Let's see where do I start. Uh, put the cats on leashes, spent most of the time in the cool stairwell, carried them back, and they meow at the door. Come in to work and need to call the manager. She says they are now cutting back on hours, stopped the extra dollar per hour on weekends and after 10 PM, and in 8 to 12 months we will be a corporate location. They already cut a half hour from my schedule when I starting closing for a coworker, how much more are they going to cut? So the way I figure, I need to cut $90 off my monthly budget (taking off for taxes). Where shall I start? A) toss the cell phone B) cancel internet C) end landline service and just use cell D) end 401K contributions E) all of the above. Getting rid of cat is not an option.
I am trying to stop all fast food eating, unplug things that don't need resetting, limiting 1 hour of computer time at a time, cut back on the heat from this nice weather, use microwave more often and stove less, don't go anywhere unless I have to, try to grocery shop after work instead of day off to save on gas, get grocery strore brands whenever possible, not read before bed (or limit it to an hour), read during daytime instead of TV, so I don't know what more I can cut back on.
And to top my bad day off I'm scraping for cars to meet reservations. Oh yeah, a guy calls up wanting to know when we close. I recite our closing time and the fact we wait for delayed flights. I ask his flight and name. He replies, It's a long story. Now instead of being delayed, he was diverted to Omaha and will be bussed in. His flight to Omaha will arrive at midnight and will arrive in Des Moines at 1:30 AM. I can't exactly wait for a bus, just a flight. He wants a 24 hr car rental. None at this airport. How about outside the airport? They all close before we do. Here's the thing. There are no diverted flights and no announcements of anyone being bussed here, all flights from all 4 directions are landing. I think he missed his connection and Omaha was the closest he could get. Sorry, I'm not waiting all night for him to show up, especially w/out any name or flight to wait for. Anyway, I have 10 minutes left of my hour so I'll just say Post later. Bye!

Ain't misbahavin
Ain't misbehavin, I'm saving my love for you. I'm sure my cats singing that song when they were outside for 7 hrs. and 15 min. Wandered in the woods behind the garages and Precious managed not to jump the fence. Precious came when called. Went into the bushes to find my baby Frodo with Precious helping. Slid and fell 5 times getting him back to the garages. Then he takes off again into the bush. Tried to pick him up and off he went. 2 hours later, I have to get going to my sister's house. Still Frodo and Precious won't come inside. Bye!
Getting dark as I came back and found Precious under the cars. He ran inside, but when called for Frodo he wanted back out. Got the fishing pole and hear a Frodo squeak. He is nearby. Finally he appears, sneaks across the dog staring at them from his glass door. Precious wants to lie down on the sidewalk. Pick him up twice and force him in the door. Frodo runs up chasing the fishing pole with Precious shortly behind. 15 minutes later Precious is at the door mewoing to go out. He will have to make do with the balcony. Leashes and harness will on tomorrow. Post later. Bye!

Good day
We had more pleasant day today so kitties went outside. It is darker with the clouds, but no rain fell on our heads. It took 25 minutes to get the cats inside. Frodo responded to my call and did come when I got the fishing pole. Precious looked for him too and came after I got Frodo inside. No leashes tomorrow. They responded and came so the time frame is forgiven. We stirred up the dog next door and soon the apartments dogs were barking like crazy. It almost reminded me of 101 Dalmatians barking chorus. Nothing else happened today. I'm sorry I'm so boring. Post later. Bye!

No walk today
Took cats outside without their harnesses and leashes. They wanted to go back to the apartment after 2 minutes. I'm guessing it was the wind or dogs that encouraged them back inside. They didn't even go out on the balcony until 7 PM.
I went grocery shopping today and realized halfway through the store I forgot the canvas bags I bought to save the earth from plastic bags. Bad me.
Post later. Bye!

Refering to the prior posting about pets being victims of domestic violence, I emailed the local animal shelter who I know lobby for animal rights. They answered that they met opposition this year in the House of Representatives so the measure did not get passed. They suggested writing to my representative to encourage it passes next time. They must be bad lobbyists cause casinos and NRA get their way all the time. Even with public outcry animals scheduled to be killed get killed anyway, like the geese in a local park a few years ago or beavers along the river before that. I fail to see the point of writing, the guy would of course say wants pet protection when he probably already voted against it. You know professional politicians tell you what you wish to hear. Anyway, post later. Bye!
Slow day
Called Mom to wish her a Happy Mother's Day. Apparently Dad picked some red tulips in the garden for her. I think they were my xmas gift to Grandma one year. She also made him get a heart test as a make sure everything is fine before quatruple bypass surgery is required gesture. With his high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, extra weight, and never exercised body of his, his heart is not going to be in the best condition. Doctor spoke in foreign terms which translates to, This is not good. She guessed hearing it from a doctor was more of a wake up call rather than Mom nagging he doesn't need all those cookies and ice cream scoops. Mom has learned to be sneaky with fixing Dad's unhealthy habits. Good for her.
Spent my work day reading my Oprah Magazine. Come join in the Beauty Revolution by accepting ourselves as is and not to live by other people's standards was this month's theme. Then right smack in the center of this Beauty Revolution was a piece rallying for change is legislation to protect pets from domestic violence. Pets of abused wives and girlfriends are being shot, strangled, drowned, body parts glued, kicked, set on fire, and run over by cars in the abuser's quest to control their women. I recall reading a item on msn.com about a guy dropped a month old puppy off their balcony during a fight, because the girlfriend loved the puppy. Survey of women's shelters declared many delayed leaving their men because shelters won't allow pets and they knew their pets would be dead if left alone with the man. Legislation needs changing because if a woman is unwilling to press charges, a dead pet will not recant its story.
I thought it strange to put a protect our fellow animals in the center of a Beauty Revolution. After thinking about it, perhaps it is there because animals don't care what we look like and we get that unconditional love so few humans are capable of. Animals judge us by our behavior. When we are good to them they love us even after a vet visit, but when we cause pain and instill fear of pain that animals protect themselves by running away and hiding (when they can't escape the claws and teeth come out). If you think dogs are naturally agressive, I will have you know a couple dogs here have backed away from my cats scratching the air. Later, I realized it might be there because once we care about things outside ourselves, superficial ideas we once obssessed over seem rather frivolous. Or both ideas could be right.
Anyway, if any of you wish to join the humane society's lobbyists to protect pets from domestic violence here are some websites. Humane Society of the United States at hsus.org, American Humane Association at americanhumane.org, and ASPCA at aspc.org. I plan to ask my state's humane society if they are lobbying for pet protection and aiding battered women to take care of their pets. Post later. Bye!

Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. Hope you are having a good day with your feet up and a box of chocolates in your hands watching TV while other people do the dishes. Post later. Bye!
Here kitty kitty
Precious and Frodo were good cats today. Chased Frodo around, but he held still while I snapped on the harness. He wiggled as I adusted it, it is uncomfortable no matter how I situate it. Then Frodo and Precious went out on the balcony all crouched down as if hiding. Precious came out and we walked around on the grass for 10 minutes and I ran upstairs to see if Frodo would come down now. He needed reassurance in the form of petting and then came downstairs. First half hour went well with the kitties mostly lying on the grass. Dog came out to pee, and the owner directed it away from my cats. One concern I have about the leashes is that if a dog charges at them, it will be a difficult for them to rush up the tree like lightening and balance on the branch with the leash hanging on them. On the ground, it does slow their pace. Anyway, often one cat would wander while the other remained still. 2nd half hour, Precious kept bolting to the dumpter and I hung on. Then a man came out and shouted to his woman in the window. Precious went up to the man and waited for a petting. He didn't so Precious came to me for petting . Precious tries so hard to get strangers' attentions but very few will have anything to do with him. To end the story, Precious came inside so I took off the leash and waited around with Frodo to finish their time outside. Frodo had to carried in and then a dog comes out of our door. Waited for then to leave before entering and unleash Frodo. When we got to the apartment I snapped off the harnesses.
No crazy people at work, besides the ones I work with. When outside to get mileage on a van cause it was given in kilometers. I hit a bunch of buttons, got out the owner's manual in the glove compartment, and it just said the odometer reads in miles and kilometers. Nothing about how to switch it back and forth. So went back inside to find a lady waiting to rent her car. Asked 2 guys if they knew much about cars to help me figure this out. First guy said his car doesn't even have a remote so he can't help me. OK. 2nd guy wasn't sure unless he saw it so bring him to the car to observe the control panels. He pokes around hitting this, that, there, and viola! the mileage is changed to miles. I would have never figured out that 3 button sequence on my own.
Had a lady from Germany whose debit card didn't go through to go along with her prepaid rental voucher. Call the 800 number and I end up on the phone hitting 0 hoping to get a live person (automation system was not going to answer why her card is declining). It is a child support bank account and new rules state it can't be used for a car rental. She is shocked she can use it anywhere, except a car rental. I tell her that, Yes they should notify you of rule changes. So I let her use my phone to call her American relatives for their credit card. I just need to swipe it for 0.00 to give her the car and additional drivers cost nothing with her voucher (I checked and pointed on her voucher where it says that). So her family shows up and rent them the car. While renting to them, lady comes up and I say I will be right with her as she stands next to the customers. She sits down on the benches. She comes right back when another lady come up, standing beside the customers instead of behind as usual. When finished, I address the 1st lady and the 2nd lady claims she was here first. I interrupt declaring the other lady I know was here first. Help 1st lady, then 2nd lady, and back to inventorying the car keys.
I read the stamp is changing price again on Monday. Didn't it just go up 3 cents in January, or February. I tried to buy forever stamps at the post office today at their machine, it it only does stamps with a price on it. Anyway, this is long enough. Post later. Bye!

