Saturday Night Wedding Parties

Had 4 wedding blocks this weekend. Saturday night had 2 wedding parties needing transportation so the driver had a little help, but then the help went to go bartend so they spent the night going back and forth between the two venues plus other people wanting rides from a bar. Lots of drunk people dressed up fancy in the lobby. Once they return from a bar, they always head for the snack shop.

Had a guest complain about a puddle of water near the bathroom. Funny the room above it had the same complaint. Had only 3 rooms available to move them to. Put them on the other side of the hotel. Guest was worried I would place them right below their old room that probably also had a water leak on the carpet. I explained I wouldn't do that to them.

Had someone bring in two husky dogs who were wandering the street outside. They had collars and well taken care of. They said they called animal control but they were busy. Yeah, we called about a kitten in the parking garage and they never came. I put the dogs in the sales department and soon after a cop came to take them away. I remember once it took them 7 hours to pick up dogs my shuttle driver found outside and they followed her inside.

Had the reservation line call at 3 AM explaining someone wanted to check in early at 9 AM. Explained we were sold out and housekeeping doesn't arrive until 9 AM so we won't have a room to check them into. Oh, but they have to check in early and need a room promptly. They are requesting an early check in. Then they can call later to see if any rooms become available. Guests need to learn requests are not guarentees of anything. You can request anything under the sun but that doesn't mean I can deliver it.

Interesting guest

Checked in a walk in without a reservation. Next morning they complain they received a paper receipt under their door. Yes, that is a service we provide so guests don't have to come to the front desk for a receipt which can cause long lines at the counter. They are upset someone viewed the rate of their room and this was highly inappropriate action to do. Excuse me? I checked them into their room and asked if they wanted an emailed receipt and they refused to give me an email address. And seriously, do you really think we care what your room rate was? You think we don't know what they room rates are at this hotel? I work here. Can't speak for the security guard delivering the pile of receipts, but when I deliver them under the doors, I don't read them other than the room number.

Roommate cleaned today. Said they spent 3 hours cleaning up the bathroom and kitchen. Now I feel like a terrible roommate. I'm always tired, almost a zombie. Simple things like brushing my teeth or putting away clean dishes from the dishwasher away are difficult. I don't brush my hair anymore and use my fingers. I don't help with cleaning or yardwork. He said I do enough bringing home breakfast food from the hotel and keep a warm house for us to sleep in in.

Happy Friday the 13th

Well that was fun. Local grocery store has a special where you can get 13 cents gas rewards for every $20 you spend on your grocery store gas card. No paycheck today. Have to wait until next Friday. Apparently I started working on a payday so have to wait some more and hope paycheck covers the overdraft amount in my bank account. Otherwise bank will get mad at me again for being overdrawn more than 15 days in a row. I do have a check from old hotel for all my bank runs. Try to cash it at the bank. Bank won't cash it cause I'm overdrawn so have to deposit it. No groceries. Roommate did get groceries a couple days ago but we still need bread, rice, and juice.

Got to work to find my manager volunteered me for shuttle driver service becaue we have 4 wedding blocks at the hotel this weekend and Saturday has 2 wedding venues needing transportation for the guests. I answered back that this night auditor does not drive the shuttle unless under EXTREME OBLIGATION. It gives me anxiety to drive that shuttle van and I hate doing it.

Why me?

Wake up and check my emails. Roommate wakes up and wants sex. I said the other night when I worked "Not tonight", but I don't recall promising sex the next day (which didn't happen since I was in bed all day until 6 PM). I got enough to deal with without him begging for attention cause his girlfriend won't get her butt over here. I'm getting medical bills I can't pay and need to get started on my bankruptcy paperwork that are causing panic attacks every time I think about it. I'm not in the mood for a booty call.

Then the toilet lever breaks and I have no money to replace it. At least not until tomorrow and I was hoping to buy groceries with my money. I only have 1 toilet so it needs to get fixed. Roommate left so no idea where he went. Dear God, why do you hate so much? Am I not suffering enough? I'm not in enough pain?

Roommate went out to get a replacement part and fixed the toilet. Then left with car buddy. Soon after the elusive girlfriend shows up at last. She is playing with kittens. That was awkward answering the door. Oh hi, now your boyfriend can stop begging me for sex.

Received COBRA paperwork for my canceled work insurance. $750 a month to keep my insurance. I can't afford to buy food or gas for my car until I get a paycheck. Have to wait for work insurance to kick in before looking for a therapist everyone says I need.

We have groceries

Roommate got paid so bought some groceries. I can't use my credit cards cause I'm in the process of declaring bankruptcy and my bank account is overdrawn so I have to wait to get paid to buy anything. Plus I have to pay the utilities and get gas for the car soon. Notice came from a credit card that my payment is late. Better get my paperwork for bankruptcy started. We went to the grocery store and he said we need to pick up his girlfriend. Again, she doesn't give her location and then he says she is taking an Uber. She never comes. Roommate is yelling at the kittens meowing again. He has been giving my adult cat kibble moistened with water instead of kitten food. I suggested getting kitten food at the store and he said it cost too much. He gave them a bath cause one like to literally step into the food and get it all over their fur. Other got food in her fur so she got a bath too. We think they are both girls, they are so tiny. I'm guessing no more than 8 weeks old.

Quite a day

Roommate is happy today. His squeeze confessed her love for him, wants to get married, and coming over tonight. She said to get the bed and candles ready cause they will have a wild time tonight. Roommate is ready to have her move in with us. Great, another homeless junkie to feed. That would make 4 adults, 3 cats, and 2 kittens in this house. Kittens have new names from Yin and Yang. They are now Pockets and Jasmine. Well, we go to pick up this girlfriend at a hospital parking lot cause she is nearby. Then she cuts all communication when he asks where she is located. We wait 20 minutes and no reply from her of her location to take her to my house. No reply so we go home. Roommate is so upset he is yelling at the meowing kittens to shut up. Then he wants sex from me cause girlfriend got him all excited expecting sex. Not tonight. I'm stressed, my Mom is in the hospital and I have paperwork to do to declare bankruptcy. Not in the mood to screw him cause his girlfriend ain't here. Besides, I have to go to work in 2 hours. He went to bed disappointed.

New additions

Woke up this morning to find the dish soap in the bathtub. Few hours later my roommate announces I will hate him because he brought home 2 kittens. His buddy's mom's cat had a litter. One is calico and one is black with white paws. He named them Yin and Yang. They also have fleas. I doused my cats with flea med but didn't have one for the visitor cat. Kittens got a bath and he used my flea spray I have. Asked if he had kitten food and kitten milk. He replied that I act like he never took care of a cat before. Well after I had to pay for dog food and share my cat's food with his pets cause he failed to get any, yes, it occurs to me to ask these questions. Kittens need more nutrition than adult cat food and pieces are larger than tiny kitten kibble pieces. Later he left to hang out at his buddy's house. I thought he was kicked out of his grandparents' house. I am to look in on the kittens, but not let them out of their carrier.

Babysitting night auditor

Left work after the night audit was finished instead of staying all night. Night auditor asked if I wanted security to escort me to my car. No, I'm fine. I'm scarier than anything out there. He doubted that. Besides, I have pepper spray. Just ask my brother who is 9 years older than me and twice my size how hard I can punch and kick. If I am brave enough to take him on, I will take on anyone threathening me. I've learn my most powerful weapon is my mouth.

Drunk guest

Had a drunk lady who struggled to focus on me while she was babbling on about an event tomorrow. Showed the new night auditor where the event notebook was located and the drunk lady says that I appear not to give a sh*t. Ok. Explained her group has an event tomorrow at such time in such room. Is there something else I can help her with? She exploded at the night auditor for looking at her the wrong way. Then asks if I'm fun and will I be at the event tomorrow. I replied that I am fun and I don't work events. I finally called for security. Explained that since there is nothing more I can do for her, then she needs to leave the counter. Now she wants to cancel tomorrow's event because I am rude. I explain she has to discuss that with sales in the morning. I go in the back to fetch pillows for another guest and when I came back she was gone.

Had another guest ask how I stay awake all night. I replied: Caffeine.

Roommate had to go to the ER today after coughing up blood. He said he has the rhinovirous (aka common cold). At least it was nothing serious like pneumonia.

Roommate Scolding

Roommate asked what I did today. Read my email and slept. He said this house is filthy with garbage everywhere (well, garbage is his since I toss mine away) maggots in old cat food in the waste basket, and cleaning this house might get me out of my depression. He used up my cleaning sprays. He will buy some more. My next days off we will be cleaning. He threw my waste basket away cause it was getting gross at the bottom. I put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher when he went to work.

He was in foul mood anyway cause his squeeze never came last night. She said she hadn't eaten so he cooked spaghetti with alfredo sauce with fried chicken tenders. And she never came. Apparently she is as flaky as my sister who says she is coming over today and shows up four days later.

Went into his room for a mechanical pencil in my desk drawers. He said the pens don't work. My mechanical pencils were gone and the replacement lead containers were still there. I used a wood pencil from my pencil cup. Erasers are hard so can't use them.

Asked if he was busy downstairs cause I needed to do laundry. He said he had a ton of laundry to do. He put in a washer full of clothes and left for his fast food job. I did my laundry after putting his in the dryer and got mine done before going to work.

Roommate had another trauma. He set down his bong outside on a windy day and it fell over. His weeed blew away in the wind. He was devastated.

Bankruptcy Attorney

Visited the bankruptcy attorney. Declaring bankruptcy is as bad as it seems. $1300 in lawyer and court fees. Now have list my assets and debts along with income and expenses. Sigh. At least I don't have to sell my house or car. I get to take a class on budgeting my money. Yeah, my problem wasn't budgeting my money. My problem was buying a used car that broke down constantly and then receiving zero income for seven months.

Babysitter to the new Night Auditor

One of the shuttle drivers said the new night auditor is creepy. I can see why she thinks that. He is always joking around. I asked if he was the joker and he said he is just nervous so he jokes around. Seems like an ok guy. Has a fiancee and could apply for social security if he wanted to. He asked if I ever got scared at night. No, I'm scarier than anything out there. He doubted that. Well, just ask my brother who is 9 years older than and twice my size how hard I can punch and kick. Never had fear taking him on during our youth.

