer failed to take out state taxes from my paychecks, I owe $730. Fed refund is $200 so take out some of the sting.

Interview to Volunteer

Went to interview for volunteering at local musueum for the summer. They stopped wearing costumes and dress normal to be interpreter of History. They have a culture center with Revolutionary War wall, bios of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, and several quilts, a covered wagon, and hearse. Interesting. They even included a few women and I commented not to let Trumps see that or he will order the women displayed taken down. I said I could anywhere they need help.

I am so upset. Went to grocery store, big sale Friday. Just got my unemployment check. Card declines. We have to put back $14. Roommate picks a package of beef steaks for $14.75 to put back. Who does roommate think I am, Donald Trump? Explained that was embarrassing and worse I knew the cashier from a past job. Then, I get home and TV advertising HyVee having special sale Saturday and Sunday to get gasoline discount. I have 19 cents in my bank account and 9 cents in savings. I could really could use that gas discount tonight. Oh well, have to wait for the next gas discount sale.

Lock out

Wow, go to all Pilates class and locked out because I am 4 minutes late. It is disruptive to allow late people come in. I swear their clocks must be 10 minutes fast. They say arrive early and I did last class to have them start class right away. I was 10 minutes early.

Did an online class instead.

Good news, Bad news

Well, Roommate got a job delivering pizzas for a pizza place. I thought all restaurants used food delivery apps nowadays and got rid of their drivers. Problem is that leaves me without a car for 8 hours so taking Pilates class tomorrow and observing Pilates classes next week are going to require me to get to a rental car until he can save enough to buy a used car. I just emptied my bank account replacing the motor in the furnace. It takes time to sell stocks to replenish my cash account. Then the outside airport car rentals are out of cars so have to go the airport where fees are higher for extra security after 9/11. I told him Congratulations on job, I just wish he would have gotten a job that didn't require my car for 8 hours. He said package delivery company rejected him. I hope he keeps this job and makes good tips. He actually said I could take ride shares everywhere and furious I am spending money on a rental car. He took my car. When I said he could use my car to get to a delivery job when I am not needing it, otherwise I could drive him to work. I wasn't giving him free reign and control over my car.

Welcome to Adulthood

Some people are so funny. Tell someone my former employer didn't take out state income taxes from my paychecks per W-2, and since it is not my fault employer screwed up, they think oh, I don't have to pay state income taxes then. No, that means I get to pay all my state income taxes now, meaning no refund because they were never paid in the first place. Sigh. Welcome to Adulthood.

Losing confidence in my Pilates Teacher Classes, watching everyone else jump on Advanced Exercises that I end up having difficulty with, or am unable to do at all. But I don't have to be able to do everything; I just need to tell people how to do the exercises. But it is nice to demonstrate that I can do Advanced Exercises to the students. Need to work on my flexibility and strength.

Learned something new in Pilates instructor classes. Obese people having trouble lifting legs so private lessons might be better before joining classes to prevent embarrassment of the client.

Vet visit

Walked around the yard and found a striped garter snake. Small one around a foot long so much have just hatched. Directed the dogs away from the snake and cats were going back inside so we came in. Guess I have walk the dogs on a real walk since I have my shoes on.

Took Anna to the vet for her vaccines and heartworm test. Her weight got up to 42.3 on the scale. Needs to lose 10 lbs., so have to cut the table scraps except maybe vegetables and meat. She might be experiencing back pain from the extra weight. Got to take her to the local park again. Hit 50 degrees today, and we walked around the neighborhood. She needs longer walks and fewer carbs, like peanut butter and crackers.

Discovered Punch the Monkey

The whole Punch Monkey and his stuffy remind me of when abused children grow up and are tossed out in the world (Clearly Punch was not abused by his zookeepers, but he was disconnected from his troop and then reintroduced). Punch clinging to the stuffy alone is the security of the past in a scary world where there are no bonds with people from no history. Who is trustworthy, who is just using you, who is bullying you, and who is kind enough to give them a chance? Abused children learned unhealthy habits to survive, but don't serve them well when they reach adulthood and are on their own, navigating jobs and finding housing when lacking the social graces people expect. Then comes the first touch, the first kind word of someone feeling sorry for you, to react with fear. Do they trust this person not to hurt them, as so many have done in the past? Then comes another kind person, and bonding begins, learning who to trust. Then acceptance and friendships form, life partners are found, and the abused child heals inside the loved adult who learned from the past but moves on from it.

Rosie cat getting better

Well, Rosie's fractured toe is much better. Not only is she back to climbing my clothes closet, but she also climbed the tree today. Today is the last day of the painkiller. She still holds her paw up, so it could be sore after use. Still a little swollen.

Hooray! Roommate passed his driving test and now licensed. They gave him a paper one and get the plastic one in the mail. I told him now he can get a job and make his dreams come true. He wants to be a delivery driver or get his own car to do food delivery apps. Yes, I added him as a driver on my insurance. I said he starts working, he can pay rent. Half utilities, his share of insurance, and buy their own food. That would help me out. He is so happy.