Today's events
Let's see, there is just so much happening I barely know where to begin. Ok, that's a lie but it is a good beginning for a posting.
Kitties meowed to be let out, ran when I grabbed the harnesses, so we stayed inside again. Well, actually Precious stayed on the bed while I chased Frodo all over the place. No complaints here.
Went over to renew my lease. The doors are locked. I wonder if the handle is broken and peek in the window. Lights are on. I have an appointment to renew it at this time so they should be here. Guy walks by and I asked if the office is supposed to be locked up. He runs away and gets his key to the gym in the same building. I try to follow him in and he states he doesn't work here, just impatient with office locked. I just wanted to get to the connecting door between the office and the gym. That's locked too. Ok, I said, I guess they don't want me to renew my lease and back up the car to leave. Then a familiar office face comes with a guy so I assume she was showing an apartment and was by herself. She apologizes. Get my lease renewed. Explain I have enough ceiling fans, light fixtures, and did the carpet shampooing last year but it didn't go well with the cat hair. So she gives me a book of gifts for their gratitude of renewing. I liked the digital camera, but will see how many pixels it is before ordering it through a website.
Then on to Walmart to pick up Memorial Day flowers and some Sun In hair lightener since my roots are really coming out (I get lazy in the wintertime). I walk to the hair dye department where is usually is located and couldn't find it in the mass of 100 boxes taking up 3/4 of the aisle. Find a lady ripping open boxes and putting merchandise away. I ask if she knew where is was, maybe they moved it, who knows. She didn't know what I was talking about. Sun In, it's a hair lightener. Eyeliner?, she asks. No, hair lightener called Sun In. She walks away from me. While I'm staring at the shelves of hair dye she tells a lady her item is 3 aisles down in that direction (pointing). Minute later, I finally find it and walk by and tell the clerk I found it (no thanks to her) holding it in my hand since she didn't know what I was talking about. She replies, Good for you. I was so shocked I didn't know how to feel (I usually get impeccable service at this store). Got my flowers and met a clerk asking if I was finding everything alright. Oh yes. When I showed up to work I had to ask a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th opinion if I was being overly sensitive about that lady's rudeness. No, I'm not overly sensitive. I was very angry when the shock wore off. I looked up the number on the receipt and called the store asking for a manager in the most calm manner I could muster (if you are going to complain do it with the right people and do it in the right tone). I got an apology and he said he will make sure this doesn't happen again. Sorry I didn't get her name cause her back was towards me.
And finally, had a guy with a reservation with another company but they are closed on his cell phone shouting at the customer service people cause he had a free day on that reservation and asking me for a car at the same time. He said even said, Sorry I don't mean to take it out on you. I sympathsized with his plight, saying he should be angry if he was told they would wait for his flight and didn't. I also said I will gladly tell that closer I stole his customer and give the customer's name to him. What can I say, I love stealing customers. He laughed and thanked me for my help.
Post later. Bye!
Battle of Wills
Put on the harnesses of very eager to go outside cats and again chased Frodo all over. Then they decided to hide in the bedroom. Precious did come out ino the hall and then back to the bedroom. I had my coat on calling them to come outside for our walk. Frodo walked funny with his front legs stiff, the harness sits right behind their elbows. Precious sat by the window. I attempted again to get them outside but they prostested the harnesses and refused to come outside with them on. Fine, we will just stay inside and took off the harnesses. They wondered about the balcony and windows. Played with Frodo in the living room. Frodo kept going to the door ready to go outside but then I grabbed the harness and he ran away. I think a battle of wills has begun. They want to roam free and explore while I want them close by and come when I call them. Post later. Bye!

What a day
Let's see. Got up and took kitties outside. I thought my plan of leashes might backfire because if I leash them and then set them loose, the freedom might go their head and they would disapppear. Yesterday I had them on leashes from their Monday excursion causing me to miss Tom Cruise. Frodo walked funny, but I checked the harness was where it was suppose to be, it was. They got spooked by a man walking by and later a man bringing out dogs, thus ripping the leash from my hand. This time they had the leash slowing them down. So tried them w/out leash today to see how they do this time. First half hour they behaved, staying close by. Second half hour was another story. Frodo chased Precious who went behind the dumpster where the wooded slope is. I guarded the brush pile spraying my spray bottle over the brush pile when Precious approached to keep him from jumping over the fence. All was well, until it was time to go home. Precious was next to me so carried him inside the stairwell. Called for Frodo for half hour with Precious meowing from the stairwell. I need to get going before the animal shelter closes because I'm dropping off some ignored by the cats things. Frodo never answers my calling or the fishing pole. Go back inside and pack my car. Precious sneaks out while carrying the laundry. Call Frodo some more. Finally he shows up to get petted and runs back into the woods. Now try to get both cats inside. I follow them into the woods and slip on the slope onto my butt. I scream at them that they are making me seriously late and how about I just leave them outside all night hungry and thristy. I leave the wooded area to get the fishing pole I left inside to load the car. Precious comes out and grab him to carry him inside. He growls at me. Frodo's turn. He comes to play with the fishing pole until I reach the parking lot. He sprints away to go under a car. I grab him hissing and snarling, then set him sorta down to grab the fishing pole on the concrete. He tries to escape but we make it inside the door. Frodo follows me upstairs and Precious comes too when I try to pick him up. I shoo them in the apartment and shut the door. I have five minutes to get to the animal shelter. Nobody answers the doorbell so I leave the things by the door. There are cars in the lot so surely somebody will see them as they leave.
Next I go to the bank for quarters and McDonald's since I haven't eaten all day. Then onto sister's house, an hour later than usual but I made it. My niece has a new tea set and keeps pouring the red kool-aid between glasses instead of drinking it, so she spills it all over the kitchen floor. Give her her Mother's Day card. Get laundry started. Make almond bark pretzels (visiting my apartment my sister notice almond bark I bought during Christmas and suggested we can make them at her house). Pushed niece in her swing. Laundry done I go home to see Mom and sister left messages. Sister was getting worried of my tardiness. Mom wanted me to ask my sister a question since she was not answering her phone, but after the fourth time she called my sister answered her question. Called Mom and we chatted how my niece never showed me the clothes Mom made for her lamby. Her dolls have clothes so lamby should too. She asked about my cat training. Sure my cats are trained, they just get an attitude like teenagers do and run off when it's nice outside. Then, my uncle who has had strokes is getting worse. He fell out of bed and hurt the back of his neck and shoulder area. The vertebrae nerves in the area were damaged, which control the fingers, and so he can no longer feed himself or sit up by himself. Even worse, he doesn't recall falling out of bed, just waking up on the floor. Apparently his crash was loud enough to stir the nurses into action to see what happened. Then recently, he can't swallow. That's not good in the question of "Will He Recover?". They have a liquid diet for him and he is losing weight rapidly. My Mom plans to visit when they attend my nieces' piano recital. I told Mom I could drive her to her side of the family's cemetery on Memorial Day. I just realized it is this month. Brain has been occupied elsewhere. Well, nothing else to report. Post later. Bye!