He is getting the night audit with few questions.

Roommate's buddy is allowed back in the house. Apparently he was high on meth and sleepwalking to move stuff around and I place my purse in his car. He says he doesn't remember doing it. They made up.

Interesting phone call

Had my interesting phone call for the night. Guy calls saying he left something in his room and wants it mailed back. OK. He wants me to check the room right now. Security won't answer her walkie talkie so I go up myself. There is a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. Can't go in so he will have to wait for the maids to clean it. The room is not listed as checked out so I don't know if someone is in the room or not. He demands I barge in the room and retrieve his left behind item RIGHT NOW! No. He gives the phone to his lady who demands I knock the sign down and go in. It's not like I will walk in to see 2 naked people. I don't know that. How about I break the rules and barge in the door. How about I follow hotel policy that forbids me to open the door. If I had more intelligence or better pay, I would open the door. I hung up the phone.

I've received too many crank calls asking to barge into a room for a lost item in the middle of the night to find they have never been a registered guest. I also get calls asking for towels for a room we don't have. The real interesting calls are the scammers. You are receiving a UPS package tomorrow so write down the tracking number and read it back to them. Then they say they are the property owner (Really, we are corporate owned hotel and have a CEO) and want me to confirm my cell phone number. Don't think so. Then I get the fake IT calls from a weird number on the caller ID claiming my general manager ordered an update on the computer system (Really, we get automatic overnight updates every night). They want to remote into my computer to add the update. Don't think so. Why don't I trust them? Let's see. 1 They are calling me. 2 They don't know the name of the general manager who supposedly ordered this update. 3 They are not calling from a Tech Support number. Need I say more?

That was fun

Well that was fun trying to remember how to do the audit. Found new guy's directions (that I wrote) so that helped. Apparently he called in yesterday and no call today so unsure if he quit or is sick. No wonder they were so eager to hire me back. Supposedly he returns tomorrow. Had a security I had before. Guess the one working when I left was fired when caught sleeping.

Sigh of Relief

Bankruptcy Attorney finally answered me. Called to make an appointment for next week. Now have to gather my information. I worked bankrupcty auditing before so I know how this works.

Had a weird morning. I wake up to my keys on the stove and my purse is gone. As roommate's friend living here didn't know where it was. He said my roommate had it. He later asked where my roommate was cause he couldn't find him. He should be aleep in my basement. I text message roommate where he was and why did he take my purse? Friend later said he found roommate outside. Sometime after that friend brings in my purse from his car and hands it to me. I check and nothing is missing. Hours later my roommate wakes up and comes upstairs asking what am I talking about concerning my purse. He has been sleeping all night downstairs. He is furious his friend would take my purse and in the process of kicking him out of my house.

Start working at the old hotel again tonight. Less pay of course, but room to move up. Maybe I move into sales, their people keep quitting.

Anxiety Attack

Had 3 days off and spent it lying down feeling sick from anxeity attacks. Thursday morning I felt so sick I couldn't go to work. Messaged the HR person at old hotel that I don't believe I can at that hotel anymore cause my anxiety is making me sick. She rehired me on the spot. I said I could do front desk on nights I don't do the night audit. Just not the morning shift cause that would destroy my sleep cycle. I can do the afternoon shifts. I wrote out a letter of good bye to my fellow employees and returned my key card and name tag to the hotel. I pick up a garage pass from my old hotel. Naturally the finance director at hotel was disappointed cause he needed my help (accounting should be a 2 person department). Start working tomorrow night. My anxiety went away too. Tried messaging more bankrutcy attorneys.

Finally a job

I got a job at the old hotel as night auditor. I said I could do both part time jobs until I get a full time job again. Sure I'll I will stick around with the general manager who wants me to quit just to spite him. Now if my anxiety would calm down cause I felt sick all day night. Been sending messages to bankruptcy lawyers and employment lawyers. They are not answering me. Start reworking the at the old hotel on Monday.

Just give me a job please

Old hotel job is dragging their feet rehiring me. Called the Assistant General Manager and I have to meet the Task Force General Manager before they can rehire me offically. who knows when I will meet this guy. I applied for unemployment for the 5th time in my time. Thanks to the governor I have to take workshops every week. Yeah, I already know how to do a resume, interview, and use a computer. Last workshop I did for unemployment was for resume writing and complete waste of my time.

On a plus side, I got out my Halloween decorations. Roommate was so happy, he loves Halloween. Buddy and roommate returned home from their fast food job wasted. Roommate said they plan to move into another country and take up farming, then open a restaurant, then become millionaires. He said I can be the secretary of their house cleaning business. Yes, I am an accountant and could handle that.

Visitor Dog is Gone

Mother of the dog owner came by to pick her up at last (been waiting 6 months for this moment when I said the dog could stay for a week). I petted her goodbye and grabbed all her things. I even let her keep a squeaky bunny toy she liked that I gave my ferrets for Easter. Cats don't play with it. Sure it was nice to take her on walks and practice training her with treats, but also a headache taking her out to potty when roommate wasn't home. She kept escaping the yard via the holes in the fence and whenever I went out the front door cuase the outer door doesn't shut all the way. Last night she escaped out the front door when I took out garbage and she came back half hour scratching at the door. Cats were terrified of her. She was a friendly dog, but they reacted with hisses and growls which made her respond with barking. It was stressful keeping them apart and keeping the dog in the kennel all the time cause she kept pooping on the floor (even right after taking her outside). The last 2 walks around the local lake trail I went by myself to have some peace. I bring her and she wants everyone to pet her and sniff every dog so had to hold her back a lot. Plus the 2nd miles wore her out so had to rest after the 1st mile. Hopefully my cat Misty who has been living under the couch since the visitor dog's arrival will start pooping in the litterbox again instead of under the end table where the ferrets use to do their business on newspapers. Bit sad, bit relief.

In other news, roommate's buddy started his first day at the fast food place. He got his buddy a job there so doing less food delivery. Roommate got called in on his day off to work because two employees walked out so they both went to work at the same time. Hope the job works out for them.

Demotion starts Monday

Going to 2 days a week starting next week for less pay per hour. General Manager told me again to quit and go on unemployment cause I would make more money on unemployment than working 2 days a week. Yeah, I can still work my 2 days a week while on unemployment too. I've been thorugh unemployment 4 times so I know how this works.

They let me go early cause ran out of work for me to do. Stopped by the old hotel and spoke with the assistant general manager. He only has a 2 day night auditor job available for me. They just hired a bunch of new people so he has to wait and see how the new people will work out since they are still in training. I said I could do that and still work at the other hotel. 4 days a week is better than 2 days. He said he will call me on Monday to explain what they can do for me. Went home for a few hours to pet my cats. Returned for happy hour to explain this might be my last Friday visit because I might be working here again next week. The HR person was driving the shuttle (when did that start) and happy to see me. Front Desk Supervisor would be happy to have me back so he can stop working the night audit. They have a bunch of task force people working there since they fired the general manager so will have to wait and see what happens.

Hope restored

Applied for a job thorugh the wants ads at my old hotel. The HR person answered back they would be happy to have me back. Good to be appreciated. Called them and they said they have to speak to the assistant general manager first. I said I was open the job description. Waiting for the call.

Return after a cold night

After a cold night in the tent, roommate and buddy return as I was leaving for work. He said they will stay here a few days. I said that was fine. Buddy had been hanging around for weeks so I am used to him being around. Quiet kid, at least around me. They play video games together. Roommate said his fast food job is going well. Not too many ladies chasing him at this place. He said that was a bit of a relief cause he's not in the mood to flirt.

New roommate

Roommate informed that his car buddy he had been doing food delivery with is getting kicked out of his grandparents' house and forced to live in his car. He said they were going to sleep in the tent I gave him this summer until they have enough money for thier own apartment or rental house. They will use his car to get to roommate's fast food job and the food delivery thing. Naturally roommate will keep his stuff at my place and visit often. Naturally I will be taking care of the pets alone. He will take the pets when they get their own place.

Still have backlog

Funny. Yesterday, Mr. Finance Director asked me to work all 5 days next week instead of my demoted 2 days. Of course I said, I need the money. And if the general manager is so itchy to get rid of me, I will stay just to spite him. I checked my work work website where we ask for days off and I am still at my current salary. Will see when that changes. They never told me my new hourly rate.

Friday at last

I had a surreal day at work. General Manager is now getting the mail and distributing it instead of accounting. OK, whatever. Mr. Finance Director was given access to the Sales department system. Funny I was never granted that access. Earlier this week Mr. Director took my safe key under "due diligence" cause the petty cash was short, which happened during my trainer's possession of the key and I had no idea how much was supposed to be in the petty cash. But hey, I don't have to deal with the general manager demanding a spreadsheet to explain why the cash count is off. Though, we get paid extra for bank runs so I get to miss out on $40 next month. He is also doing the morning revenue reconcilation so I just go through my emails and print invoices. The general manager is constantly stopping by Mr. Director's office to discuss things. Better him than me. I verified and charged our group events. Mr. Director decided he will verify the group event charges in the future and I just send the bills. Ok, whatever. He can handle fixing all the front desk mistakes that is one of my stressors. Yeah, you are helping me by entering banquet event charges into the system, but they are also giving me extra work fixing their screw ups. He ordered some paper and staples for the office. Funny, I was never given that access either. He also said the corporate office didn't like me using petty cash for office supplies, it only should go to pay for wood going to the grill. Excuse me? They won't give me a business credit card and they won't provide me with logins to direct bill things from companies, or tell me where to place orders. How else do they expect me to buy highlighters and Sharpie pens?

Then the end of the day comes and Mr. Director asks me to work the full 5 days next week to catch up instead of 2. We have a backlog caused by my 3 day absence. Of course, I said yes cause I need the money. I even checked the work website where we get paystubs and ask for days off. I am still listed under my salary and not changed to a new part time wage yet. Have to check on Monday to see if they change it. I applied for jobs but no answer yet. I was looking for part time extra money gigs, but now have to switch to full time job searching cause of the general manager wants me gone.