Trapped Kitties

Work on Self Practice Pilates tonight to complete 55 minutes. These Advance moves about kill me. I use my giant balance ball to keep my legs up. Practiced with small Yoga ball and Yoga bricks for modifications of stretches for clients less flexible than me.

Lying in bed, trying to go to sleep. Then hear a loud ruckus in bathroom. Figured it was the cats playing. Then hear door pounding like a trapped animal so drag myself to the bathroom to find the door closed. Tap the door and call out if any human was in there before opening the door. Poor kitties trapped themselves into the bathroom.

Later roommate flips out on me about a new rule they decided to keep the bathroom door closed to keep cats out. I suggested blocking the door with the floor mat to keep it from closing. I don't like the door closed cause we can't tell in the dark house if someone is in there. He wants to argue his way. It's my house and I want the door open. He demanded why I had an attitude, what was my problem. My problem is him. I've supported him fully for 3 years (girlfriend for one and half) and I'm tired of it. It's my house, I'm paying the bills, I will make rules around here. If they don't like, they can leave and said good night. Without a further word, they went downstairs.

I'm an author!

OMG, I'm going to cry. I checked my eBook sales, and I sold books in January. My eBook sold 2 copies, equally $0.61 in royalty revenue to me. But I don't receive any money until the total owed is $5. But I'm so happy I sold books. People are reading my story. I hope they enjoyed it. Hope the next eBook is approved for distribution soon, a hisotrical novel I did a lot of research for. Waiting patiently.

Had my 1st Cardio Pilates Class. Did lots of jumping. I feel it in my legs.

Amusing. Roommate flips out looking at my fridge calendar cause I added an appointment at the exact time as his driving test. I had to explain I added his driving test to my calendar.

Another Workshop

Today's workshop was Keep a Positive Attitude. Most negative workshop discussing programs available for people with barriers of employment like getting a GED. Talked about interviewing and acting happy to be here. Keep trying and don't give up. Writing goals on paper and put up on fridge. You know, depressing workshop. I commented of hoping to get certified as a Pilates instructor for the question: Where you want to be next year? They replied that Hope was the wrong word and I should use goal instead and should plan my goal. No, I hope to pass the certification exam within a year. That can be a goal, but not a guaranteed.

1st Pilates Control and Balance Class

Took a Control and Balance Pilates class today. Worked out my legs. Hard to follow instructions sometimes. What does articulate the leg mean? I Googled, and articulate means-controlled movement in Pilates. Though Google only found articulation of the spine moving the vertebrae as in sitting up or lying down in a controlled manner (moving up vertebrae by vertebrae, not plopping down with a thud). Not sure what they meant by articulate the leg. I found Articulate Ankles and don't understand the explanation.

Alert Cat

Let the dogs outside. Soon, Goldie is meowing while looking out the window. I pet her, thinking she wants to go outside and spy Rufus sitting by the door to be let in. Let Rufus inside. Goldie meows continuously, and eventually, during one meow, Anna is sitting at the door waiting to be let in. Not all her meows are about her. I let the cats out earlier this morning, and they didn't like it very well.

In yesterday's class session, I learned that the general manager of the Pilates studio is a former substitute teacher who coached track. Her email signature includes "Certified Yoga Instructor," "Kettlebell Lifting Certified," and "Certified Group Fitness Instructor." She is working on becoming a Pilates Instructor Certified, so she is taking classes with the Master Trainer too.

Pilates Teacher Class was better today. Tomorrow another class. Master Trainer from Minnesota is wonderful. A little difficult learning Pilates and learning to teach at the same time, but getting through it.

1st Pilates Studio Class

Had a stressful day. My roommate can't stay out of the bathroom for any extended period of time, so I couldn't get my teeth brushed before leaving for Pilates Teacher Class. Allowed plenty of time. On the way, had to stop for gas, so took away some of my extra time. Then I arrived, and it was the wrong studio. I went to the studio I normally do exercises in when I needed to go to one I have not been to before, which is on the other side of town. Arrived half an hour late. Not a good impression on 1st day of class. Others are covered in stickers, so missed some sort of game. Apologized for being late. Good session learning mat exercises and how to cue others on what to do. I forgot my notebook and don't have the training manual on paper or accessible on my smartphone. Luckily, they provided a goodie bag with a notebook. Have to put the manuals on my Drive from my laptop so can read it from my smartphone for tomorrow. Learned about the Pilates Puff or client toots in class. Leave the studio and pitch-black outside, and an unfamiliar side of town, so I drove in circles trying to figure out how to get home. Got myself oriented, going toward the interstate, so knew to go the opposite direction. Yes, I could have used Google Maps, but that would have taken me to the interstate that I was avoiding because of the ice on the roads. Made it to familiar territory to know how to get home. Made it home and let the dogs out for pee. Feed the dogs, and Rufus started growling at Anna, ready to eat his food. I was in the kitchen feeding the cats their treat of Delectables (they love Delectables). Came back, and Rufus ate his food (why do I have to sit next to him to get him to eat his food?). Everybody was fed, and water bowls were good. I watched my training videos until bedtime. Had a bag of popcorn for a snack. I'm ready to sleep. But on the good side, roommates did clear the driveway and sidewalk while I was gone.