Weird one
I taped the Tom Cruise interview with Oprah last Friday and watched it today. The tape had Oprah and Tom, but the sound was of a previously recorded show so I got no interview and threw the tape away. Then I remembered the closed captioning and wondered if the Oprah Closed Captioning would show up or the sound from the other show. I got the Oprah Closed Captioning, but it was poorly done. Many misspelled words and huge chunks of the interview were not typed in. So I sorta got the interview. Then I threw the tape in the garbage. Post later. Bye!
Very bad cats
Went outside with both Precious and Frodo. Precious came when I shut the door and didn't wish to be left behind again. Tossed some trash and Frodo disappears. Precious was under a car and meowed his presence. I heard Frodo squeak a few times and called him, but didn't see him anywhere. Precious yowled his "Where are you" meow trying to find Frodo. Eventually, Frodo appeared by the back door and then chased Precious towards the dumpster. I followed them a ways into the wooded area nearly slipping on the slope and grabbing a thorny briar bush. I decided the open tree area and brush pile were caused by the top of a tree being struck by lightening and fell down. I saw another brush pile and the top of both tree trunks were very jagged so can't think of anything else that would take the top of a tree off. Precious walked passed the brush pile as I followed so thought maybe this was the end of his voyages to the back yard. We started going back and Precious jumped on the brush pile. I try to hurry but a vine across my chest slowed me down and once I got the vine over my head, Precious was in the back yard.
Stomped on the brush pile more to lower the platform to jump over. Precious ran off and won't answer my calls and Frodo got to the end of the woods to run off. Tried for 20 minutes to get them inside armed with toys and treats. I swing a teaser on a string to find the yard owners staring out their window. I finally give up screaming for them to get new owners cause I am so tired of this. Go inside and watch Oprah talk to Tom Cruise. After 40 minutes, I heard a meow outside so missed a part of Tom Cruise thinking they were waiting by the door. No, in the woods.
Frodo comes out and hides under the cars when someone comes out. Frodo squeaks for Precious and we return to the woods. Precious is out and then hides under the dog house deck. Fine, stay in the yard all night. Take Frodo inside and grab the cat tower to get Precious out of the yard. Reach the dumpster and there is Precious. He can jump over the fence after all, he just refuses to do it when I call him. I am so ready shoot them for their 2 hour and 20 minute walk outside, but too happy to have them back. Once they get hungry or thirsty, they return to the door. Will go to Petco for new leashes and harness them tomorrow since they don't come when called and run off. And the nice weather is only beginning. Post later. Bye!

Glad it is my Friday
Took Frodo outside today because Precious refused to come out. I even waited a few minutes and reopened the door for him. Frodo cocked his head in confusion and yet Precious stuck his nose out the door to turn around and go into the bedroom. Poor Frodo was lonely outside and hid the bushes with me shortly behind. I only had to call him 5 minutes to come in swinging his fishing pole he loves so much. Then I stepped on the metallic paper and broke the toy. How I am going to get him in tomorrow? Precious was chillin by the window and jumped down when we came back. Made it to work on time.
Then I print the reservation manifest to find we will be busy today. No time for DVD's. Had a couple spurts of customers standing in line and my coworker went home early (I said he could). My coworker screwed up a rental grabbing the wrong reservation and I had to cancel it to use it for my customer. The names were not similar so who knows how that happened. Had a guy pissed off he didn't get a GPS, he can't anywhere w/out one. I gave the last one out a couple hours ago. What did people do before GPS was invention? Oh yeah, read a map we provide for free. And for the record I give excellent directions.
Next I was chatting with an airport person about why I don't have my DVD player out. He said my coworker needs to sit by me and watch them with me. I said he talks to his wife all day so he has no time for my girly movies. He didn't know my coworker was married, he thought he was single. Apparently he hadn't noticed the wedding ring on his hand or heard about his 2nd baby being born a few weeks ago. And he was a couple when he moved up from Florida so he has never been single working here. Then fear of running out of cars came closer as another spurt of people came to collect their cars 2 hours before I close. The guys said they had me covered but that must include the speciality cars I didn't need.
Get my last 2 people and get a guy who didn't know he was suppose to get mileage when he returned his car so I have to go get it. Come back and the car rental next door guy is yelling me. What? The last customer is complaining the gas tank is empty. She is parked in the no parking zone in front of the airport. I have no other car to give her for a 3 month rental so explained I will mark the going out gas as empty. She wants that in writing. Fine, I will write it on her contract. Oh, she has to search for it. She further whines she ain't suppose to buy a tank of gas and throws in "I can see you don't travel very often". I apologize profusely and explain there is a gas station right at the exit of the airport. Is it open she asks. Yes, it is. She is going to have to fill up the gas tank before she returns the car anyway. I thought later driving home I could have offered to grab our gas cards and filled it up myself, but thought against it because she would have whined about the 2 minutes she had to stand and wait for me to return. She was bitch anyway when I rented her car. Let's see, I had had to argue over me updating her club profile during her rental. Her company was suppose to take care everything, why does she have to answer questions on her address in profile correct, insurances declined correct, and hand over her credit card when her company is paying this (her credit card in profile expired last month and must be updated to continue this conversation). Then everything she signed she had to ask why she had to sign it for. Then I to repeat my instructions to her hotel 3 times and repeated the exit street out of the airport 4 times. She finally grabbed out of my pencil cup and wrote them down as I spoke way too fast for her to understand. Then when I explained if she goes away for the weekend (many who rents cars for a year do this) that she can park in our return lot and just tell us the spot number so we don't move it, she asked how much that is going to cost her. I said nothing (but hey if she wants to pay to park in the airport garage be my guest). Obviously she rents a lot of cars and travels a lot. I did mark the tank as empty and typed in a rental note. That is the 2nd time in 2 days someone has complained about the gas tank being empty. Of course, they never complain while the car in sitting in its stall and we can easily exchange them or quickly fill the gas tank. That is too incoveinent to inspect a car before you take off in it, everything is suppose to perfect order you know. Some people live in fantasy worlds where nothing goes wrong you know.
I'm done whining. Just glad it is my Friday. Off to bed. Post later. Bye!

New neighbors
My new neighbors moved in furniture today spooking the kitties. Then I thought Precious got into the neighbor's apartment, but lady said he wasn't there. I yelled his name outside since he wasn't in the hallway. He was trapped behind the fence again and refused to come back. He even hid under the dog house platform so I couldn't grab him even if I could jump the fence. I got onto the brush pile holding on to the fence railing to squash it down as much as possible, I am getting real tired of this. I attempted to jump the fence but though I better not rip up my work pants. I finally left him alone and packed up my work stuff and then went back 5 minutes. Then he came. Bad cat. Anyone want to buy me a house with fence? I'm a little poor right now. They have been building condos, townhouses, and lofts in the downtown area, but who wants to breathe that pollution every day even with their new riverwalk trail.
The new neigbors were wearing college shirts so I presume they are students or just graduated looking 19, 20ish. I saw a double bed in the pick up truck so I'm sure they are not just rommies. Oh, they had a dashund (weiner dog). Well better go to bed. Post later. Bye!!

Naughty Frodo
I had adventure getting Frodo back inside. I saw him go behind the woodsy behind the garages area. When it was time to go home I called and called, but he didn't come nor meow. I walked Precious back home and he meowed in the window as I kept calling for Frodo. After a half hour I went behind the garages to find him. I tripped over a tree branch on the ground and got my pants covered in grass stains. Excited the dog next door and thank goodness there was a high wooden fence separating us. Stumbled through the bushes and the bugger wasn't behind the garages. Call for another half hour and finally he appears out of the wooded slope area beside the garages. I was so mad at him, and happy he came before I left for work.
Let's see, my coworker decided his 1998 Mercedes SUV was guzzling too much gas so he got a brand new Honda Civic. Another coworker said he was picking up a used car after work and showed everyone the pic in the paper. My new father coworker thanked me for the baby gift, he wife loves it. I got a bath set with towel, rags, rubber ducky, rubber ducky slippers that quack when the head is squeezed, and some socks. Oh yeah, and a travel package of Wet Ones. He showed a pic of his baby in his wallet. Adorable. He said his wife took the 27 hours of labor well, didn't yell at him or throw things at him. Baby is doing well.
Nothing else to report. Post later. Bye!

Bad cats
Precious jumped over the fence again and refused to come back over when I grabbed the cat tower. I try to push over the brush pile away from the fence to prevent a rerun of this frustration. All I accomplish is getting my pants dirty. After spending a half hour calling him, I decided to desert him and get Frodo inside. Frodo is by the door ready to go home. I open the door for him and he takes off. Bad cat. Carry him to the door and this time he goes inside. Go back downstairs to get Precious. This time I bring treats (I will use every trick up my sleeve if I have to), and Precious consents to jumping on the tower. I feed treats to get him to the door and finally get him home.
Then Frodo had his birthday party. He is 2-years-old today. I got a chocolate cake at the grocery store last night with a lion face. I eat the cake, Precious and Frodo get a can of tuna. Happy Birthday Frodo. Post later. Bye!

Interesting people
Had a car dealership call my manager declaring one of our cars came in via customer to get a new hubcap cause the customer hit a curb. The guy just wanted to give a heads up that the wheels might be out of alignment too. Obviously this is a place a place we frequently take our cars when the people have our number. Coworker hands the customer an accident report to fill out when he returned the car and customer is shocked, but didn't ask how we knew. The coworker couldn't even read his handwriting. I agree, it looks like chicken scratches. The best I could make out was that a car pulled out and he changed lanes to avoid the car, thus hit the curb hard enough to knock off the water cover (I never heard a hubcap called that). He pointed out he replaced the part out of his own pocket. My coworker was positive this guy never had the intention of telling us he replaced the hubcap. How's your day? Post later. Bye!