Went to my weekly visit to the old job hotel and had my free drinks with their happy hour. Got half price chicken tenders. Explained why I wasn't there last Friday (I was on my way to a psych ward) to visit them. They were supportive saying it was terrible that work demoted me after going to the hospital. I told them my roommate got a new job at a fast food place and he is so much happier than when sitting on the couch all day playing video games. He is still doing food delivery with his friend with a car. He is teaching him to drive too. Not having a driver's license really hurts his job prospects. Old supervisor was ready for me to come back, but I can't afford what they were willing to pay last time I was there and I hated working the overnight shift. Then came home to relax.

Therapist Day

Yesterday my new director asked if I would be in today. Of course, unless I've been fired and don't know it. He thought with all that was going on that I might suddenly quit and not come in. Nope, I need money. I have a ton of debt and now with the medical bills I have to declare bankruptcy. I'm squeezing the most money out of these people before going down to 2 days a week next week. Director went to a dentist appointment and I went to my therapist appointment. But first my roommate needed to be let into the house cause he can't find his key. Spoke to 3 people in the office about my issues. Everybody was nice and have to come back later for a check up. Then went back to work.

Go ahead and kick me while I'm down

Well my idea of keeping my job and pay to shift to a supportive role didn't work. 2 days as an accounts payable assistant and 3 days night auditor was the only option cause it's not in the budget for 2 full time accountants. I can't do front desk work cause I can't stand for 8 hours from torn tendons in my ankle that is required and have ear damage so hate being on telephones. So I am going to hourly rate that they refuse to inform me the rate of and going down to part time for 2 days a week, which means at the end of the month I lose my health insurance because part time employees don't get health insurance. The general manager at my hotel explained I was inadequately trained. Yeah, whose fault was that? I did the job I was trained to do and this guy wanted someone more than what I was trained to do. Then the general manager tells me to quit and go on unemployment cause this wasn't working out. Worked my duties and talked to my fellow coworkers. I told a few people I wanted to hang myself in the garage once I got home. Naturally they told me not to, not over this. I replied I have to visit a therapist tomorrow as a condition being released from the psych ward. My roommate flipped out calling me right after I sent the message shouting at me how I am breaking his heart, my cats need me, and my family will be shattered. I think his shouting woke me out from my dark hole I keep falling into. I know, strange. I promised my roommate I would not hurt myself and I never go back on a promise. I spent the evening reading emails shaking from fighting the urge to scratch myself until I bleed. I haven't done that since my grandma died when I was 8 and her funeral was on my 9th birthday. I broke pencils and scratched myself until I bled. I managed not to scratch myself all evening and very proud of myself. Now I have to visit the therapist tomorrow. My roommate says I need one to get over my depression. Will see what happens. I have to start looking for a new job. It took me a year to find this job.

Bad to worse

Arrived at work to people happy to see me. They all thought I had Covid since I said I was in the ICU. I said I had a panic attack, went to a psych ward, and given anxiety medication so I will be very calm, but to a few I confess my 88 pills that I swallowed trying to commit suicide. I showed my roommate the bottle and he counted what was left to figure out I took 88 pills. He then took them from me. General Manager calls me into his office. He explains my predecessor is back and I am going down to 2 days a week as accounts payable and the other 3 days as a night auditor. My great fear of losing my job has come true. I meet my predecessor and we walk around the block talking about what happened to me. The rest of the day I spend with my replacement learning new things I was never taught. Now I have to find a new job. Pronto! I'm hopeful I can convince them to let me stay at my salary job and just shift into a supportive role for the Director of Finance.

Activity day

It is finally group activity day and I am hopefully leaving. We played Scategories, had a talk about emotions, and then another recognizing angry responses. I saw a new doctor and had a good talk. She is letting me leave. They just have to come up with a post-facility outpatient plan. They have me call my roommate to get the insurance card information and I later call him to say when I am coming home. Visit a social worker. I have an appointment with a therapist and have anxiety medication to pick up. Late in the afternoon I finally get to come home. And the doors are locked. I have to wait for my roommate to come home to open the door. He is out food delivering with his friend who has a car. He had a job interview at a fast food place at the time I was leaving in arranged transportation. We hug and I said he could stay for as long as he wants no matter what anyone says. I confess I had been mean to him and apologized. I have lied to him, insulted him, and embarassed him in front of his friends. I looked down on him and pushed him away. I've also been hiding sexual fantasies about him which made him beg for some booty. He got it. He leaves for more food deliveries.

Starting to move

This morning my back was hurting from the hard bed and started stretching. I am starting to become more aware of things and able to move more. I did my ballet warm up exercises and the nurses caught me during their checks. They ask me every few hours if I want to kill myself or harm others. Of course not (I want to throw myself out of a window to leave this place but can't tell them that). See the doctor again. Then stay in bed all day and come out for meals. I have no idea what day of the week it is but they say I might be able to go home tomorrow.

I want to go home

I wake up to a tight chest and explain to the nurses the hospital gave me Zoloft the last time that happened. Nurse checks my vitals and my heart is racing but everything is normal. They deduce the anxiety and give a Zoloft. Nurse brings papers to sign for admission since I couldn't last night. I am threatened with a court order that starts Monday if I don't sign Voluntarily committing myself to their care. I made a line on the paper cause I still can't sign my name. Spend the whole day in bed and only come out for meals. I don't like being held against my will. Meet the doctor on the way back from breakfast. We had a good talk. Nurses are very nice here and change regularly. They seem to assume I'm a homeless and jobless drug addict. Perhaps most people who come into psych wards are. I explain that I own a house, have a job, and not on drugs.

Turn of events

Wake up with hope I will be released after visiting the psychiatrist and finish my work this afternoon. The lady comes by and we talk. She says I am not ready to go home and go back to the job that I nearly committed suicide over. I have to go to a psych ward for 3-5 days. I am terrified of losing my job missing so much work. I only get 5 days of paid time off. I ask my roommate to call work that I will be a away 3-5 days. My chest gets tight and can hardly breathe. The psychiatrist says it's anxiety cause I am scared of what happens next. They have 2 women inspect me for bruises all over my naked body because I am going to a psych ward. I get picked up in a car and taken out of town to some facility in the late afternoon. I can feel things but still fuzzy brained. I tell the nurse I don't know what day of the week it is or what time it is. They have me change clothes and again inspect my naked body for bruises. Good thing I am half numb and fizzy brained. They ask if I felt doped and I said no. They tell me I am there Voluntarily and ask me to sign papers. I can barely move and can't sign my name. I object that I am here Voluntarily when the hospital sent me here. I tell them I want to go home. They won't let me go home until a doctor discharges me. Spend my first night in a psych ward. The bed is hard and food is terrible.

In the ICU

Today I stayed in bed all day and getting up to go to the toilet. I get help cause they don't want me to fall. They finally let me eat in the afternoon. The doctor I met in the ER came by to check how I was doing and recognized him. I start to feel again so aspirin is wearing off. I manage to call work and apologize for not coming the day before. I explained I had a medical emergency and in the ICU. I was told I might get released tomorrow and come to work in the afternoon. The people watching me at all times change and I have no idea what day of the week it is or even what time it is. Don't want to watch TV so they play 80's music for me. A social worker comes to visit me. They move me out of ICU and into P4 which I guess is internal medicine area. There the babysitters are gone and a video camera monitors me. They also have an alarm on the bed in case I try to get up.

First time in an ambulance

I woke up to my alarm going off. Thinking it was Saturday I thought I could sleep in today. Phone rings and messages are left. My ears are still ringing so can't hear much of what they say. I stumble around trying to drink water and milk plus a few crackers. I finally relax on another sofa next to the couch covered in vomit. In the afternoon, my roommate and his friend come home to ask what happened to the couch. I'm in a daze and explain my ears are blown so I couldn't hear him. He hollers out asking why my ears are blown. I explained I swallowed a bunch of aspirin. He asked how many and I said over 80 pills. He asked why I did that and I replied to kill myself. He is furious screaming at me how I am his best friend and why did I do that. He calls an ambulance. I can't get up so they help me get outside. Had my first ambulance ride. I can barely speak. They ask what I took and when. Then they ask why. They hook me up to a heart monitor and IVs. They have someone in my room all the time. They mostly play on their phone. After several hours, I'm getting hungry but they don't let me eat. They move me to the ICU and I spend my first night there. My roommate came by and I apologize for freaking him out. I don't want him to call my family. They will take it harder than he did. He gives me a hug and some clothes for when I get released. They check on me every four hours and draw blood from. I'm so numb and ears still ringing, I just lie still.

Mental Breakdown

Overload of work brought on by missing Labor Day so trying to catch up to everything. General Manager comes to me stating we will work our accounts receivables first thing in the morning. Ok, I have other things I need to work on, like finishing the end of the month reporting I have to complete in the next two days. I go home and roommate is spending the night with a friend. I let the dog roam the house. I become greatly disturbed of my general manager who needs to back off and let me do my job. I do what I was trained to do and what I have access to. I grow emotionally numb to the point I grab a bottle of aspirin. I check online what the lethal dose is. I swallow pills 5-10 at at time over the course of 2 hours. My ears start ringing. I grow very sleepy. My heart is pounding probably from the pills that were for migraines so they have aspirin and caffeine. I start puking all over the couch and can barely move. I keep separating the cats from the dog until I can't get up. My sister called about moving Mom into a nursing home and asking if I wanted anything from her apartment. I couldn't hear much what she said and just replied I was sleepy. I didn't have the heart to tell her I hopefully was dying soon. Saw my guardian angel in the living room and prayed that if the angel wanted me to die to please let me die, if they wanted me to live, then let me live. I am leaving my life into their hands. It's not that I wanted to die, I want the nonstop suffering to stop. I felt the effects of the caffeine wear off after several hours. I got up to go to bed.

Happy Birthday to Meeeeeee!!!!!