Today's Workshop

Today's workshop: How to apply for a state job. Yeah, already have a profile and had 1 interview a couple of years ago for a secretary at Human Services. However, I am required to attend the workshop or risk losing my benefits. I was watching Olympic skating and missed the first hour. It took 20 minutes to log onto the workshop cause unemployment website is slow af. I hope watching 15 minutes of it counts. I made a comment on it, so they can't say I didn't watch it. I hate the unemployment office. They are more concerned with finding excuses to deny benefits than helping people. Maybe they help people with no education, don't know how to write a resume or use a computer, but don't help me at all.

It's done. I received an email that my Square account rate is jumping $30 per month in the next few days, so I deactivated the account. I made a copy of my 2025 Sales for my taxes. I'm sad I put in so many hours making a beautiful website that people could enjoy browsing my items, and so few sales from relatives. Printful account is deleted too. Nobody bought anything from their Quickstore anyway.

OMG. Opened back door for final pee before bed. Left door cracked open so dogs could get back in as I turned off lights and TV. Rufus came inside, saw cats inside, so shut door thinking Anna came inside too. Cats didn't like the wind and snow. Go to bed. Several minutes later hear barking outside. Look around for Anna and find her barking at the back door covered with snow. Open door and get a blanket to warm and dry her off. Gave a good petting and apologized for locking her outside.

Poor Rosie cat

At the vet. Rosie was limping on 3 legs yesterday and in the evening her paw looked swollen so booked appointment today. No resistance into carrier and no meows on the way so I know she is in pain. She getting x-rays of her leg to checks for any breaks from the swelling. She is 8 lbs.

Well, she wouldn't hold still for x-rays so they have to sedate her. Which will take a few hours. I have a job interview at 1:30. I don't even want the job, but stupid unemployment threatens to take away benefits if you turn down anything. I get emails of them contacting employers to see if I really applied.

Good news: Leg is not broken and no surgery is required. Bad News: Toe is fractured to explain the swelling, so Rosie gets pain meds for 2 weeks. And lots of rest. Today she rubbed her head against Rufus, and he replied in kind. So sweet, and I didn't have my smartphone to video it. Yesterday, Anna put her nose on Rosie's head. So sweet. Been trying to keep the dogs distant so she doesn't get knocked over.

Shamrock Shake

OMG, I feel faint. I ordered a Shamrock Shake and actually got one. Been years since I had one from: The machine is broken. And just realized they forgot the cherry. Can't have everything.

Had my last therapy session. Learning Pilates, he had no reason to worry that I would fall backwards to stiff muscles from stress and not exercising. I feel good getting stronger every day, so I hope for the future. Last year, I started seeing him from dizzy spells, thinking my neck was out of place, and his father was busy for over a week (the son joined the practice a year ago). He even asked why I scheduled with him instead of his father. I replied because he was available. My back and neck were out of place, and he noticed my shoulders were as hard as rocks to suggest more visits to loosen my muscles, and physical therapy began. It will save me money on my HSA to stop going so much. I can go back if issues arise.

RIP Jess Jackson

I remember him running for president in 6th grade. I remember hearing on the news him negotiating the release of hostages. I remember hearing a speech where he said "We may not be where we want to be, but we can thank God we are not where we were." He made me proud to be an American. A great inspiration has gone out.

Happy Mardi Gras

I guess this means I should put away my Valentine decorations.

Happy Lunar New Year

Year of the Fire Horse. My Chinese Horoscope I will have a prosperous year. I hope so. It's been a year since my Mom died.

1st full Pilates Class

Had my first full Pilates class on the Reformer and little on the Springboard. Worked the thighs a lot with some arm stretches. Now have to write a worksheet about for my teacher course.

Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! I finished my Anatomy Course for my Pilates Instructor Classes. I thought there was a final exam for all the muscles. No, just write the date of completion of the course. Happy Valentine's Day. I'm ready for some chocolate-covered caramels. Dogs and cats got canned tuna for their gift.

Working on my income tax forms

Sigh. Doing my taxes and discovered on my W-2 that the bozos who fired me neglected to pay state income tax. Which means I get to pay it all now. Lucky me. I still have to figure out my business sales and expenses. I can donate to my HSA and IRA for further deductions. Will see if I owe or get any refund. Wish me luck.

Physical Therapy Today

Had physical therapy today. We are reaching an exit point where we stop having sessions. Heartbreaking I know when seeing him since last summer to loosen up my tight muscles. I am preparing my body for Pilates teacher classes. I am lifting weights, bought new equipment for mat exercises, and with nicer weather start walking the dogs again. He recommended protein drinks to help my stronger muscles and pay attention to nutrition. Went to the grocery store to buy a bunch of fruit and a 12 pack of protein drinks. I need to lay off the snacks, but pop with caffeine I am reluctant to completely give up. He said to eat a carbohydrate before exercise so I don't get dizzy and hydrate while exercing. He can tell I am doing my homework exercises cause my hip muscles were loosening up. Good, I need lose muscles to stretch.

Today's workshop was about LinkedIn. Some employers refuse to hire people who don't have a LinkedIn account. I have an account, I just don't really use it. I did update it when lost my job. They suggested a profile photo that is professional. Employers remember people better if they view a photo. Yeah, but that invites discrimination before the interview.