Adventure of the day
Took kitties out for their daily walk. They wander around to wooded area by the garages and dumpster. A big chunk of forest has been taken down and a large brush pile is stacked up against the neighbor's fence. I see Precious jump on the brush pile and think nothing of it, until his paws touch the fence railing. I rush over screaming "NO" with tree branches catching my hair, vines tripping my feet on a steep slope, and bushes knocking off my glasses. Precious jumps over just as I finally get to the brush pile. He wanders around in the neighbor's back yard for a while and meows because he can't get back over (his I'm trapped meow is different from I'm over here meow or where are you meow). Now I have to worry about Frodo jumping over too. I shake a branch trying to halt him and he jumps off the brush pile. Our time is up a hour later and I have to figure out how to get Precious back. I can touch his ears and forehead, but can't reach far enough to grab him. There is a small wooden ladder on the ground for at least a year, so I pick that up to have it fall apart on me and catching on the tree branches. Get the ladder over the fence with one part of the ladder intact for him to climb up. He won't come near it so take back the ladder and almost leave it hanging on a bush out of frustration. Go inside to get the cat tower. Precious sniffs it and wanders away. Damn him, I want to go home. I call him repeatedly, he meows back (his I'm right here meow). Finally after 10 minutes he comes back to the cat tower. He jumps up placing his front paws on the fence railing. I grab him and carry him to a part of the brush pile he can stand on. And finally go home. Post later. Bye!
Surprise visitors
It was just an ordinary day at work when my mom's sister and cousin, and cousin's husband, returned from a trip. I blurted out, See I do work here I wasn't lying. They have seen me at work before. We chatted as they waited for their luggage.
Though, I did have a lady asking 20 questions when I had a line of customers. Like, Where are you located, What are your hours, Do you have other locations in this city, What are their hours, How about other cities nearby, What are their hours, What is required to rent a car, Will you take cash, Will you take debit cards, Do I have to have a credit card, How much goes on my credit card, What if my credit card is maxed out, What cars do you carry, Will you have the size I want available in 3 weeks, What are your rates, Do you do a AAA discount, How much is the AAA discount, What is a reservation line, and Why can't I make a reservation with you now (because I have 3 customers standing in front of me).
I do wonder sometimes if some people are so lonely they have to bother sales clerks to have somebody to talk to. The 800 number you can easily find in a phone book can answer the same questions, and it is a free call. Post later. Bye!

Keep off grass
Today the kitties got spooked by the very loud lawn mowers enough to run inside. I have been noticing little signs saying "Chemical Treated" and "Keep Off Grass". I wonder if we are not allowed to touch the grass, where are the dogs suppose to pee. I guess the lawn mowers are allowed to walk on the grass. Not that everybody is obeying the signs anyway. Post later. Bye!

Broken tea pot
After logging off last night, I heard a loud crash with glass breaking in my apartment. I look around to find Precious with his claws on the window screen getting down before I get the chnace to grab the spray bottle. Frodo is sniffing the floor with items scattered about. Go see what is broken. I have a display case that has the shelves layed on rubber plastic stoppers instead of nailed in place. Frodo must have jumped up to sniff the display items and tipped the shelf over spilling my minature tea sets onto the floor. Amazingly, only one tea pot broke. But it is nothing that can't be glued back together. I felt like archeologist trying to piece back the broken tea pot and figured out where all the pieces go.
This morning I set off the smoke alarm taking a shower. Once I got all the windows open to let out the steam, the heater kicks in cause it is 50 degrees outside. Post later. Bye!

Job insecurity
I was having a good week. Got spring cleaning done, inspection of apartment came on Wednesday morning so didn't have to worry about removing cats, and colored with niece. She has the habit of watching me draw instead of joining me and asked to draw her teacher. I said that I don't know what her teacher looks like. She says, She looks like a teacher. I made her draw her teacher, it looked like Ms. Potato Head. Frodo was reluctant to come in today, but did manage it w/out picking him up.
Then I come to work to hear from the manager that we have the prospect of being bought out by the corporate office. Corporate people were present this week to make their offer. I heard the bossman doesn't want to sell, but his father does. Father is technically owner on paper, the son (bossman) is just president of the franchise. The manager said there is nothing to worry about, nobody is getting fired. According to others, there is something to worry about. Like getting paid less, starting completely over earning benefits, the other franchise location closing and those people getting fired or moved to our location, and change in management. I heard from another car rental that was bought out by the corporate office that if you don't reach their sales goals, you get fired. Even better, all overtime and bonuses are now out because we have to show we are making good profits on paper. Nobody is allowed to clock in early, but we still wait for delayed flights. A couple of guys were reading the want ads. They also joked how if they lose their jobs they can always buy a gun and become drug dealers. But at least this takeover won't officially take place for another year so hopefully I'll get my 3 week vacation days I worked 7 years for next February. Perhaps I'll go to Make up school to be a make-up artist. Any vacation plans I had dreamed up this summer are now out of the question, I need to hold back any luxuries to absorb the less money I will be making this year. Not that I got that much from bonuses anyway.
So how are you? I want to cry like my father did when I was 5 and he got lay off from a company takeover. Not understanding the situation, I hugged him saying it will be all right. I will always remember his reply: I wish that were true. Now I feel bad begging for new shoes instead of wearing my sister's hand me down ones because kids at school were making fun of my old scruffy shoes.

Beautiful day
It was so beautiful today Frodo hissed at me when it was time to go home. Precious hearing loud truck nearby sprinted to the door with Frodo following shortly behind. Precious is in the door and Frodo walks to the door behind Precious, but then turns around and takes off. Chase him all over the bushes and he makes a weird noise then hisses. He continues his weird noise as I pick him up. When get to the door with Precious looking out the window and he takes off again. Chase him again down the sidewalk and carry him back again. I nudge him towards the door and he goes in. Precious comes out. Then Frodo comes out. Aaaaaaaaaaaaargh. Nudge cats back in and home we go upstairs. Frodo got sprayed with the water bottle for climbing up the window screen.
Dusted some more, washed the couch and chair blankets along with the flannel sheets and winter blanket, cleaned the kitchen counters and sink, mopped the kitchen and dining room floor, cleaned a litterbox and replaced litter, and swept the carpets. Cleaning the kitchen floor, I had to get on my hand and knees to scrub under the cupboards to get the build up (Yes I do scrub, just not very often). Then I grabbed the cat comb to scrape up the hair build up on sections of the carpet so I could pick the dirt underneath with the sweeper. I still have litter pieces on the carpet, but it looks better.
When I was moppping, the phone rang and I didn't want to carry a drippy mop across the room, so I let the machine get it. I didn't recognize the voice, but then the TV was on too. Anyway, checked the machine after putting back the furniture and it was my brother-in-law wanting to know if I knew where my sister was cause his car wouldn't start. Don't know where she is so ignored the message. Go shopping and come back to find another message on the machine, this time from sister. They are at the airport and the car won't start. They are waiting for the tow truck person and sister wondered if I could give her and my niece a ride home while the brother-in-law waited for the tow truck. It had been a while since the message was left so I called their house. They were home, the tow truck guy started the car. He guessed the car sitting there for 5 days had a weak battery that needed changing. Brother-in-law was in the Boston Marathon this weekend. I feel terrible ignoring the first message and then missing the second. I get the chance to be a hero and miss it.
Got some new denim shorts today. When I saw them on the racks I thought I might have to go a size down cause butt is not that big. But up against my jean seams, they are just right. The waist band on the other hand is too wide and belts are in order to keep them up. I must ask why low rise jeans always fit at my waist just like capri pants reach my ankles? I just wish the belts for sale fit into the belt hoops better. Thick belts must be the fashion now. Though the one pair of jeans I got felt snug, but I think they were suppose to be. Stretch jeans are the fashion now with Cotton and Spandex. I didn't see any shirts I liked. Well, this is long enough so post later. Bye!

Spring cleaning
It is warming up this week to the 70's so opened up the door and windows to clean. Cleaned the windows, mirrors, bathroom, dusted everything, reorganized my bedroom closet, put books away, and grabbed all the unused pet things. I got a spray bottle cause people say it works like a charm keeping pets off the screens. I thought it was cruel and unusual punishment, but cats won't stay off the screens. Sure they get down when I say "Down" or face being pick up and pulled off. But they won't stop doing it like a kid always testing you. I thought of doing it too when outside to keep them off the porches on the ground floor. It doesn't work like a charm, I had to spray them several times to get them off the porches (Precious was worse than Frodo) and they kept going on those porches. Then I sprayed Frodo when his claws gripped the window screen and he hasn't climbed up since. I have the most stubborn cats in the world. Now I don't call it cruel anymore since I have taught them what I don't like them doing long ago so this is just reinforcement of the rules.
Oh, I got a note on the door this morning how the apartment people will be inspecting our apartments so we have to remove our pets or have them kenneled. If the people can't access our apartments, we will be fined. And the inspection will last 3 days. I hope they come the first day because it is my last day off and won't have to worry about removing them. Where do I take them for the other 2 days? Post later. Bye!