Morning of my birthday began strange. Get up and start putting away the dishes. Roommate also wakes up along with his friend. Roommate says he can't make it to my family birthday party cause he and friend with a car are going to do food deliveries with DoorDash and Uber Eats. But he wants to take me out for my birhtday later. Before he leaves, he needs a pick me up so he stands besides me to clean bong pipe. Apparently he has been high for a week. Yes, he has a Gatorade bottle bong with water in it. He gives a demonstartion outside of him using the bong with marijuana. I never have seen a bong before so this an unexpected exeperince. You can guess that I don't have many friends, especially not drug addicts. I told him I didn't realize he was such a drug addict. He replies he is not a drug addict, he just loves marijuana and willing to try any drug his addict friends offer. In fact, a few days ago at a party he tried cocaine. He said it made his nose numb so he didn't like it. OK, thank you for sharing that with me. Both of leave to go our separate ways.

Go to a local restuarant to meet my family for my birthday dinner. Disappoint my family when I explain my roommate is not coming and it is a good thing they didn't view him high as a kite. My famuly tend to think illegal drugs are stupid and think I should throw out my roommate. Finish our meals and head for brother's house. They made me angel food cake for my birthday. Take pictures and sister plays birthday songs on her phone. I get out my phone and play the Beatles Birthday to do a dance for my family. After a while, came home to migraine so laid next to my cat Bilbo for four hours. Once the headache subsided, I let the dog out outside to pee. Roommate returned and we go out to the hotel we used to work at for dinner. I order a Blue Hawaiin and chicken tneders. Roommate brought a beer bottle with him and left it outside to drink while waiting for our food. He ordered a cheesecake. Bartender gets mad they had a beer bottle outside when they are underage (and drinking alcohol in public). Well roommate forgot his debit card and hotel doesn't take Apple Pay, he wired me money and I gave him the cash I got from my Mom for my birthday. Even exchange. My food and drink were free cause it's my birthday. He wanted to buy me dinner so he was a little disappointed. But he needs his money to pay off his court fines.

Now back home and getting ready for bed cause I have to work tomorrow. Gotta pay the bills. I even applied for part time jobs to make extra since roommate is never paying rent I asked for 3 months ago. He says he has to pay the court fines off before he pays me rent, then he lost his jobs. Hopefully he can make money with this food delivery.

Enjoyed the beach

Labor Day weekend so enjoyed the beach one last time. Yesterday I did my walk around the lake trail. In another month, it will be too cold to do that. Tomorrow is my 48th Birthday and it's Labor Day. I plan on going to a restaurant for lunch with family. Since it's Labor Day, restaurants wll probably close early so can't do supper.

Pipe burst at the hotel

Enjoying my lunch break and hear rain, in my basement office. Figure a pipe burst, I look out out the door and yes, we have waterfall in the basement hallway coming within inches of my office door. Engineers came over with garbage cans to catch the water.

After 2 hours, they got the water shut off and the repair guy that came could start making repairs. Hot water was turned off for 3 hours for the whole hotel. The service elevator nearby was shut off but the other elevators were still going. I was leaving by the time the housekeeping crew came in the office with a shopvac to clean up the water in the carpet.

Chauffer Service

Roommate called explaining work buddy house loaned out his car to another work friend and they forgot a few things so they need me to go pick them up, drive them back to my place, and then take them back to work buddy's house. Which of course I did cause I am so nice.

At Wit's End

Well, I have been applying for night or weekend jobs to make extra money to pay off my credit card debt. Today I started applying for full-time jobs. I am tired of dealing with this new General Manager. I am done being his secretary and training him how everything works around here. Today he gave me another pet project right when we are starting our end of the month stuff: Go through all the audit packets I have in a box and make detailed spreadsheet explaining why the restaurants are making so many adjustments. Excuse me, can he not ask the restaurant staff why there are so many adjustments? He will get a faster and less time-consuming answer. I just get what they write down. I am so ready to quit right now. I loved my job and hoped to be here for years, but I am done being his secretary.

Took visitor dog to local lake trail again. They were excited is understatement. People weren't as friendly and only a few petted them. Oh well, worked off stress. Roommate is staying at work buddy's house, which is actually his grandparents' house. Roommate commenting how he read my social media post having a bad day and I think he is avoiding me.

Job interview that didn't happen

Roomamte was up all night playing video games with his work buddy asleep on the couch. He said he had a job interview today when I left for work. Return home and there was no interview today, he filled out job applications. A few hours after I got home he finally fell asleep.

Death in the family

We had a death in the family. My father's cousin's husband died suddenly. He was in the bathroom and collapsed with his hands on his chest. Paramadics couldn't revive him. I went to the visitation. Apparently the cousin has been expericing unplugged lights turned on in the bedroom and the dog barking at nobody in the bathroom. She said to the spirit of her husband "I'm okay".

Roommate has been gone for two days and suddenly came back to provide half a pizza that I paid for to people sitting in a truck in my driveway. Those people were the ones who got roommate involved with depositing a forged check that got him arrested. In short, career criminals know where I live. Apparently roommate and his work buddy went to a party (hotel room or drug house?) and got high.

Walk at the lake

Took the visitor dog out for a walk at the local lake trail. Pup was escatic and ready to sniff everyone. I had trouble explaining not everyone wants to pet them. We had a good walk and they were so happy.

Hope that wasn't me

Dropped by my old hotel to say hi, and grab chicken tenders. I viewed a new person at the front desk. I said it was good they are hiring new people. Bartender agreed we need more staff. Person is the new interm hotel manager that will be here until a new one hired. Then commented that I hope my exit interview didn't get the old General Manager fired. I said in the exit interview we needed more staff cause everyone was stressed out and supervisors who have been here over 10 years were ready to quit. Plus the 2 Front Desk Managers they hired were complete disasters. One was a thief (when they quit money stopped being missing from the cash drawer) and the other was on her phone all night when training her to do the night audit.

Roommate is off camping again with his work friend. Apparently another former coworker is joining them. I get to take care of the pets again. Visitor dog is enjoying our walks.

Hotel Inspection

We passed our hotel inspection. They spent the past week paintig and cleanig tile grout. 96% is damn great.

Missing light

Discovered one of the under cupboard lights is missing. Oh, one of the drug friends my roommate brought over and stayed here for a week is a thief. Well, thank you for bringing a thief into my house. Some plastic flowers are missing too. Do I need to walk the whole house to figure out what else is missing?

Also discovered why he had a falling out with a former coworker he was living with in a hotel room. His now ex girlfriend was this former coworker's girlfriend who he stole from him.

I might be losing my roommate soon. He and his former coworker at his latest job have been hanging around playing video games on my TV. They are looking at apartments and rental houses. But first they have to get jobs cause both are unemployed. They want to work at the same place and create a house cleaning business cause they have trouble finding jobs. Good luck to them.

Camping trip

Friend spent the night on the couch while roommate slept on the floor. Came home from work to a mowed lawn and roommate announced he is going camping in the tent I bought him a while back and with his friend. He will be gone the next 3 days. I get to take care of the dog. Oh joy. This will be a strange weekend when I am so used to having him around. I took the dog out for a walk. The dog is starting the bark again. At most she was whine, but never bark since she came. I don't know if she feels safe to bark or hearing the neighbor dogs barking encouraged this.

This morning I let the dog out and visitor cat came out too. Got them back inside to let my cat Bilbo outside. Tried to put up the gate so dog could be in the living room without being attacked by Bilbo, but she kept knocking it down so had to put her back in the kennel. If I leave her alone in roommate's room, she poops on the floor. He returned to collect a few things holding a beer bottle. Guess they drank beer last night until they were ready to go to sleep. Nice camping trip for him.

I feel so trapped by all my debt without any way out with my roommate out of work, again. I'm tired of carrying him. I believe I need to declare bankruptcy or sell my house. 2 cats and 3 ferrets are buried in the backyard so I don't want to move. I love my house and want to stay. After visiting my old hotel, I walked across the bridge to get to my car. I so badly wanted to say to hell with it and jump off. But what will happen to my cats if I leave. What will happen to my roommate. I am so tired of praying for a miracle. I planned on going to the beach today and go for a walk tomorrow. Hopefully this weekend off will calm my nerves. I have household chores to do and groceries to buy. I don't know what to do anymore.

Understanding my predecessor

I can see why my predecessor quit after a year. He did more work than me by himself. I was told he often worked 6 days a week. Today I spent 4 hours making a spreasheet for a group cause their invoice was over 200 pages. They had 2 paragraphs of problems the sales team refuse to answer and instead pushed it on me. "Let us know when you fix everything" was the phrase in the email. Excuse me, why can't they answer questions and fix problems. I don't have access to sales contracts to know what the group was told or what rates should be. I'm getting tired of being the sales department's secretary. I even lashed out at my roommate who didn't deserve it and apologized with a hug. I don't want to quit. I love my job itself, some of the coworkers and managers are driving me crazy.

Now roommate is unemployed

Well the security job said he was disqualified from getting a security guard card with them because of his court case so they fired him. Why did they let him work for a week? I came home thinking he was working today, but no he was fired. He was playing video games saying he was high to meet another friend of his sitting on my couch. I get upset he lost his job and can't pay rent or the restitution off. He gets upset I embarrassed him in front of his guest. He unleashes a fury of him trying to find work to help me out and how he cleaned my kitchen today. I reply I am getting tired of carrying him. I finally stopped his ramblings saying I had a bad day, took it out on him, and apologized with a hug. He told me he was fired in front of his friend and upset I got upset in front of friend. What did he really expect? Spent the rest of the night with Bilbo cat in my room since I can't watch TV with roommate playing games on it. He says he will try to get his restaurant job back. Yeah, and he keeps saying the dog is leaving soon and dog is still here. I have no faith in his words anymore.

Work Drama

This General Manager is still learning my job description. He reads a report and questions the double garage rental charge. We are not double charged, one is for June and one is for July. General Manager is outraged there is a June expense on a July report. Probably cause that is when the corporate accounts payable team paid it. I send the corporate office invoices when I recieve them. He tells me I should be more careful entering in the invoices. I had to explain that I don't enter the invoices. I scan them to the corporate website and corporate staff enter the invoices into their system. I have no control over those people.