Another Career Counselor Phone Call

Received an email from the career counselor I have to speak to on the phone today. I have to forward an email from a company I applied to last week. And it must be one declared on my weekly claim I completed on Sunday. OK so had to search through a week's worth of deleted emails to obtain my proof that I am applying for jobs. Seriously. I will be happy when unemployment expires so I stop jumping through hoops like a circus poodle 🐩. Half-way through my Anatomy course and took my Introduction to Pilates. Teacher said Advanced Classes do the same moves, just with weights. They say to do 10 classes before asking to move to the next level. I can do this.

OK. Career counselor replied to my email that they received my proof of job application. They called. 15 minutes late, but they called. We are good fulfilling requirements. Must have been distracted.

Today's workshop was about loans, types of loans, how they affect credit scores that employers look at, and staying away from predatory loans. Fun. People take out predatory loans like payday cash advances and car title loans when they have no other choice.

1st Pilates Class

Had my 1st Pilates Introduction Class. A little stiff and sore from Friday exercises. Rested Saturday. My muscles started shaking after 30 minutes so I think I overdid it. Worked on ny Anatomy class learning about shoulder and knee muscles. Half way through the course. Next time I go I should stretch out before I leave since they go straight to work at the class.

Meeting with Career Counselor

Met with career counselor at the unemployment office. She suggested I could be a Pilates in senior living places or be an Activities Director for a nursing home. Have to get my certification first. I have options if the gym doing the classes doesn't want me (The class has 13 students). Gyms are popping up everywhere so I have hope.

Exercised today for an hour. Learned to eat before exercise cause I started getting dizzy. 45 minutes in and lifting barbells, my muscles started shaking. Started stretching to finish the hour of exercise. Googled and apparently my muscles were overworked. Have to rest tomorrow.

I Didn't Do That

OMG, I went outside to push the garbage bin to the end of the driveway. Rufus sneaked out with me. But, then, Anna pushed Rosie, ready to jump outside when I came back in, away from the door so Rufus and I could come inside without Rosie escaping. I never trained her to do that. I just put my foot in the open gap to stop her from escaping. But Rufus coming in, I couldn't do that.

Today's Workshop was Negotiating Job Offers to get a better deal. Right. I tried that a few times and didn't get the job.

Missed 1st Pilates Class

Missed my 1st Pilates class. Google maps took me all over a mall to land me at a sporting goods store. I even asked a clerk and they said it was across the street at the traffic light. No, it is not. Forced to return home disappointed and email the general manager where their gym is. Have to book another class and try to find it again.

PS. I heard back from the studio and they explained the location so hopefully I can find it. It's a block north where Google sent me. Sigh.

Ebook rejected for distribution because NCX is not formatted right. Redid it. Googled how to do it. Resubmitted it. Hopefully this one is approved.

Happy Groundhog Day

Today's workshop was about ageism and how to be appear like young people. Get social media accounts that employers want to research and find an excuse not to hire you, change your email to icloud or Gmail so not to appear old with an MSN or Hotmail account, and of course get a LinkedIn account as a requirement to getting hired (but watch out for job scams on LinkedIn). Learned nothing new.

Looking for the Cat

Both dogs and Goldie came inside from the yard. Saw Rosie come inside, but I was unsure if she went back out into the yard or still inside. Searched all over and finally found her in the tree outside. Waited and eventually she came to the door squeaking like a mouse. All babies inside now.

Sad day

Sad day. One of my brother's church friends he had brunch with has died last week. He was in hospice for months. He came to church during Christmas. Before hospice he sat with us at brunch. Mostly blind and had hearing aids. He remembered I was my brother's sister, but not my name. He enjoyed crepes. Read his obituary. He fought in the Korean War, was an overseas missionary, and came home to the states to be a band teacher. Had no idea I sat next to such an important person.

Keep on Trying

Well, roommate suggested I take a customer service job where I can work from home. No, the last thing I want is a job where I have to deal with people's complaints for 8 hours a day. He is nervous that my Pilates Instructor path won't work out, and I won't find a job. Yes, well, that is the risk I take in changing careers. I have no guarantee that everything will work out. I can't get interviews for office jobs, so what am I supposed to do? I can't retire or go on disability, so I need to find something I am good at. I was forced to close my online shop. I am good at training people. An Indian intern at a hotel job was sad I was leaving cause I was her favorite trainer cause I was patient and repeated things until she got it. I always enjoyed exercising and went for an hour and a half yesterday. 1 hour moving my equipment and a half hour of stretching. Don't know anything about Pilates, but I will learn. It resembles Yoga with movement. I have to try new things to find ways to make money. I can always take the self-employment route if necessary, trying to find clients for personalized training if I have to. What else am I supposed to do? I have to keep trying.

Who should be hired? Workshop

Today's workshop consisted of mock interviews, and the audience provided comments on which candidate they thought should be hired. Clearly, one was how not to act in an interview, and the other was the professional who gave all the right answers. The professional one was explained to be the correct choice and why. I didn't pay attention to it and played on my phone while the workshop ran on my laptop. I did make a comment about how you should always ask a question at the end of an interview to display your interest. They gave us examples of questions to ask. BTW, my camera and microphone are turned off by the presenters for the webinar, and we speak through chat.