More drama at work
I come in to discover the troublemaker from yesterday clocked in an hour late today, called the bossman to ask to take off for lunch, and hadn't been seen since. Coworker calls bossman to ask if the guy was given the afternoon off or what. No, just time off for lunch. Coworker tells car washers to call if guy reappears so she can write it on his timecard. Time passes and car washer calls in stating guy just arrived driving his girlfriend's car. He took a 2 hour lunch break and shift is over in half hour. Car washers are mad, bossman is mad, and lots of going back and forth of who said what when. Troublemaker is even upset cause he hasn't done anything wrong and been washing cars like he is suppose to. Everybody leaves and later when the bossman's brother calls for the Sunday morning report of reservations and returns, I ask he how is doing and blurt out, So is this guy getting fired? Then quickly tell him he doesn't have to answer that. He asks why I'm asking and has said person done something else today. I didn't think I should be the one to inform him of today's drama nor spoil his evening, so just said that it would be 3rd rate info so I'm not saying a word. He can find out tomorrow. OK, so I have a big mouth.
Well, kitties are fine and enjoyed the sunshine today. Precious has been objecting to brushing that includes pulling on tangles so he has been running away when I grab the brush. Poor kitty. Post later. Bye!

Drama at work
Today I come in to find out that the new car washer clocked in, went over to wash one of his children's mother's car in the wash bay with kids hanging out in the back seat, then left for an hour with this woman, still on the clock, and hasn't cleaned a single car rental car. Washing personal cars is only allowed off the clock. Even worse, the bossman's brother walked by and saw this major no-no in the wash bay, but didn't want to yell at him in front of his kids. Later the bossman calls over asking when he left and has my coworker write on his timecard when he was last seen. Then when he came back, he commented how many dirty cars there were in the lot. Yeah, cause he isn't there washing them which puts pressure on the others to pick up the slack. Next, he takes 2 and 1/2 hours to wash a car. The guys average 4 to 5 cars an hour. A car washer spotted him sitting in a car listening to the radio instead of cleaning. Next car takes him an hour to clean. Night shift coworker comes in and we give a warning to be on his very best behavior cause the bossman is still here cause things are not getting done. Later, the night shift person brings in keys all upset about the dirty cars not getting cleaned that he will have to do tomorrow morning. The coworkers discussed back and forth if this new car washer is going to get fired or just reprimanded. It is the opinion of several that he should be fired for that stunt. Some wonder if he was planning to quit.
Then I come to find out about the gal next door's cancer and twisted back was no secret, everybody knows about it. It's colon cancer and lymphoma. I assumed this was discovered while they were investigating her back pain. She went home early when she hurt herself so I assume they checked out everything for the worker's comp papers and found it. She is going through chemo and radiation, and whatever, and will be out of work for 6 more months.
Better go to bed now. Post later. Bye!

Bad day
Had a bad day. First overslept and I'm still tired. I think the rain making my allergies act up had something to do with it. So the kitties didn't get their daily walk outside. They were very disappointed. It was raining when I left and still raining when I came back so let them out on the balcony.
Then when I come to work, the manager asks about working the closing shift 5 days a week. I guess, I stampered. Sensing my reluctance of direct reply, she asked about closing all 4 days I work. Oh, I can do that w/out a problem. I prefer my 3 days off. When the other closer came in I said, So I hear you don't like closing anymore. No, he is not liking it mainly because of delayed flights and bad info from the airlines. Last night a flight was announced to arrive after our cut off so my coworker went home. It arrived 5 minutes before the cut off so the customer was PO'ed. So the manager calls up the airlines and pays the customer's cab fare to the hotel. I guess the other closer had enough.
Then one coworker had a customer who didn't like the car his company reserved came back to complain his car was filthy and needed another cleaning, demanded a bigger car from his trouble of walking back in here to report employee incompetence (not the exact wording but you get the idea). Exchanged cars and sent him on his way. Coworker who had him before was displeased I gave him a better car after the fight they had with him. Sorry. Gave the keys to the car washers to inspect it. Nothing was wrong with it, just some stains on the floor that won't come out. Jerkoff wanting free upgrade as usual.
Then another coworker had a guy who was displeased the GPS was not in the car already, sorry ours are portable and cost extra. Then he wanted a car with the Ipod jack, and then got upset the cord connecting the Ipod and jack was not in the car already either, he had buy his own (Yeah sure, we also offer free cell phones plugged into the cigarette lighter for your conveinence to steal). My coworker told him to go to RadioShak for the Ipod cord.
Next a family (man, woman, 4 children) came by the counter for broken car assistance (car is in parking garage). I connected them to airport operations. They only do jumpstarts for people. So the lady (man was silent in this coversation) whines and whines how they have a tournament to attend, they are not from here, and they don't have AAA, So What Do They Do? Let's see, there are 500 body shops in this city and none will be open at 9:00 at night, we do have a tow truck company number that we use but that won't help them w/out an open garage to take it to, and finally Two grown ups old enough to have teen/preteen children don't know what to do when their car breaks down. I offered a phone book after answering her question on the cost to rent a van. Then a customer came up behind them so they got on their cell phone while the kids sat on the benches. Isn't this why we buy car insurance?
Let's see, I got busy with a customer, put someone on hold, and then a club member comes up behind the customer I'm helping to get all pissy with me cause I am the only one at the counter. I offered to call my coworker back in (I can't help it this guy keeps getting bored and goes outside to shuttle cars). Coworker comes back to rent a car and answers the phone. Then went back outside.
Now the coming weeks we have to save all the vans for Drake Relays to meet the demand.
Oh had 3 guys ask for directions to the race track nearby. Knoxville or Newton, I had to ask. Newton. One guy got confused when the hotel person said go west to find Newton and I said east. The guy said, I'm at the airport, so maybe the hotel clerk was thinking he was at another city's airport. No more to report. Post later. Bye!

Days off report
We had beautiful, but windy, weather this week and it finally warmed up enough today to go out w/out a jacket. Frodo got spooked today when the doors to the electrical meters room swayed open harshly from the assistance of the wind. I shut the doors as my good deed of the day. I even left the windows open all day today. It is just now getting chilly. I have been yanking out matted fur balls out of Precious's fur for three days straight, but today I gave him a break. Sister Sylvia came by to use my computer cause hers is broken. Precious enjoyed the attention of a rare visitor as Frodo hid up on the cupboards. I got a notice of the apartment people raising my rent $20, that took out the excitement of my job raise this year. Sure I could find a cheaper place, but that probably is inside what my coworkers call "the hood".
Hopefully I can afford a vacation this year, I need one. My last real vacation (not relaxing on the couch watching movies all week) was to Virginia in 2004. I thought of Colorado cause I've never been there, but then thought of my uncle in Spokane to obtain free room, board, and transportation. I sent away for a tourism guide so we shall see what I can save for. I checked out flights online and found a cheap Des Moines to Denver round trip rate, but the return flights were Denver, Minnenapolis, Chicago, and finally Des Moines. I'll pay the extra $100 for a one flight back and forth ticket.
I got a newsletter from the apartment declaring a spring balcony decorating contest. They said to place potted flowers and such for them to judge. I don't think I'll go to the trouble. They also announced a can and bottle drive to raise money for the Leukeima and Lymphona Society. Guess I'll be taking can and bottles out of the waste basket at work this month.
Got my Oprah Show interrupted the other day from a 15 minute news conference announcing the Drake University coach is leaving us for New Providence. Now really, do we need a 15 minute news conference over that. To me, that is a 2 minute newsbrief between commercials. I guess nothing else is happening so they call that urgent Breaking News. I didn't miss much of Oprah, it was about the difficulty to quit smoking. It reminded me of a story my coworker told when he was out playing basketball with his friends and got so hot and sweaty (it kinda happens when playing baketball). Then he started hacking and coughing, finally going home. There was a kid on a bench watching them. His friend said to the kid, "That's what happens when you take drugs." My coworker said the coughing from smoking not drugs. He always says he is going to quit smoking, but an hour later the withdrawal kicks in and he needs a smoke. I also got a Oprah Magazine renewal slip. I find it amazing that letting the subscription expire and sending in one of those new subscription slips in magazines is cheaper than renewal of the subscription.
I try to wear Frodo out with the laser light, but it never works. He recovers and pounces Precious to run around like a lunatic. Ah youth. Frodo will be 2 years old next week. Well, I think this is long enough. Post later. Bye!