Another blow

Roommate lost his job at the restaurant cause he got sick over the weekend. I bought an at home Covid test that came up positive. Apparently he called in sick the first day, but not the next 2 days so he was fired for no show and no call for 2 days in a row. He has his security job so he can still connect with the ladies chasing him. One came over Saturday night when he was sick and spent the night. I told him some jobs aren't worth keeping.

No tour today

Well no tour today. Get some message the guy asking for a tour of my city isn't in the country. Asking me to take this conversation to What App in the first reply was a big red flag. I don't have time pen pal or romance scams.

Everyone is at the state fair and I took my feet to the beach to enjoy swimming in the local lake. About a dozen people were there so quite empty beach. Soon it will all be over and school starts, then autumn cools everything down. Have to enjoy the heat while I can.

Met a Presidential Candidate

Ran into Nikki Haley today while I was paying for the wood delivery for our wood grill in the restaurant. I asked if I may shake her hand and she said "Absolutely". She loves our hotel and I wished her a great day. All the presidential candidates are here for the State Fair. My governor is interviewing them all. She seemed like a sweet person nervous being recognized until I asked to shake her hand. I hope she does better in the polls. I don't like the top 2 contenders. Then again, I am not a conservative and can't vote in the primaries or caucauses. I am an independent and intend on staying that way. I might vote for her if she was against Joe Biden, but I dont' like some of her politics like our governor. I do care where they stand on the issues.

Video games

Funny. Roommate received a video console from a friend to play video games on my TV. So I don't get to watch TV anymore cause he is on it all night. Video games are like watching a 3-D cartoon movie. He plays video games all day and night. He was playing a multi-player game on speakerphone when my cat Misty jumped up on the couch. I spoke sweet things to her as I petted her and heard roommate say to his friend on speakerphone, "She's talking to the cat".

He visited his work friends today and came home high with a bottle of rum. I asked if he was sharing the rum. I am used to cocktails so poured some Mountain Dew in with my glass of rum. Not bad. He drinks it straight.

Work Stress

New General Manager is driving me nuts. Interrupts me constantly during my daily reconciliation of 2 computer systems. Today he wanted an answer why there was a negative number on his report. How should I know? I drop what I'm doing, try to comprehend what he is talking about, and gather my brain cells to explain the negative number. I don't know. Wait, the negative number is from something I did yesterday. Oh yeah, I had to take off a bunch of charges cause a group was double charged. And it turns out I did the double charges cause someone put the charges on the wrong receipt so I didn't realize they had been entered already. He wants evidence of my explanation so print out 10 pages of evidence to prove my explanation. Then go back to the reconciliation.

Then I get another interruption telling me to send an invoice to a group who leaves today. Yeah sure, right after I deal with 50 emails, 40 invoices need processing, 6 credit authorization forms for upcoming events, and send 3 invoices to groups who left yesterday. I did send the bill at 4 PM.

Roommate verses women

Picked up roommate from work and he decided to keep his job and squared things away with management. 3 female coworkers are chasing him so can't leave the job. He can't break their hearts. He still talks to his ex and she keeps breaking up/making up with her boytoy and his former friend he no longer speaks to. Boytoy found himself a new flame and she needs to find a new place to live. I guess that means she left the homeless camp when she moved in with him. She wants to come back to live here and roommate assured she is not allowed back here. She burned that bridge cheating on him with his friend and lying to him with others she cheated with.

Hooray! Roommate said he got the mall security job and starts Friday. Manager said he is taking a chance on him and see what happens. He got weed from a coworker and smoked it after work not on the clock so he is high right now. He also announced he "f**ked a b**ch". A coworker with a boyfriend she doesn't like cause he is insecure got together in a crab shack. I think that is a closed restaurant going by the mention of a table they screwed on.

Guests still here

Guess the guy of the drug couple who been here for a week is leaving and gal said she is moving back in with her father, then moving in with her uncle. Roommate mentioned he may have to move back to Texas, but he wants to move to Alaska too.

Roommate said screw the 3rd time cause he didn't have time for it. He think he can pay the restitution off by the end of the month and start paying rent. I thought I could use his rent payment via Cash App for groceries and use my bank money to pay eveyrthing else. I got Paypal and Cash App for my candle business.

I caught the roommate in his underwear. When I picked him up from work last night, he jumped into the shower. After his shower he comes out in his underwear and put on jeans in the middle of the living room. I was on my computer and avoided staring at him that would make him uncomfortable. He said guests are leaving today so he can go back to sleeping on the futon in the basement tonight. He has my basement laundry room made up as a bedroom and loves it. Good riddance, they have been here a week.

Pick him up from work tonight and he has job difficulties. Manager received a complaint from a customer about him and threatened to fire him without receiving his side of the story. He put in his 2 week notice. The security job tested him for drugs so that night when I was having a drink at my old job he was nearby. He came over for a ride home. Former coworkers were happy to see him and I gave him a ride home. Apparently security doesn't care if he was positive for marijuana he smoked last week or on probation for check forgery. But to have a security guard card to be hired, his court case prevents him from being hired. Now the work at home self-employed business owner has yet to offer a job, he just interviewed. He might have to take back the 2 week notice until he finds another job.

Since I can't count on him to find and keep a job, I signed up online to be a tour guide called "a local" to show tourists around my beautiful city. Will see if I get any tours. If they lodge a complaint, there is a money guarentee and I don't get paid. Nice.

Another job

Roommate had an interview yesterday for a mall security job and today he got offered the job. He thinks he will like that better, but will work both jobs for the money. He hates being a host and smiling all day. The drug friends who have been here all week broke up and now roommate worries Ms. Rebound will cozy up to him. He ain't ready for a girlfriend yet, but she is a good friend of his. He thinks he will get a 3rd job. I worked 2 part time jobs for 2 years and it was exhausting.

Broken up couple are back in my house sleeping in my basement futon.

Happy Birthday to Nephew

Nephew had his birthday party at a restaurant around noon so I couldn't come cause I was working. He turns 19 today. Heading to college soon. I will get his card to him later. I haven't even bought a present for him yet.

Roommate is so funny. He criticized me for having receipts around the house when guests are here. Excuse me, I don't call his homeless friends treating my house like a free hotel as guests. They have been here a 4th day and who knows when they are leaving. They sleep all day. How many of his homeless friends have been in this house, and he never complained how awful my house looked in front of his guests. I came home from work to all my doors unlocked and kitchen light on. Checked the camera and roommate left this morning with his backpack (sign of a homeless person is the backpack that students often use).

At work I heard one of the valet drivers disappeared and a guest complained nobody was there to help them. They looked for him everywhere. The valet driver left while on the clock to go to a job interview. Some people amaze me.

General Manager is finishing my training. I should be doing this, but I don't have access. I should be doing that, but I don't know how. I should reconcile everything in the buillding. Do you realize how long that is going to take? And he really needs to stop announcing every day the room revenue is out of balance. That is why I reconcile it to the hotel system figures every morning, cause the corporate system figures are often wrong. Then he is so itchy collecting from accounts receivable. With all the work I have to do, I don't have time to worry about it. He is getting on my nerves.

Grand Opening

Roommate's job had their Grand Opening and drug friends are here for a 3rd night. Apparently they felt my ghosts. Roommate said one is a witch and left salt on the floor with a paper with the Star of David on it. I asked if witch could help me find a husband. He said no cause that is black magic messing with freewill. Okay.

Grand Opening day was slow and managers said he did a great job. He said he put in an application for mall security to work a 2nd job. He thinks he would like that better. Will see what happens.

My job is getting more demanding with the new general manager giving me a Honey Do List every morning on top of everything else I have to do. I feel like a glorified secreatry for all the departments and upper management. I need this report printed. I need this receipt sent out. Do you have paper clips? Customer satisfaction scores are taking a nosedive bcause we had a bunch of kids here disappointed we don't have a pool. I'm sorry, did you not check the hotel amenities before you booked your rooms?

Drug friends are back

Roommate's weed friend is over here again with her boyfriend. He thinks I need to start smoking it. I am not risking losing a job over a failed drug test. Besides, it's illegal for a reason. I have no time for a drug addiction. I have enough problems. Finished Luthien's memorial album on social media. Roommate asked if I am depressed. Let's see. I lost 3 ferrets in less than a year, supporting him, ex girlfriend, and her pets the past 7 months, and on the edge of declaring bankruptcy. You think I might be depressed. He is high as a kite cracking jokes trying to get me to laugh. My ferret just died and he expects me to be happy. Weed friends are spending the night here. I asked what he does in return for this weed and he said he gets it for free. I guess I'm paying for it by them sleeping here since they are homeless, eating my food, and using my water for showers and laundry. Great.

Drug friends stayed here for 2 days now sleeping most of the time in his room then I saw them go out to get fast food. At least they weren't eating mine. They even brought food from a food pantry over too. Roommate eats most of it. Roommate ran out of weed and depressed again. He just wants to be happy again. Yeah, that is how drug addiction starts when avoiding negative emotions. I just lost my 3rd ferret in less than a year. I'm broke and deep in debt plus taking care of him and his pets and his homeless friends. And yet I am not on drugs trying to be happy for a few hours. That's why I have a middle class job. His job has their grand opening tomorrow so he will be getting full paychecks. I hope he pays off his court case restitution and starts paying rent cause I badly need the money.

I am still mourning Luthien. I keep calling the cats ferrets, like I need to feed the ferrets I mean cats. I went to the amusement park with my sister's family to celebrate my brother-in-law's birthday. New ownership changed the park a lot and not necessarily good. Now is cashless so cash office people I used to work with no longer have jobs, prices on everything doubled, no paper maps and digital maps only, have to go through metal detectors at the entrance and bags limited to size like the airport, they replaced several rides with kids rides and new adult rides suck, t-shirts for sale that scream "I'm old", speed tickets to cut in line of rides that cost more than admission, and a pink pig that holds a snack shop was repainted black and white with slices of meat labled on the piggy that was ugly and tacky. I never want to come here again. New ownership ruined this place. My family got mad at me for being an unhappy grouch all day. Excuse me, my ferret died 3 days ago and they expect me to act happy cause my pain and suffering fails to amuse them. I am standing in hell.