Once a former manager hired someone cause they loved their energy. They fired them after 3 weeks when they realized this Wonderful Energy couldn't do the job and was working off the clock to get their work done on time. They were from another country and didn't know it was illegal to work off the clock. The manager and supervisor repeatedly told them to finish the work the next workday, but they couldn't handle that concept. Oh, if you wondered, they did speak English very well, so no language barrier.

President came to town

President graced us with his presence today. News had a photo of about 700 people in the event room where he spoke with a few politicians. He stopped at a nearby restaurant too. News also interviewed protesters that numbered about 2000 outside. Special section for protesters was roped off by event center. Protesters were peaceful.

I took my roommate to take his driver's license written exam. 4th time is a charm, he passed this time. He has to go back to get the permit to practice driving before taking driving test with my car. Which means I have to fix my front bumper cause car has to be in working order to take the test.

Bad Dog

Cat Rosie leaped off the end table and knocked a bunch on items off in her acrobatic performance. Picked up coasters, papers, and remotes. Soon after, heard my dog Anna chewing something on the floor. I check to see what she is chewing on. It was a plastic coaster with cork in the center. Bad dog. Tossed in the trash.

The unemployment office never answered my email about my missing checks, but my bank account finally showed the deposits. Hooray.

Bad news for roommate

Well, roommate is devastated again. The Mary Jane he orders online from California is now adding fees to verify the signatures of delivery to prove the recipient is over 21. So, no more Mary Jane for him. I told him he has to be sober like me. Then again, there are CBD gummies he loves so he can still buy those.

More Workshops

Wow, I have 2 meetings with Career Counselors in 1 week. And I have to attend or I will be denied benefits. 1 is on the phone, and 1 is in person. In person, I have to present my job application list, which I have to type in their system every week, my resume that is required in their system, and my ID, which I uploaded to prove I am a citizen. I feel like a poodle jumping through hoops at a circus to receive my treat. The 1st career counselor actually asked me if I was interested in nursing cause they have a program to train me. No, not interested in nursing. If I were interested in nursing or any medical-related job, I would have studied it the 1st time I went to college. I am studying to be a Pilates instructor.

Well, my unemployment checks were direct deposited days ago, but they are not in my bank account. I go into my profile, and I can't find the direct deposit information to verify where they sent the money. Have to send them an email asking for help. I hate the unemployment office.

I did a Site Map check and found the place to change my payment method. It said the bank name, but the account number was blocked, so I don't know which account received the money. I called the bank, and they don't have a record of my checks being deposited into my account. Hopefully, the unemployment office will answer my email.

Today's workshops include Essential Job Seeking Tools, which was a tour of all their programs from workshops, apprenticeships (paid to learn), job training programs (there is a semi-truck driving program we could do), and receive a certificate from a community college (free education). There is a job training program for people on food stamps.

The next required workshop was How to File the Weekly Claim and requirements, which I already know how to do, so I played on my phone while the virtual call ran on my laptop.

Last workshop today was Develop a Career Plan. They spoke about all the assessments and tests, like a typing test to figure out words per minute, that we can do. They spoke about changing careers, and they have programs for career counselors to help with the transition. If we are living on disability, they have a program to help disabled people re-enter the job force and be self-sufficient again. I'm like: Do you know how hard it is to get approved for disability in the first place? Why would anyone living off of disability be putting in the effort to be self-sufficient again? Do they understand what disability is? Yes, I know they can have part-time jobs without affecting benefits, but anyone who can handle a full-time self-sufficient job is not going on disability in the first place.

Snow and Ice

To the South, Ice Storms. To the East, Snow storms. Us, dusting of snow about an inch plu below 0 temperatures. Skipping the food delivery, my roommates refuse to weae coats I gave them and were sweatshirts. Then complain it is freezing outside. I reply, That's why I am wear a winter coat and gloves. Snow about an inch was on the pavement, but very little on the grass. Getting work done on the computer and drinking hot cocoa.

Career Counselor Appointment

Wake to find Rufus and Rosie in my bed. Start petting them and soon Goldie and Anna needed pets too. I only have 2 hands.

Took pets outside for their fresh air and Rosie refused to go outside. She sat at the threshold and turned around.

Call with career counselor finished. Next month have another one. They just ask your progress on finding a job and sign me up for required workshops. Workshop she signed me up for was "How to complete your weekly claim". This is my 5th time dealing with the unemployment office and I filed 2 weeks already and 3rd will be Sunday. Workshop is Monday and it's required cause part of career counseling program. Whatever.

Interesting. After my career counselor phone call, I received an email with 5 PDFs of requirements to continue receiving benefits. PDF 1 was that I am now required by the Federal Government to prove I am a citizen or legal permanent resident to receive benefits. Good thing I have a passport, or I would have to go to the county clerk's office to get a copy of my birth certificate (which I do have a copy of to obtain the passport). I guess social security cards prove work authorization, but non-citizens can get those too so they don't prove citizenship. For unemployment benefits, social security numbers can be used. PDF 2 was job search requirements (3 job applications plus 1 job app or 1 reemployment activity like talking to my career counselor). PDF 3 is Reemployment Activities that count, such as an interview, taking a civil service exam, registering for an education program, attending a job fair, or a mock interview. PDF 4 is how to file your weekly claim (and I am required to take a workshop on this process, too). PDF 5 was my next career counselor appointment, which happens to be around the same time as my dentist appointment. I guess I will reschedule the dentist.