Funny people
Today I just came on the clock when a guy came up wanting to rent a car. He points out he has a reservation. My coworker replies, Oh I didn't know you had a reservation. Apparently, this guy asked my coworker for his price then went to all the other counters comparing rates and decided his reserved rate was the cheapest. Tip: The no-reservation rate is rarely the cheapest price.
Then a guy calls up stating the reservation line refused to make him a reservation because our location will probably be closed when he arrives. Probably?? You mean they can't look that up to be sure what our hours are. If they would have attempted to make the reservation it would have gone through (our system forbids making reservations when we are closed). My coworker made a reservation for him. So then the guy calls as he is boarding the plane to ask the price, am I going to be there, and what size of car was he booked for. When he arrived he was so happy to see me. I told him I'm here another 10 minutes. And we do allow 15 minutes for people to get off the plane and walk down to the counter so if he was delayed I still would have been there until passengers collecting baggage from his flight left.
Found out an interesting tidbit about the new video and audio surveillence a car rental has. They had to rid the audio because the car rental next to them complained the audio picked up stuff 30 feet away and was recording their prices when they were renting cars to their customers. So now only the video is in place. I think their excuse was having proof of customer-employee conflicts, but I think it has more to do with employees leaving early and forgetting to clock out so they write with a pen when they left the next day. That is just my opinion.
Anyway, car rental next door story I ended up in. Lady asked for help finding the clerk to the car rental next door cause her flight is leaving in 15 minutes. I tapped on the window cause they aren't allowed to eat and drink or read at the counter so they hide in the back room all day. He comes out and she shouts again her flight leaving in 15 minutes, she parked in one of our spots cause their stalls are full, and there are no employees outside to give her keys to. Guy calls for a skycap cause she can't carry her heavy bags and her dog to the airline counter and is upset we have no employees in the lot to help her. Excuse me, it is not our job to carry luggage to the airline counters, that is what skycaps and luggage carts are for. In fact that is what curb side check in is for too. Car washer walks in with keys and the lady tells him not to move her car cause her luggage is still it. OK. Skycap walks by with a trolley for her luggage, and dog. We get busy with customers so I didn't see her luggage go by. The guy comes up to announce their car is in our spot and we asked about all the fuss she was making. Guy is certain the lady is not going to make her flight in the next 8 minutes. My coworker said she needed to plan her time a little better.
Even better, the car rental next door had a customer call roadside assistance from a hotel cause the car died and he barely made it to the hotel. Tow truck driver comes to pick up the car, but he has only the first name of the customer so the hotel refuses to give out any room number to contact customer for the keys. They need to put the car in neutral to roll the car onto the flatbed truck or else damage the tires and bumper. Instead of calling whomever for the full name of the customer, this guy drags the car onto the flatbed and drops car off at the car rental wash bay. The car rental guy is uncertain how he got the car off the flatbed if the tires are not rolling. I wondered outloud how long the tow truck guy is going keep his job. That would be severe enough damage to cancel the contract the car rental has with the towing company.
And finally, a franchise owner's wife walked by and I heard her saying, Go ahead and complain about our rules, what are they going do fire me, I own this place. I thought it an amusing statement. Post later. Bye!
Weekend report
The other day, Precious was naughty. Again he has to sneak over to the dog porch and meowed to rile up the dog there. The dog wasn't even at the glass door until that little bugger meowed.
Last night at work, we were all whispering to glance at the guy with a 2 feet tall mohawk walking by. The guy who returned the car said it wasn't a guy, it was a girl, a 20-year-old. Oops, we only caught the back view.
This week the bossman is offering free hockey and basketball tickets. He's buddies with the coach of the local basketball team and my coworkers get excited when they drop off their personal cars when the fly out to other cities. How many times do you get the chance to drive a professional player's car to make room for other cars? Needless to say, I didn't sign up for free tickets. Even if I cared they always play on nights I work. Though I am unsure about the where the free hockey tickets came from.
We got a new phone cord that is so short it pops out of the receiver every time you pick up the phone.
Guy remarked yesterday to turn my head when he walked by so today when he passed by I gave him a fast forward sunflower imitation moving my head, body, and chair left to right. He laughed.
Last night, Precious and Frodo were cuddled in bed with their paws around each other and it looked so cute I wished I had my camera. But if I did they would get out of it and sniff the camera, or worse, the batteries would be dead.
I heard that the car rental company next door is going to hire a new person. I gave the informer a hard time about the firing a person cause business was slowing down last month, and now going they are looking to hire a new person cause business is picking back up. Those assholes. Why don't they hire back the person they laid off? She is making more money someplace else and would not come back. But alas, the real reason is that a second person screwed up her back lifting the velvet rope stands (we offer to help them since they weigh a ton) and she will be out for six months. Though the informer believed she had other health problems to cause this absence, like possibly cancer. I said I wouldn't tell anybody in the strictest of confidence, but you don't count cause you will never speak to my people to ask who it is.
And finally, had the strangest customer question. I was giving her my usual jokes (Yes I live here, there's a cot in the back for me to sleep, as if you don't show your license enough to get on the plane, they just put sign there to confuse people and most say it works, and if you hit a wall you went too far). She asked if I did theater in high school. No. (Mom would not allow it) She was surprised I said no. Never been asked that before just for cracking jokes. I use jokes to alleviate customer's anger over lost luggage, delayed flights, etc so they are not yelling in my face over the prices, only having boring cars, won't take their prepaid credit card, etc. If I can get someone to smile, they calm down a bit. Well, that is the end of my weekend report. Post later.

Dentist appointment
Had my dental appointment today for a thorough tooth cleaning and x-rays. Excellent condition as usual. Gave the toothbrush, dental floss, and toothpaste samples to my sister. I just bought a new toothbrush, prefer mint flavored floss, and don't like the taste of Crest (I think Crest is a guy thing). They said whatever I am doing to keep doing it.
Took kitties out after came back and it took 40 minutes to get them back in. Precious dicovered a board elevating him to a fence and I jumped to stop from jumping over. Over the fence was deeper and he would not have be able to jump back over. Then he ran along the fence to find an opening and went into the neighbor's back yard. He earlier found another hole in a fence and climbed through. I had to walk around the fence to discover where Precious ended up. I found the garages and the fence was level with the roof. Well Precious had fun on the roof and crawled back under the hole to meow for my location.
Let's see Precious is getting many mats in his fur and keeps biting my hand when I tug on them. Can't blame him, they hurt but must come out. Well, I hope my niece Tory had a good birthday today. Sweet 16 I think. I just know she can't wait to get her driver's license. Didn't we all. Post later. Bye!

Ear splitting headache
They cranked up the volume on the PA system for about 10 minutes to the point of me covering my ears when they started to hurt. My coworker said it felt like her ears were bleeding. Then it went down a notch and few hours later I heard a booming announcement to make them hurt again. Good thing we keep aspirin under the counter for the occasional headache.
Let's see, found another cat lady with her girl cat on a leash, Jennifer. Precious investgated the new feline and Jennifer hissed at him so he hissed back. I assured the lady my cats are pussies. Frodo ran off and hid in the bush.
Oh, got woken up by someone pounding on the door. At first thought maybe it was a UPS guy, then opened my eyes to darkness to see the clock declaring 3:04 AM. Then heard the fire door shut, footsteps, and more pounding. I wondered if this person was knocking on different doors. I was half asleep so I couldn't tell if this person was at my door or neighbor's door. Precious and Frodo stayed in their sleeping positions, so thought maybe not my door. Frodo hides on the fridge and Precious runs to the door when people knock on my door. After 20 minutes, the pounding stopped and the cats chased each other around the apartment. Apparently nobody else wish to answer their doors either.
Heard someone is moving out of his mother's house and the mother is convinced he is not going anywhere. I think he is moving in with his girlfriend, or someone.
Then heard someone's stepbrother is getting a divorce and he thought divorces cost nothing, just sign a paper and you are free. He found out they cost $1500 and $700 had to be paid upfront before the lawyer will do anything. It was mentioned this guy will really freak out when he is hit with child support payments and have to pay for health insurance for their child too. Apparently this couple keep fighting and when he went over to collect some of his things from their trailer, he was so drunk he parked down the street so the wife wouldn't see his truck and parked in front of a trailer. When he got back to his truck with his things, there was a note from the wife stating you aren't suppose to park in front of people's trailers. Well better go to bed. Post later. Bye!

Boring day
Let's see, the new janitor gal at work has started asking a lot of personal questions, like my schedule, my age, where do I shop. She commented how sweet of a person I am when I said I planned to shop for a baby gift for my stupid coworker. So we are getting to know each other.
A guy janitor gave me his business card (he paints houses and fences) and stated if I ever wanted to go out for pizza with him, just give him a call. I threw it away. I was so stunned I didn't say anything. He reminds me too much of my father, you know the over 50 type. Last night I said I go straight home after work and he said that was a shame. Sorry there is not much to do in Des Moines at midnight.
Then Frodo knocked over my glass of milk on the coffee table. It is just so much fun to clean up spilled milk. Precious is driving me nuts meowing to go out, then comes right back in, and wants out again. Well, better go to bed. Post later. Bye!

Missed litterbox
After I signed off my computer, I go clean the litterbox and notice a pile of litter on the litter mat. I brush it into the dirt pan to realize (I think Precious) missed the litterbox to pee on the wall, base board trimming, floor, and litter mat. A little did manage to fall into the box. That was so much fun to clean up right before bed. How are you? Post later. Bye!

Snow!!!
Yesterday, I put away my winter sweaters and winter themed sweatshirts thinking now that it's April, weather should be warming up. Then today it rained all day and all of a sudden, SNOW!! The flurry kind that melts hitting the pavement. Tell Mother Nature no more snow, please. Post later. Bye!