RIP Luthien

Roommate's restaurant arcade is having VIP night so go pick him up at scheduled time. Then the corporate people decided to extend the night an extra hour, then roommate had to clean up and have a manager meeting. I was sitting in my car for 2 hours waiting for him to leave work. The distance is 30 minutes one way and didn't want to drive home and then come back again so I waited. Mall is closed so can't go shopping.

We come home and I go pet Luthien ferret asleep on the living room floor to realize she's dead. I screamed and roommate came rushing to pick her up to place her in a box. And I wasn't home when she died. Her mouth was open and she was curled up so I think she died in her sleep. She had lymphoma so I was expected her death for months. We were up until midnight as roommate dug her grave and I placed some plastic flowers to mark the spot. Sang Amazing Grace. I normally put flower petals in their burial shroud but roommate put her in the box before I could do that. I grabbed some tiger lily petals to place on her grave after work today. She is next to her ferret buddies. I skipped my Friday night drink at my old hotel. I drove home without thinking and roommate said it was best I didn't drink alcohol right now.

The Republican Lincoln Dinner is tonight downtown and several guests are at my hotel. Unless I run into them in the lobby making change for the front desk and restaurants, I won't meet them. I work in an office cubicle.

Price of good looks

Roommate says all the female coworkers are checking him out. One announced she is not a good girl. I said it was the price he paid for being so cute. How does he break their hearts? Sure he would sleep with them, but ex girlfriend ruined his spirit to not want another girlfriend in the near future. He asked permission to screw a coworker in his room. I told him to be careful cause if the relationship soured, they still have to work together. Take his time getting to know each other and stay clear of crazy ladies.

Sleep disturbances

Had an interesting night with roommate waking me up 3 times. 1st time he asked if I was in his room taking his things. Besides dirty dishes and garbage, no. I live here, I have plenty of my own things that I don't need to steal his. He is missing a red can with 2 lids. I have no idea what he is talking about. 2nd time he woke me up after tearing his room apart was to ask to view my outdoor camera footage cause he thinks his ex is sneaking into the house. He has a habit of leaving the door unlocked (and I know cause I keep locking it). When he kicked her out, she stole some of his things. I hand him my phone and he adds his phone to the app to view the footage from his phone. I ask what was in the can that was so important. Speed and weed. 3rd time he wake me up around 2 AM to remind me he works in the morning at 8 AM. I have to be at work at 8 AM. So I had to reset my alarm clock. He needs me to wake him up so he can get ready on time. He can't be late or he can get fired. Soon after he sleeps on the couch getting a few hours of sleep. He wakes up 5 minutes before me. We eat breakfast and I go brush my teeth. He announced he ain't working no 12 hour shift with 3 hours of sleep, but thanks me for getting up to take him to work. Actually he doesn't work unti 10 AM, he just wanted to hang aroud the mall. Mall doesn't open until 10 AM so what could he do for 2 hours. But now his coworker he just called will drive him to work and he goes to sleep on the couch. I have time to take my cat Bilbo outside in the cool air before work.

My lectures from roommate are getting interesting. One day I try to explain why I prefer he didn't rip up platic pop bottles or tear labels off cause in this state, we return them for cash. Stores won't take them back without a UPC code or damaged. When we buy the bottles or cans, we pay 5 cents per bottle/can and when return them, we get our money back. He replied, So What you lost a nickel, it's not a big deal. I am broke and need every nickel I can get. Then another day he tells me I spend too much money. I reply that I can stop buying groceries. He says I should get a debit card. I don't want one cause I had friends get their cards cloned and bank accounts emptied. I can't afford that. He suggested putting my paychecks on Cash App and stop using my credit cards. H**l to the no. Website apps can be hacked. I will keep my money in a bank account where my deposits are insured. My Paypal got hacked and credit card used so forgive me if I don't invest much in internet wallets. Then he suggested investing in Bitcoin or stocks through Cash App. F**K no. I am not investing my hard earned money in risky and unpredicatable cryptocurrency that criminals love using. I held back asking why didn't take his Bitcoin and stock investments to pay off his storage unit that is getting auctioned off. I have been depleting my IRAs to survive. I have prepared taxes for people. I know all about investing. I don't have the money. And he hates it when I ignore his advise. Cause it is naive and bad advise.

Friends and Family Night

Roommate took me to Friends and Family Night. I offered my niece and nephew, but they were tired from their jobs and my sister didn't want to spend money if they all went. We had planned to go to the amusement park on Sunday so they wanted to save their money for that. Roommate had 2 tickets that included a meal and a game card so only 1 person would get his extra ticket. We ordered our food and roommate took off to play games. I ate by myself and got his food put in a box. I gave him my game card. He called it a place where kids play games while the parents get drunk. I told him a had good time since I was with him. He replied, I smell bull s***.

RABRAI is in my city tonight. I can hear the music from my patio. Have lots of riders in my hotel.

Miracle

We had a miracle tonight. I got canned cat food for Bilbo and no cat came out. Moved it to the kitchen looking for him and he suddenly jumps on the bed. Roommate who has never petted Bilbo before petted the cat coming out from under the couch thinking it was Misty. He hears me exclaim, "I leave cat food on the bed and cat doesn't come. I move the food to the kitchen and cat jumps on my bed." Roommate realizes he petted Bilbo for the first time. Misty is still under the couch. I put the food back on the bed and moved it to the kitchen when he was finished.

Can't you do this yourself?

Favorite words from a coworker today: I'm so used to (name) setting up our client event accounts and they're gone so I forget to do it myself. I just want to make the sale and move on. Can you set up the accounts for me if I give you the information? Great being a secretary for the sales department.

Trying to find a barber

Today we tried to find a barber to cut my roommate's hair, on Sunday. Most places are closed on Sunday, but it is his day off. Then he got up at 2 PM and several places closed at 3. A couple were open until 5. 1st said in reviews they don't take credit cards and have an ATM at the front desk. He thought it was a hood place and passed on it. 2nd we arrived without an appointment to sit for 30 minutes when my roommate said "Screw it" to leave. I was worried when I saw the ATM they didn't take credit cards (I said I would pay for the haircut). 3rd place was open until 8. But roommate saw on the door "Appointment Only" and it was a female stylist place. So went to the store to buy clippers to cut his own hair, charcoal, lighter fluid, citronella candle, cigarette lighter, dog food, and his work clothes cause they don't provide a uniform. I said I would pay for the clothes and shoes cause he hasn't been paid yet explaining some employers expect employees to buy their own work clothes. Went to another store for boots and sunglasses. He wanted a hat too, but not enough on my card. I said if he pays me rent then all the other stuff will be considered paid off by him.

Then we came home and he cut his own hair (I helped around the ears and neck). I never used clippers before. Then he got out my chainsaw to cut a tree branch touching the ground. Next he mowed the backyard. I mowed the front yard. And finally started cooking chicken on my grill.

Matter of perception

Funny, yesterday roommate complained there's no food in the house and then cooks rice, taco meat, and then makes microwave popcorn. Yeah, I told him no grocery shopping until I get my next paycheck cause I'm overdrawn. So if I make a payment on my credit card to buy something to have the bank charge an overdraft fee, it will be something I really need. If you wondered, my cart full of food today cost $238. We have food for a while or until roommate eats it all.

I brought 4 canvas bags to the grocery store since I don't need more platic bags. The bagger scrunched up the canvas bags and put them in a plastic bag. Weirdo.

Questions

Roommate started his restaurant host training the past few days. Been driving him back and forth, even leaving work early to get him there. He is never ready to go. Last night he woke me up cause dog needed the vet at 2 AM. I answered but too tired to get up and fell back asleep. In the morning, I asked what the problem was. Dog was hacking and he thought something was caught in her throat. He gave her some water and she was okay. I wonder if I had taken her to the vet at 2 AM, who's paying the vet bill? I already bought dog food cause ex girlfriend is gone and nobody is coming to pick up this dog. But I can't get rid of it either cause owner is in jail. Today he got a ride from a coworker, but I had to pick him up cause he suddenly became sick.

We have celebrities in my hotel this weekend to appear at a car race. I know staff is excited.

Hectic 1st Day

Roommate was supposed to have his first day at work today. I got ready extra early to drive him over before work. As time came to go I knocked on his door to see if he was ready yet. He was in bed and upset his alarm didn't go off. His phone was on silent. Threw himself together not in dress code, but hopefully they will provide a uniform. Speed over there 4 minutes late and the building is still under construction. Drop him off to head to work. He calls to come pick him up cause they changed the time from 7AM to 5 PM so I have to leave work early to drive him over. Then pick him up at 11 PM cause buses don't run that late. Sigh.

Happy Birthday to Mom

Celebrated my Mom's birthday at sister's place. My family met my rommmate at last. He was very polite and started playing chess on his phone. My niece thought he was cute. I warned her that she wouldn't like him. He said later he could sense a lot of tension and my family struggled to find things to talk about. Yeah, that's my family.

More interviews

Took roommate to an interview at a new arcade bar opening at the end of the month. Someone came outside to offer me an application and turned it down saying I love my job (no way I am giving it up to be a waitress). They hired him on the spot and did the onboarding while I waited in the car. Finally came out around hour later. Tomorrow I take him to another job interview at another restaurant. He wants to work 2-3 jobs to get his restitution paid off and start helping me pay my bills.

Had a run in with a guest who said I couldn't park in the valet parking area of the garage. I explained I was an employee and this is the employee lot too. But thank you. Oh, he didn't want me to get my car towed. Told him to have a good day.

Today is my Mom's 84th Birthday. Will celebrate at my sister' house later tomorrow. I invited my roommate to meet my family.

I lost my possible home equity loan. Lady sent an application for the full amount of my credit card balances to be paid over the next 30 years. At least it will lower my monthly payments. Problem is that they have to pay the credit cards directly. I am under credit counseling so the credit counsleor needs the check to pay the credit cards or it goes to me to pay them. Oh, they don't do that. Loan is canceled cause my debt to income ratio is too high for the amount of the cards not under credit counseling.