Received an email from Pilates people. There are 12 students in this training. Better get working on anatomy course today. No food delivery in this -12 weather.

Neverending workshops

Today's workshops were on interviewing and applying for state jobs. Interviewing was a cookie-cutter presentation of the same things that internet articles say: Dress Up (Hygiene), No Strong Perfume, No Spicy Lunch Before Interview, If Dropped Off Then Driver Needs to Stay in the Parking Lot, Firm Handshake, Bring a Copy of your Resume, Be Positive, Watch Your Body Language (more important that what you actually say), No Badmouthing Former Employers, and Common Questions. Then they included a PDF of what to say if you were fired or laid off. Learned nothing new.

State Jobs was pretty much navigating the website, making a profile, job search, paygrades, etc. I felt tired, so I listened more than watched. It was boring anyway.

White as Paper

Interesting. I dislike something for being too spicy, and I get called "White as Paper". What the hell does that mean? I had to ask them if that was meant to be an insult. They said no, I just can't handle anything spicier than salt.

Today's Workshops

Today's workshop is Job Search. Make sure you spell everything correctly, have reasonable pay expectations, and don't forget the cover letter. Plus, keep track of who you apply to and copy job descriptions for future interviews. Dress well at career fairs. Absolutely nothing that I haven't heard before.

Did my hour-long exercise routine this morning between workshops. OMG, my bad knee feels so much more flexible from those dry needles yesterday. I could bend so much more and worked on gaining strength in my legs with squats, while holding a 12 lbs. kettlebell, and stretchy bands.

Next up was a Business Panel where company representatives answered questions about interviewing and resumes. Their advice was superficial like reading an article off the internet (Oh yes, please research the company before the interview, but we don't expect you to know everything about our company).

I inquired about a barrier to employment, which was employer bias, and asked if they would consider hiring a homeless person if they were qualified for the job. Of course, they said yes, that would be illegal discrimination. They said they wouldn't know if someone was homeless unless they volunteered the information. (Darling, companies have the word "Address" in their application form, so yes, you would know. Plus, their attire would reveal someone in poverty, like black jeans and black sneakers with a polo shirt.) One went on to say you could use the phone number of the shelter, and you just need an email/phone number to contact to be hired.

BTW, the homeless can get free smartphones from the government, and many homeless don't live in shelters (they live in cars, hotels, tents, couch surf with practical strangers, or under a bridge). Many hang around the public library for internet access and keep warm. In the end, I wouldn't want to work for either of these people, once their snobbery and being out of touch with prospective employees was revealed. And they would never hire me because I have too much compassion for them to handle.

Call to Determine Unemployment Benefits

The call to determine unemployment benefits is done.

Conversation was awkward. In the past, it was just me and the unemployment office, former employer gets separate phone calls. The former employer joined in the conversation after 5 minutes. I told the unemployment office person my frustrations of being set up to fail, I tried to do my job well, lack of training, 2 out of 3 advisors were often gone, lack of direction, and that I have never worked a job where I had to figure out my own job description. Concluded that it was a stressful work environment. Former employer got on and complained about my mistakes after a great interview and clients were losing confidence from my mistakes. Then former employer complained how I commented about doing food delivery and being a pilates instructor so why do I would I need unemployment. (Because food delivery doesn't pay the bills, it buys groceries, and I am not a pilates instructor yet).

PS. Response received several hours later. I get benefits. X fingers this Pilates instructor certification works out. I get 45 free classes as part of my training. I want to wait a couple of weeks and build my strength up before taking on hour-long classes in a group. Next, off to my physical therapy.

PSS. Did the dry needles thing on my knee with the hope of loosening the tendons, making my knee hurt when I bend it. The other knee is fine. He asked what I wanted to accomplish in our last 4 sessions of the current plan. We can stop or continue. I definitely need to work on balance and build strength cause I need to be physically fit to be a Pilates instructor. I'm still working on that. Coming home, I noticed my dry needles knee twitching a lot.

Sneaky Roommates

Funny, roommates thought they could change the thermostat to run the fan nonstop. I break a sweat and forced to turn the ceiling fan on to cool down, that fan went back to auto.

Yoga and Pilates

Did some yoga and then Mat Pilates today to stretch out. Pilates is very similar to Yoga. Yoga holds a pose while Pilates moves with similar poses. I got called to start my 45 free Pilates lessons at the gym. Not quite ready for hour long classes. I want to increase my strength and flexibility first. Eventually I did make my first pilates class reservation for the 1stweek of February. I have time to build up endurance and stamina.

Roommate Devastated

Roommate is devastated. His beloved shroom vape cartridge that is an incense he can huff that simulates the high of magic mushrooms are now illegal and he can't buy at smoke shops anymore.

Hey, Squirrel!