Not much to report
Not much to say this week. Stepped on Frodo and Precious getting off the couch cause I didn't realize they were under my blanket (I know I should be use to this behavior by now). Went in to get my eyes checked. The nose pads on my glasses are breaking off pieces so need new ones. My left eye is getting a slight adjustment, but my right eye's astingmatism is much worse. The doc warned I might be disoriented when first put them on, that can't be good. I haven't been to the eye doctor for 5 years. At least these glasses last a long time. The new ones are smaller and turquoise.
Neighbors downstairs moved out and freaked out the cats passing by on the stairs. Precious helped himself to investigate the open door, but I grabbed him. No more cats called Wine and Liquor. The next day they came back and I assumed to clean up, the lady carried curtain rods downstairs and the guy checked the mailbox. Their baby girl looks about a year old.
Oh, Frodo got into the closet as I was changing towels and pulled out some ponytail holders I've been holding back. So had to fling them acrosss the room for him. He loves to bat them under the TV table and jump around catching it. I realized I'm missing a bath towel cause I got faded burgundy hand towel and wash rag, but the bath towel is no where to be found. Maybe it's at my sister's house. We both like big fluffy towels so it's easy to confuse them. I preordered Alvin and the Chipmunks on amazon.com. Should be getting it soon. I didn't know it was coming out on DVD until a coworker mentioned his intention to get it. Naturally, the guys had to give him a hard time asking "How old are you?", but he watched the Chipmunks as a kid so it's okay to watch the cartoon now. It's not just me who watched it as a kid. But I admit it freely, I am 32 and love watching cartoons. Well, post later. Bye!

Walk interupted
It has been announced on the weather that it will be cold and rainy this weekend. I put my sweater and winter coat bundled up for a 40 degree walk. Neighbors on 2nd floor are moving out. Precious checks out the apartment with the door open. I grab him up. Frodo is terrified and stays on the landing above. It's warm outside and the movers are wearing t-shirts. Talk about bad weather forecasting. Precious walks down to the front door and disappears. I go outside to find him, unzipping my coat. A dog walks by stirring up the dog on the ground floor (my cats aren't the only ones that make him go crazy). After a while he meows. He went around the building. We walk around to the back door and he runs upstairs. We get to the 3rd floor and Precious is ready to go home. But Frodo is in the other hallway. I open the door and Frodo dashes in to the apartment door to the top of the cupboards. Poor Frodo. My thermometer say 63 degrees. I changed to a long sleeve shirt and opened the windows along witht he balcony door. Precious is checking out the windows and Frodo just came down. Oh, I forgot their after walk can food. Better go. Post later. Bye!

Bare face today
The past couple weeks I have been trying out my new eye make-up, four colors with colors labeled brow bone, lid, crease, and outer corner for a drmatic look. At first people didn't even notice and then a guy asked if I was wearing make-up (Tip: Men never notice you are wearing any make-up unless you are wearing eye shadow). My male coworkers congratulated him for noticing. Then the next day after that, a guy at another car rental asked if I did something cause I look different, fresher, than normal. I told him I was wearing new make-up stating that since I got this new eye shadow I might as well wear the rest of it.
At first it took me about 30 minutes to get the full effect on (liner, mascara, concealer, powder, blush, and of course 4 eye shadows) making myself late for work from constantly retouching and the next week I cut it down to 15 minutes. But today, I went bare face from not having the time cause I overslept. You know what, I don't see that much difference between bare face and make-up face. Funny. Post later. Bye!

Niece goes home
Niece woke up before me (I think everybody in the world wakes up before me) and heard her playing in the living room. I went out to turn on the TV for the PBS kid shows and Caillou was on, her favorite show. Then made her oatmeal and milk breakfast and went back to bed. Woke up again and got up. Did cat chores, got niece dressed, and had lunch before we went outside. Had fruit mix while waiting for fish and fries to cook in the oven. Poor cats meowed and meowed in confusion because we go outside right after I get dressed. Once outside, Niece was upset the cats didn't follow her, but what can I do about it. Precious got spooked by the UPS van and Frodo refused to come back in. It didn't help that my niece was right in the doorway squealing and kicking her feet trying to play with Precious. Had her sit on a step to get her away from the door, didn't work so had both niece and Precious go upstairs. I grabbed Frodo's fishing pole and a dog walking by encouraged going back in.
We colored and read books while watching Lady and the Tramp. Then it was time to go home. Natually niece thinks she should not go home. I told her that Mommy and Daddy miss her so she has to go home. She asked where her baby sister is, cause she is staying with me when they go to China. I explained her sister is in China and someday come home to her. Auntie is coming to her home too and do her laundry. She cried all the way to the car. My sister was very happy to see her and cuddled on the couch watching more Caillou. I gave a good report of niece. When laundry was done, I went home to more tears. Cats are enjoying the balcony. It will rain the rest of the week so better enjoy the sunshine today. Post later. Bye!

Niece visit
I went over to get my niece for our overnight stay and my sister forgot all about it. She has so many things to remember. Niece was excited to see the cats. We opened her toy box with coloring books, dolls, and meowing kitty with a bottle making slurping noises. I forgot I put a few books in it too. We had our supper while she read books and played with the cats. We had mac and cheese, carrots, celery and peanut butter, banana, chicken nuggets, and milk. She was more interested in reading the Cinderella coloring book than coloring in it. We watched Dumbo, I don't think she had seen it before. She turned away at the elephants falling from their pyramid and when the pink elephants came on, but when I said dancing elephants are not scary she looked. Then she had a bath and played with the bath toys. I only washed her body since I didn't have baby shampoo. She liked her Princess towel with a crown on top. Got her into her pj's and had jello. She claimed she never saw Cinderella and wanted to see it, but I insisted on Dumbo (she needs new things to watch once in a while). I put in Cinderella while we had our snack. I baked up a cake/cookie in the microwave, but scooped it up before completely cooling off so it was mush. I skipped around the Cinderella movie to finish it. She said she was getting tired and wanted to go to bed. I let the cats out on the balcony and started reciting the lines of the movie. She kept saying, Do it, do it, whenever I stoppped. We brushed her teeth (difficult since she was biting down on it), read bedtime stories, and now she is in her sleeping bag. I turned on the news at 10.
During our cat walk we exploring the playground when Precious disappeared and then came running to me. I didn't hear anything so wasn't sure what spooked him. Then here comes that stray cat and cats hide from it. Party is over. Now the cats won't come out to go home. I got the fishing pole and carried Precious in. Frodo hissed at me and hid under the bush. Cat toy got him out but would not leave the stray cat. Then neighbor came out our door with his dog. Frodo came right in. When Niece came Frodo hid up on the fridge, but came down after a while and even jumped on Niece's lap while watching Cinderella. Frodo also got stuck in the fridge when I was cooking our cake/cookie. He yowled to get out to the amusement of Niece when he jumped out. How's your day. Post later. Bye!

Frodo also got stuck in the fridge when I was cooking our cake/cookie. He yowled to get out to the amusement of Niece when he jumped out. How's your day. Post later. Bye!
Happy Easter
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter. I got up about 12:15 PM, took cats outside, went to work, did crossword puzzles, watched movies, had no bad customers, pop machine was broken at the cafeteria so went down to the basement's pop machine for my caffeine fix, waited for a delayed flight that came in at 1:15 AM, and came home to my kitties wanting outside again. My Easter dinner was frozen pancakes and precooked bacon heated in the microwave, and some cranberry juice. Today, my niece will spend the night. She loves the kitties. Well better go to bed so I can get up before 5:00 PM.Happy Easter. Bye!

What a jerk
Had a guy argue over the direct billing rules that changed last December, and then in the middle of the argument he asks me out for drinks after I get off work. The nerve him thinking I would go out with him after all his whining how unfair I am to him. What an asshole. Done ranting.
Cats had a pleasant walk today in the beautiful sunshine. Then another coworker asked if I was dating the new guy at the car rental next door or not. I have to ask if these people want me to date this guy because they are bored at work and have nothing better to do, cause they leave out any indication of this guy's interest. Just because he isn't married doesn't mean he doesn't have a girlfriend.
Anyway, sorry the cats haven't done anything worth talking about. They sleep, chase each other, and eat. Post later. Bye!

Easter present
Gave my niece her Easter present of Snow White Barbie and Roo's Springtime with Easter them cover. We dyed eggs and watched her new Pooh video. She loves Pooh.
Cats had a nice walk in the sunshine. That is until the mailman truck appeared spooking Precious and then a tiny puppy, small enough to fit in my hand, came outside with a man and spooked Frodo.
Well better go. Post later. Bye!

Interesting email
Got an interesting email. A man introduced himself as a director of a bank in Hong Kong and contacted me with a with a $24 million money transfer proposition. He will give me the details when I reply with my interest. Hmm, money transfer proposition? Isn't that called money laundering and the second I hit transfer I get arrested. Where do these criminals get my email address? Sometimes I hate living in the digital age, or is it the internet age now. Post later. Bye!