Forgiveness in the wind

Roommate's father called him. They talked about his probation and struggles to find a job. Doesn't help I work days M-F so can't take him to an interview at the drop of a hat. Wish he could find a job near my home, but he has to take what he can get. Not having a driver's license really hurts his job prospects.

I had fun at work. Had 2 groups now where the room reservations were not set up correctly. 1 group complained we charged rooms to the group when individuals should had paid them. So we had to eat $4000 of room and restaurant charges cause we didn't have a credit card to charge the individuals. 2nd group wanted rooms charged to the group so I had to change 40 room charges and refund 40 credit cards. Sales people need to get things I writing how it is to be done.

Therapy Session

Had an interesting therapy session with roommate. Asked about his day and he got rejected from an electrical apprenticeship because he doesn't have a driver's license. He read a text message he sent his father. He was feeling guilty how badly he treated his family. He wiped away tears reading this to me. He was adopted young so believed his real parents abandoned him so he pushed his adoptive family away thinking they would just reject and abandon him too (which eventually they did). After high school (at a reform school/mental hospital), he met wonderful people who turned out manipulative and discarded him. He met an angel (ex girlfriend) who made him happy and saved his life. And who he thought he could change, but she didn't change and just used him to toss him away. He still keeps a picture of her son and asked if I had a picture frame for it. He always got defensive when I mentioned she was using him and me telling me all the terrible things she had to endure in her life. He knows he screwed up his life and trying real hard to fix it. I told him he was growing up. He rambled on about trying to help his friends with their problems, but who is helping him? His ex girlfriend helped him, but kept pushing him away until he gave up. He is very grateful I gave him a place to stay. He is refocusing on helping me since I have done so much for him. Will see if he can land a job.

New staff

Getting to know the new sales director and new general mananger. Director of Operations is leaving next month and interviewing for the position. General Manager wants a meeting every morning. Great. If I am done reconciling 2 computer systems then I will attend. They are calling back the coworker I haven't met on maternity leave to come back early. Supposed to return next month.

Interesting conversation

Had an interesting conversation with roommate. Screw friend that took the heart of his ex girlfriend threw her out. She is now crawling back to roommate and wants to come back here. He assures me that is not happening. That bridge is burnt. Apparently he still text messages her. He says he likes to screw with her head. She is using his cell phone that he got from the government and begs him not to report it stolen cause her phone is broken. Their storage unit is about to be auctioned off. He told me he had an interview and court today. Court turned out a different day and he moved the interview to Friday after I get off work. Said he got $20 from a survey. He will buy a cigarettes and invest the rest in Bitcoin.

On social media I made a comment on a celebrity page. Get several guys wanting to be my friend. One person from India actually asked me for money. Sorry I am broke. Another wanted me to like a page to private message said celebrity. I'm not falling for that scam. Please take you romance scams someplace else cause they are not working over here.

High as a kite

Another friend of the roommate is over here. This one brought her boyfriend with her. Roommate says they want to be friends with me but terrified of me. Apparently I scare all his friends. I am familiar with this friend. Everytime she comes over roommate gets bloodshot eyes and goofy, happy mood for hours, then sleeps all day. Marijuana. Roommate stood in front of me telling me how proud he is that his gal friend has given up the needle (heroin) and such a good person. She has 2 kids she lost custody of and trying to get to get them back. He let slip that he ex girlfriend he tossed out likes meth and marijuana. And ex girfriend has a job as a security guard. He tells me this with bloodshot eyes so apparently Miss Thing hasn't given up all drugs if they are high as a kite.

2 days later I come home and he announced he has an interview on Monday. He also found a couple food items I tried to hide from him before he had a chance to eat them leaving me with none of it. I told him I might have put them there trying to find space (I was putting the groceries away I just bought and he wasn't helping me). He replied I didn't put things in that cupboard he found them in so he was convinced it was his ex girlfriend who was hiding stuff to take to the homeless camp. I wasn't going to argue about it. 2 can play this game.

Then the day after he tells me he can't make the interview on Monday cause it interferes with court. Any bets there wasn't an interview on Monday.

I enjoyed my best time on the 2 mile lake trail, 40 minutes. I haven't been walking for 2 weeks getting over from a cold and congestion. I started slow and half way through trail I picked up the pace. No stiff muscles and never stopped to stretch.

With a higher credit score from the credit counseling, I try for a loan to lower the interest rate to pay off the other cards not in credit counseling. Big mistake. Got 200 emails, 40 text messages, and 14 phone calls offering loans. How many are legit, who knows? I hope these loan applications don't steal my indentity or get bank account emptied. I got an offer for a car title loan that charged more interest than my credit cards. Shame on me trying to pay back money. I tried for a home equity loan but they don't do tiny amounts so had to go the personal loan route.

Hectic work day

I keep getting phone calls from people and have no idea how to help them. Sorry you need the sales department to discuss your event contract. Sorry you need accounts payable to receive a check for your inovice. Sorry I can't take care of your purchase order problem cause I don't have access to the business creidt card. I scan invoices, print receipts, and make change. I have limited powers in my cubicle.

I need to buy new shoes. Mine 10+ years old shoes are falling apart on the outside. People tell me what nice clothes I have. Yeah, I worked for Kohl's over 12 years ago and got a lot of great deals on clothes and shoes. I think I need new clothes too. Some of mine are getting holes.

Misty cat is letting the rommate pet her which is something Bilbo cat still won't let happen. Luthien ferret is blind and wonders around the house to ignore him. He loves my ferret more than the visitor cat or dog.

Happy 4th of July

I love my new job. I get holidays off. As a salary person, if I work a holiday then I get a floating holiday. Nice. I watched a parade with my brother and sister with their families. Saw Mike Pence in the parade. The TV camera came by so my niece might be on TV tonight. Sister-in-law has an infection so didn't want to spend the rest of the day with us. Enjoyed lunch and dinner at sister's house. We played badminton in the backyard. We got back with our brother for the fireworks. It was a good day.

Meet another friend of the roommate

Met another friend of my roomate. This one he met while working as a security guard at my hotel walking the grounds. Guy lives with his mother so not another homeless person using my shower, my laundry room, and eating my food. And the guy is gay. I told my roommate I will try not to throw myself at him. Seemed like a nice guy. We talked about my poor sick ferret Luthien. He spent the night in roommate's room. I think after hanging around me, roommate is starting to let the bad friends who are just using him go. He says he is tired of helping people who hurt him in return.

With rommate down in the basement now, my cat Misty is starting to come out from hiding under the couch. She still poops in a corner by the end table. I put her food under the end table too.

I can't take this anymore

I go out grocery shopping. I message roommate asking if he wants anything. Candy and cereal bars. So in the middle of my shopping, I get a message how roommate and ex girlfriend had a fight (I guess her stuff is still in my house) whereas, my rommate punched a hole in my hollow basement door. I come home and inspect the damage. Fist-sized hole in my door and roommate shows the cuts on his hand. I told him the door will stay as is cause I have no money to replace it. Then he says ex told her new boy toy that rommate put a knife to her throat and he makes death threats. Roommate calls the cops on the death threats. He said he will fix my door. With no money, no job, can't pay storage unit, and has to pay resitution, How is He Going to Buy Me a New Door. He decides he likes my basement futon and set up a bedroom in the laundry room.

Next day after work, I stop at my old job to chat with work friends. I need a margarita to keep from murdering my roommate. I messaged him that it may be the alcohol talking, but I can't take this anymore. I was tired of him being in my house. The drama, my sky high water bill, the pets who never leave and my Bilbo keeps attacking and Misty hides under the couch, me pulling money out of my retirement account to survive and feed everybody, and now a hole in my door he is never replacing without a job. I can't take this anymore, he need to start paying rent or leave. 6 months was plenty of time to get back on his feet. I bought him a tent. I gave him until the end of July. Naturally, he freaked and said he would out in the morning. My heart was broken. This is what I get for being nice to people.

Once I got home, we discussed it. His received his sentenced on the day I drove him to court. 1 year probation, 6 months is he pays resitution for the check forgery. Kicking him out now was the worst thing I could do to him cause he needs an address for his probation. Actually I wasn't kicking him out now, I said start paying rent or leave. So we agreed he could stay through his probation and he starts paying rent. I said I could keep the tent and take out my niece and nephew camping one day, roommate could come too. They both work and his age.

Why me?

Well guess who is back. Ex girlfriend and the friend she screwed. They brought my roommate fast food, none for me of course. Then got to work on laundry and showers. I could hear the dryer still going at 2 AM. Then two days later they are kicked out again. Now roommate is hanging out with ex girlfriend's ex tonight.

Trying to help

I ordered a tent online. If roommate wants to live among the homeless cause that is where he feels among friends, then I need to let go and let him leave. He has a cold right now so not kicking him out right this second. I told him about my purchase. I said I prayed how to help him to back onto his feet. I had an Epiphany. I am being selfish not pushing him to get a job, not demanding he help around the house, and not really wanting him to leave. He leaves and I go back to being alone with 2 cats and a ferret. I finished by saying I need to let him go.

He reponded by saying he could sell it and invest the profits in Bitcoin. I point out how I paid for it and he should split the profits. He din't really answer. He is not liking his friends, especially his ex girlfriend right now.

Happy Weekend

Improving my walk times around the lake park trail. 1st time I timed I walked I did it in an hour while stopping to take photos. 2nd I timed it I did it in 50 minutes. Next time I timed it I made it in 45 minutes. It's a 2 mile walk. I was so happy I stopped by my old job bar yesterday and had a rum punch to celebrate my muscles toning.

Today I took out the garbage using plastic grocery bags I keep in a cupboard. Next time I opened the cupboard, Bilbo cat was inside. Silly cat. Other things I did today were changing the sheets, doing the laundry, and grocery shopping.