Today's adventure was watching Rosie chasing a squirrel in a tree. Squirrel climbed higher and Rosie had to concede defeat.

Hissy Cat

Interesting. Roommate said my cat Rosy has been hissing at him when he picks her up, which is not normal. Google says she might be in pain or hormonal since she is 8 months old. But she was fixed as a kitten and never hit puberty. She also went to the vet last week for tapeworm follow up and was in perfect health. Her poop test has no sign of parasites. Don't know she has copped at attitude. Maybe stop picking her up. She rarely hisses at me. Later, he tells me he sprayed the shower on her. Funny, I didn't hear the shower and her fur is not wet. Don't test me punk. He put her in his room for a time out. I heard him telling her to leave and her meow.

Roommate Request

Roommate was shouting at his girlfriend all day to the point he asked me to bless the house cause he thinks an evil spirit is making him angry. Yeah okay, I contacted my brother's church for a house blessing. I've blessed the house twice and apparently they don't work.

Today was Fun

Today was fun. Went to the Computer Literacy Workshop at the unemployment office to complete my 4 required weekly workshops. 90% of the lessons are things I already know how to do. Microsoft Suite, email, social media aka Facebook, how a computer works, digital footprint, how to use the internet, cyber safety, and Google Docs. Not familiar with Google Docs, though people talk about how they store documents there. Ok, it is more about document sharing than storage on cloud. But whatever. After the lesson and passing the quiz, I left. Went grocery shopping and back home.

Conspiracy Theory Nuts

Roommate and girlfriend's conversations are getting interesting. Tonight, he goes off about how evil the world is and streaks in the sky poisoning the earth and water, and he can't wait for the apocalypse to happen (the signs are there, it's about to start, and I'll be the first to die cause I won't believe them). I casually asked if they believe birds are real. Girlfriend defends that it's all over YouTube that people are making drones in the shape of birds to spy on people. But yes, some birds are real. I swear, they are like living with brainwashed cult members.

Today's Workshops

Took the workshop for resume writing. I commented on the suggestion to have your resume reviewed with "I had my resume reviewed and they told me that I was unemployable because my resume was passive and I am too old to work". Someone inquired if it was an unemployment office employee who said that. I replied, No, it was from an Job Board Website Review. I received an email from the Program Coordinator who was at the Workshop, asking who said that to me and offering to review my resume, though they normally don't do that for people. I emailed back my resume, and they gave a long list of suggestions. Thank you. That was what I needed. I did once have an unemployment office person reviewing my job application list and resume. They said my resume was impressive. I assumed that meant good.

Took the workshop "Bring Your A Game". Let's just say I spent time improving my resume while listening to it. It was okay. Mostly it was: Be Positive, Learn from Others, Different Generations Communicate and Need to be Managed Differently, Never Be Afraid to Take Risks, and most importantly: Play Well with Others.

Argument with Roommate

Well, Roommate is miffed today. They get up at noon ready to go deliver food. Problem. I have a workshop at 2 PM and need to walk the dogs before sunset. I overslept so missed the 9 AM so have to register for another on Friday. Then, at this moment I grabbed an Amazon box off the stoop. He is upset I am spending money and don't have much time to deliver food. I got 2 exercise equipment pieces to help with exercise routines I do. Plus I am going to learn to be a pilates instructor, I need equipment. He comments that I'm gung ho for being a pilates instructor. Yeah, that is how changing careers work. I can't get office job interviews so what am I supposed to do, sit here and deliver food 15 years until retirement.

Online classes

Started my Pilates Instructor online lessons. First up, Anatomy of Muscles (at least I don't have to learn all the bones and organs, just moving muscles). Wish me luck.

Forced Unemployment Workshops

Overslept so missed the 1st available unemployment workshop. Now I can't get into the 2nd workshop cause their website is so slow. Seriously, I have waited 45 minutes to open the calendar so I can click the link to access the virtual workshop happening right now. They demand 4 workshops and 4 employer contacts every week to receive benefits. How do they expect us to take these required virtual work shops if we can't access them.

Finally made it in to view the last 15 minutes of the workshop. They were discussing a personality test to tell you what job you should do. Yeah, if you work a job where you have an interest, then you are much happier. Sure, until you are fired for no reason. Then, oh, got to pay the bills and take whatever job you can get. That's my reality. Dreams don't pay the bills.

Physical Therapist Appointment

Well, my physical therapist said he noticed a HUGE difference in my back and shoulder muscles this week. No stress, so muscles are no longer tight. I said it was almost a relief from stress getting fired. He wants to try dry needles on my painful knee. He says the muscles around my knee cap are tight and dry needles should loosen them up. I'm willing to try anything for relief.

Finally the dog eats

Yes, after 7 attempts Rufus has finally eaten his canned dog food this morning. It was chicken. I cleaned out the litter box last night and cleaned it this morning. Now have to buy more can pet food. I usually buy a week's worth at a time.

Sunday, January 11, 2026

Getting ready for classes

Paid my first installment of tuition to learn to be a pilates instructor. 6 months to a year to get certified. Wish me luck.

Bad Dog

Aargh! Saw Rufus come into the living room with a toy in his mouth that he began to gnaw on it. It didn't look like a familiar toy, so I checked to see what it was. It was cat pee from the litter box. Cleaned up the litter box. Bad Rufus. Is this why he won't eat food because he is full of cat shit?

Unemployment Weekly Claim

Applied for Unemployment Benefits for the 5th time in my life, only this time their website is a freaking nightmare to navigate. Took 2 hours to figure out how to file my claim for unemployment benefits. Today, I filed my weekly claim today as commanded (4 employer contacts) and told I have to do 4 workshops every week or be denied benefits. I was not informed of weekly workshops when I applied. This time around, you have to type all your employer contacts into their website with a ton of information about them (before I wrote them down on paper). Please, God, let me sell eBooks so I don't have to go through this worthless, stupid garbage again. The state unemployment office doesn't help people get jobs; it just looks for ways to deny benefits by making people jump through hoops like a circus poodle, and their workshops are worthless garbage. I should know, this being my 5th time dealing with them. 15 years until retirement.

Donation even though I'm poor

Well, I have never donated to PBS before, but I have signed up to contribute monthly due to the sudden hold on Federal funds (at least during this presidential term). Got into their Passport website for access to more PBS shows. Nice.

Cat locked in the bathroom

Interesting morning. Heard a noise and figured cats knocked over something. Then heard meowing that didn't stop. Got up to investigate. Goldie was trapped in the bathroom. Rosie was in hallway so wonder how the door got closed. Probably grabbing at the tie on my robe hanging on the door. Let the dogs outside and fed everyone.

Aaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!! Took Rosie to the vet for tapeworm follow up. Vet cleared out some ear wax and checked for ear mites. She has ear mites which means all other pets need treatment too.

Dog refuses to eat

Had a fun with the dog who refuses to eat breakfast. Went outside where his muddy paws were wiped on my pants. Refused the chicken can food I gave him. And he Loves Chicken. Tried a can tuna which he also loves. Refused that too. OK. Pick up the bowl and arm gets bumped by an animal wanting attention and spill the tuna and water on my pants. Let Anna lick my pants after I changed them.

Freaked out on Rufus today. Cleaning the litter box and caught him eating cat poop. Rosie had a tapeworm and now scared he ate any of her poop when she was infected. He got some tapeworm meds. Have to take it 3 days.

Got Fired

Well, it finally happened. I'm fired. Told them I expected this since they fired the other secretary last March. Arrived at chiropractor office, 1 and half hour early. Insurance is through the government so won't lose that. But now I have to do food delivery until I can start taking classes to be a pilates instructor in February. Maybe apply to volunteer again at a museum. I need to meet people. Not kicking out roommates. I told them I need them to help me. I instructed roommate to take the driver's written test again to get his permit so he can get his license and get a job he wants to bring in income. He cancelled his last appointment to take the test after an argument over the thermostat. If he had a job, nobody would be complaining about him being here. I will be mean mommy to push him to get his driver's license. They can help me with food delivery.

Monday, January 05, 2026

Oh No

I'm toast. Another grievous mistake today at work and I know I will be fired soon. But I have a plan. Saw an ad for training for pilates instructors to potentially work at their gym. People have said I'm a good teacher. Classes start Feb 20. Trying to hang on. I have applied for jobs since November when received my bad review. Not one interview. I don't know what else to do. Could do the food delivery route, but doesn't pay enough. I said to roommates I will kick them out if I lose my job. I can't support dead weights who don't help me out. Sure they clean, mow the lawn and run snow blower. No income and no hope of income either.

Thermostat Argument

Well that was fun. Roommate got upset I turned down the heat when he set it at 75.

Then he complains about all the money on space heaters that turn off at a certain point, my decorations I waste money on cause I don't use them, and food they don't like. I explained 75 makes me sweat and since I pay for heat I will handle 73 max. I have flannel sheets and a comforter I can't use on my bed cause the house is too hot for them. His girlfriend turned it 75 and changed it 73. Then he goes off how a rotten roommate I am chasing his friends away by refusing to help him clean. I replied that if I am so terrible then he can call friends up and find a new home. He asked why I'm being stubborn.

I said I don't want him here anymore. He exploded into a rage and went downstairs slamming things. Then I heard him crying. Just now he tells me I don't need to drive him to the driving test tomorrow. He probably canceled the appointment to take the written test. Well I gotta go take dogs to their groomer appointment.

As I got harnesses and leashes on the dogs, he explains he grew up in a large suburb house where 1 house could take up this whole block. Yeah, and I grew up in a small town in a middle class house with 4 bedrooms upstairs and my yard was 3 town lots. So what is his point. Point is he doesn't want to live here. Well, being here almost 3 years says differently. He is not a prisoner, he can walk out the door anytime. I won't beg him to stay. PS. I did offer an electric blanket so they aren't so cold. He rather have a weighted blanket so canceled ordered electric blanket and ordered a weighten blanket. Have to tell him I have read articles about pets suffocating under weighted blankets when they could not escape from them.

Dogs to the Groomers

Took the dogs to the groomer today. They are so well behaved and come home smelling fresh. To which, I take them for a walk as we return home and they roll in the grassy dirt.