Ex girlfriend returned with the friend who thinks I'm attractive. Roommate said they looked like zombies. He fed them and let them sleep in his room while he slept the couch. He likes my couch better for his bad back. So I am in the kitchen when ex girlfriend gets into the shower. I thought she was singing, but then realized she was crying. I heard them fight over her not having clean clothes left in the house and roommate keeps washing clean items cause they have dog hair on them, which is why my water bill is sky high. Now roommate feels guilty the way he threw them out and doesn't want to talk about it. OK.

Go to laundry room and ex girlfriend is there. Her son's great-grandma died and she was close to her so she is in mourning. I hugged her and gave her my condolences. I can be nice to people I can't stand. I've been in customer services for years.

People seem surprised I love my new job. All I do is sit at a desk and do paperwork. Well, it's a lot better than fetching towels for guests or hearing them complain their A/C is broken.

Had excitement when the visitor dog Ivory was casually laying on an ottoman beside me. My Misty cat whose been living under the sofa came out swiping with a growl and nearly hit me. I strained a muscle in my foot trying to avoid getting scrached. Ivory jumped and I placed a pillow between them. Pet both animals to calm them. No damage to the dog, poor thing.

I splurged on new rainbow colored plastic plates. My old plates are scratched up and looking for new ones in the stores, I never find anything I like. I finally found some I liked and bought them right away. I didn't even care they said Pride on the sticker. No, I am not gay, but I have known many coworkers who are. Even my trainer is too.

Went to the lake park beach and enjoyed myself. Worked on my tan and did some swimming. Did my 2nd night as night auditor and worked Saturday. Next week I work my regular schedule.

Roommate called his father and had a good conversation. Relayed his blessings and troubles and his father advised to work on himself and the girl you need will come. His friend just took away his problem. Roommate laughed at that last part.

Happy Father's Day. I visited mine at the cemetery. I leave a rose with black ribbon then play Taps on my smartphone above his grave. He used to be in the Air National Guard.

I don't believe this

I don't believe this. Roommate finally kicked out the train wreck ex girlfriend and the very next day asked me to play hostess to her and her son cause her 16-year-old son is visiting his mother for 3 weeks. He can't be around her so he will go stay in the homeless camp. And got angry when I said no. I'm not a social worker nor free hotel for his homeless friends. I replied, You just kicked her out and expect me to take her back in and take care of her son eating my food and increasing my water bill with laundry and showers. Hell to the no. He fails to understand my caring for HIM doesn't extend to everybody he knows no matter how much he cares about them.

My work friend brought over some kibble for the dog. Roommate fed dog a can of tuna before she arrived. Hopefully ex girlfriend's mother takes this dog in next week. She's flaky like her daughter.

Now I'm mad

OK, now I am PO'ed. Return from night audit work and roommate left for the homeless camp. After waking up, dog in living room knocked over the gate so locked her in roommate's room with the cat after letting her out to pee. Tonight I go to change the water bowls and replenish the food. Let the dog to pee. I fed the ex girlfriend's cat the last of her food and can't find any dog food anywhere. I invaded my roommate's privacy to look for dog food. When ex girlfriend grabbed her tossed out stuff, she had brought back the dog. I gather the spilled kibble on the dog kennel floor for her and refill the water. I end up giving the dog my chicken and noodles that I had made today for myself cause there is no food for this dog. I checked online for vegetables and give a can of green beans when chicken and noodles was ate up. Dog doesn't like green beans so fed to rabbits outside. When the cat food ran out, the cat would eat my cats' kibble and canned food. I'm broke and now have to feed these animals too. I have the weekend to get caught up, What am I going to feed this dog? A friend from work said they would bring over some dog food. Thank goodness.

Nobody told me there would be days like this

Ex girlfriend arrived with 2 guys. There were busy cleaning the basement for me for all the help I had given them. Yeah, sure. They left with the dog and roommate will be spending the night with them in the homeless camp. Cats get a dog free evening.

Next day, roommate has a panic attack. Returned from the homeless camp to find mail for him. It is an arrest warrant cause he missed court. He asked when it arrived and I answered I grabbed it from the mailbox after he left the night before. He called his lawyer who didn't answer so left a message. He called his father who calms him down having him read the warrant to him. Eventually the lawyer calls back stating it was for someone with his first and last name, but different middle name. Court clerk sent it to the wrong address. Roommate's court date is next week.

Roommate and ex girlfriend must have had a hell of a fight at the homeless camp cause he is tossing her stuff outside again. Front porch this time. He also said one of his friends wanted to move into my basement, the day after I met him and he said he wanted to be friends. He gave me his number, which I never called and then find out THAT was the friend who screwed is now ex girlfriend. I said no. I explained I knew my roommate for months before offering to stay at my place and trust him. I don't trust his friends cause I don't know them. And no, I don't trust my roommate's judgment of charater. Had another one of his friends write me a note saying he thinks I'm attractive and wrote down his number on a piece of paper if case I need company. I never called him and tossed the note away.

Ex girlfriend picked up her stuff towards the end of the day. Roommate wouldn't let her or the 2 guys she brought into the house. I stayed out of it and watched a movie with my dinner.

Oh boy, what now?

Roommate received a phone call from girlfriend's mother asking if her daughter was living in a homeless camp. Roommate replied he doesn't know where she is when not here. Actually he told me she was living in a homeless camp to create an emergency situation to get into public housing. She is on the list for Section 8. So they had another fight and and he again says it's over between them. He did some contract work with now ex's old boyfriend and hopes to get paid soon. He says he is going to buy a tent and moving on with his life. Will see what actually happens. It's ridiculous how many times keep breaking up and getting back together.

Ex Girlfriend shows up at dinnertime to take a shower, change her clothes, and do her laundry. She said she had her own tent in the homeless camp and city wants them to move because of baby owls in the area so land is protected. Next thing I know, he announced to me that she screwed his friend and he was not forgiving them. He was always worried she would cheat on him cause as he explained, That's how she gets rid of boyfriends. She left about 1 AM.

He called someone to find out where this homeless camp was located to drop off her stuff and get a ride to it. He has stuff in their storage unit, but the fee is late again so he has to pay it to get his stuff out. He says he is taking his pending tent purchase to ex's camp cause that is where he feels among friends. Later in the evening he is back with the ex girlfriend. Yes, they are broken up, but he still cares about her. He has red eyes so I know he is on a drug, probably got it in the homeless camp.

New job

Had a short first day. The training manager called in sick so received the tour and introductions. Came home 2 hours later. But I receive a salary so hours don't matter. Going to help with night audit for 2 days. The accounting manager is in Chicago working several hotels so mostly get to know them via email and phone calls. I was offered and accepted the position of Accounting Clerk, but being introduced as the Accounting Manager. Tha would explain my salary instead of hourly wage. My 1st salary job.

Next day got to work with training. A lot of reconciliation and data entry. Then get cash for people and make bank deposits. Typical accounting job. Friday night stopped at my old for a drink at the bar. Gave the new job updates.

Saturday came into work to code invoices and apparently this trainer got behind on things so we are catching up. He said he will scan the invoices on Sunday since we worked 4 hours coding them.

He said on Sunday he scanned the invocies for 4 hours before he got done. Poor guy. He is an Operations Supervisor who stepped into this role when the last Financial Director left. He started at the front desk and helps with guests when we stop by asking if they need change. I told him their night audit was an interesting experience. Valet parking so had to enter those charges, breakfast is paid by guests so no homeless sneaking in for free food, no pool so less kids running around unsupervised causing trouble, and audit was done differently but largely the same. I like my new hotel.

Averted a cat fight. Been putting canned cat food in the bedroom for Bilbo, but tonight there were ants so had to find another spot. Well the visitor cat Lily found the new spot and Bilbo caught her eating his leftovers. I removed the food from Lily and moved it so Bilbo could eat it. Then they growled at each other while I ate a popicle. Then removed Lily to another room to end the stare down. If you wondered, visitor dog Ivory has eaten the dry cat food in bedroom (tonight covered in ants) one night and Bilbo freaked out, hit the bed skirt, and spooked the dog out of the bedroom. Had to lock Ivory in living room cause it was feeding time whereas Bilbo follows me waiting for me to give him the canned food.

Celebrated my brother's birthday after work with cake and ice cream. Everybody was eager to hear about my new job.

End of stress

Took roommate to court and now he is saying he has resitution to pay or go to jail so trial/plea deal is done. Apparently one of his homeless friends thinks I'm attractive. I am not dating a homeless man. If that make me a snobby bitch then I am a snobby bitch. Started my new job and I am so happy to sit at a desk all day and not have to deal with complaints about the A/C not working or get towels for people. I accepted a job titled Accounting Clerk and was introduced as Accounting Manager. I get a salary so no complaints here. I hope I am worthy of the post.

Drama never stops

My poor babies. Came inside from sunbathing to have visitor pets follow me to my room where Bilbo cat and Luthien ferret were napping. Misty is under sofa in living room. Well they jump on the bed which set off Bilbo to hiss. He jumps down to find Luthien to hiss at her. Get help removing the visitor pets out of my room. Pet Bilbo and pick up a shaking Luthien wondering what she just woke up to. All is good now.

So now I have stopped looking for a new job and one less stressor off my shoulders. I reopend 1 of my webistes that has free subscription option. They charge me $16 a month for marketing fees (coupons, email messages to customers, and sale ads). I noticed some people don't like soy wax candles so gave a beeswax option too. I don't want use paraffin wax cause that's from oil and want environmentally friendly candles. There are also apricot, palm, and coconut waxes too. I also thought of opening a separate page for my candle business or maybe even a cat page since my ferret page has only has 80 followers. Decide later.

Went out sunbathing again and cats had a screaming contest and had to be separated by my roommate.

Coworker at old job took me out to celebrate my new job. I got drunk and coworker drove me home. Which means I had to take a Lyft to get my car back. Roommate and girlfriend were amused at my stumbling around. I rarely drink and 2 margaritas plus a cherry Jolly Rancher shot made me drunk. I told my roommate I was so drunk he could ask me anything and get an honest answer. He laughed. Girlfriend was very motherly when I tried to make popcorn on the stove. I noticed a new friend they had over I never met before.

Tonight was the last night at the old job. Gave lots of hugs and promised to stop by once in a while.