Happy St. Patrick's Day
Let's see. This week the cats enjoyed the nice weather, so much that Frodo hissed at me for trying to pick him up. I shouted, Don't you hiss at me little boy. He went under the bushes and hid. Precious had gotten spooked by a very loud car driving by and went to the back door, then the front door riling up the ground floor dog to meow like crazy to be let in. So went back inside to let Precious in and grabbed a fishing pole to lure Frodo. He got out of the bush but stopped stop on top of the hill next to the door. Then a dog appeared and Frodo refused to move. Then he got behind me to hide from dog and I walked to the door. That time he willingly went in.
Then yesterday I almost stepped on Precious's head. He was under the bed with his head sticking out. I got out of bed and felt fur under my foot and jumped. Precious meowed. He has driving me nuts wanting to out constantly, I let them out on the balcony to have them come in after 2 minutes today. The temp goes down at night. Then 20 minutes later they out again.
What else. Oh, I found the head of a toy mouse in the hall today. Can't find the other half anywhere. Frodo has been chasing box elder bugs in the stairwell this week. The kitties are loving the new green grass and have a feast every time we go out. It rained today and people attending the St Paddy's parade brought umbrellas. I planned to go shopping today, but didn't feel like going anywhere. Got a gift card to the local mall for Employee Appreciation Day (otherwise known as Secretaries Day).
A coworker called in sick this weekend, Friday he twisted his back, Saturday he had the flu, Sunday his wife had the flu and couldn't take care of their toddler son while 8 months pregant and sick. Whatever. A coworker commented how this guy calls in sick on weekends only. I joked back to look on the bright side, Eventually he will run out of sick days. Got to work with the manager Sunday night. We chatted about our cats, wanting to take a vacation but have no money, etc.
Oh I forgot to mention that for February's commission I got the highest and $100 bonus nobody else gets. And I get an extra day to work cause someone went on vacation. I need the money. I've been thinking of taking a vacation but everything is so expensive and it will only get worse. Besides, where would I go by myself. I did read about a culture tour with SouthwestIndian.com that runs a catalog to help the poor people on reservations. It has a lot of cool stuff if you like southwest stuff. I would love to see Anasazi Ruins (Southwest Indian ancestors), I love ancient history. I thought about Mammoth Caves in Kentucky, or a National Park like Yosemite. Oh well, gotta see how my sister's China trip works out first before making any big plans.
Can't think of anything else to talk about. Post later. Bye!
Precious and Frodo say Meow.

Excitement of the day
I'll skip the making customers mad stories of the day and move on to the suggestion that I go see this smashed up car a customer miraclously survived with the drivers side of the car gone. The guy pulled over the road to take a nap and some of the car was still in the driving lane which got hit by a semi truck. So then found out it had already be removed from our lot. The estimate was $22,000 of damage while the car was worth only $14,000. Plus there is the question of if this guy has insurance or is it expired at time of accident. Then after asking to the guys to take me over to the wash bay (I am not walking), they said I could help shuttle cars over. Sure why not. I brought over 4 cars and guys said I was slow. Had to ask how to put the window back up, had to exit the car to swipe my badge, get back in the car, switch to drive from park, all before the gate arm went back down. My arms aren't long enough to reach the box even with the car hitting the curb. Then, every time I had adjust the seat to reach the pedals (all my guys are taller than me), had trouble seeing behind me because the head rest blocked my view, and the last car I drove in I could not remove the keys from the ignition. I didn't have the keys back far enough to unlock. I jerked them as back as I could. But other than I had fun and got on the guy's good side for a while. Post later. Bye!

I won the British Lottery
I received a couple emails stating I won 3 million pounds stirling in the British Lottery. My email address was picked out of a quarter of million email addresses that were entered.
Gee, I don't recall entering any British lottery. They want a reply with my full name, address, phone number, sex, occupation, etc. and if I want a cheque or bank transfer. Ya think it is a scam to implant a virus into my computer or the real thing. I would think people entering a lottery would include contact info in their entry, don't ya think. I think it is a scam targeted at stupid people. Phishing is it called now? Anyway, later. B.

Nice Weather
We are having lovely weather this week, in the 50's and 60's. Cats were outside an hour yesterday and today not so long cause the cars driving by frightened them. And today the price of gas went up to $3.09. They said it is going to get up to $4 a gallon. Checked out the new and much larger grocery store. Mom would despise it since she has arthitis. I had to walk everywhere to find my stuff. At least I got my exercise. My sleep aid wasn't listed in the aisle signs (neither was family planning section). It was on the bottom shelf of the aspirin. They should set it by the allergy stuff since half the pills contain my allergy medicine. Ran into one of airport janitors and finally met the wife I hear so much about. The good thing is my bank outlet is in the store so I don't have to go all the way to another town to deposit stuff, and maybe cash the occasional check. They have the gas station there too. They have a glass waterfall where water streams down a pane of glass to a pool. Oh, and the new can/bottle redemption machines are cool too. I just recalled not turning the receipt to the cashier. Oops, got to go back tomorrow to get my $3. Well, nothing else to say. Post later. Bye!
A List
I was reading Oprah Magazine and found letters to the editor about people grateful for the article in a past issue about making a list of traits you want in a husband, and that will come to you cause you are focusing on what you want, not traits you don't want.
Also, in the magazine they had articles about friendships, which I skip since I don't really have friends. Don't get me wrong, I have plenty of email pals that never write except for the generic "Everything is fine" note at Christmas. Sure I talk to people at work but we never converse outside of work. Though whenever I do think I'm gaining a friend at work, she turns into the makeover artist changing my clothes, shoes, hair, make-up, etc. I don't like being someone's project or clone so I pull away. I also despise people who insist on coming to their church when I keep telling them I will never come. I guess my definition of friend is anyone who can tolerate my presence.
So in that here is my list for people I want in my life, husband or friend.
Traits I Won't Tolerate:
Control freak w/abusive personality cause I get enough verbal abuse from my family that I don't need any more from friends.
People who answer every story I tell with "What you need to do is". I'm not asking for advice, I am telling a story, period. I also get plenty unsolicited advice from everybody I know that I don't need more.
Guy who gets a agressive/vicious dog breed simply to prove to everyone how tough and strong he is. I will not have a vicious dog attack my cats or bite off the fingers of my 4-year-old niece in my home. Besides, a vicious dog will prove how neglectful and ignorant you are of needs of something that depends on you for care, not how tough you are.
I don't wish to be close to the stupidest people on earth dependent on me telling them what to do.
I don't want someone who loves cooking cause I enjoy it so I don't want compeition for the stove.
What traits I do want:
Kind, generous, funny, willing to take me out, imagination, good communicator, good negotiator and cooperative, likes to hold hands and snuggle, someone who takes care of themself, likes cats and other creatures (nothing that would cause harm to my cats), and a nice smile. I prefer tall, blond, and muscular, but can fall for any hair color or stature.
Now where do I find someone like that? I bet guys like that are already married with 3 kids. Post later. Bye!

Glad it is my Friday
Had a customer come up to the counter with fur coat, manicured hair that looked like she jumped out of a Vogue magazine, brand name purse, pulling giant black suitcases, and knew instantly she is going to be a bitch. I was not disappointed.
She whined about her contract, frowned that I didn't know exactly where her home office was located, and had to argue what most corporate accounts contain in their contract. I was wrong of course. Whatever. She comes back demanding to know where her car is cause it is not in our lot outside the door. No, it is not, it is in another lot. She has rented from us a dozen times and never had to pick up a car in another lot. Yeah well, there is a first time for everything (I did not say that part to her). I offered to walk her to the exit door to point out the lot. Someone outside said she has to take a shuttle to it. No, that person was wrong. She shouts, Nevermind I'll just walk all over the airport finding this car myself. Unnecessary, I will go with her. Then walking out the door, she whines how her luggage is heavy and it is unfair to make her walk so far with it. I neglected to point out the luggage carts. Outside, w/out my coat, I point out the lot the car is in.
She comes back again cause the car is not in the stall I wrote down on her folder. She orders I put on my coat and go with her to this spot and see for myself it is not there. Unnecessary, I will just give another car. While exchanging cars in the computer, she asks how long I have worked here. Almost 7 years. Oh really, she replies in that doubtful tone. If this snow queen thinks she is going to shake me up, she has another thing coming. If I am upset, it's because of my coworkers writing incorrect stall numbers so I have to abandon my counter and to hunt this car down, and often times it is on the wash bay area. With coat on, walk her to her new car and hit the unlock button to make sure this one is where it is suppose to be. She whines again about how I don't know what it is like carrying her heavy luggage all over this airport. This car is in our closer lot. She demands I go check the stall for her first car. I apologize and assure her I will look for this car.
Go look for this car in the other lot. It is not in the other lot. Okay, now I'm pissed and check our closer lot. It is 10 paces from the exit door and we passed by it on the way to her new car. Those jerk coworkers. I explain to the other rentals I pass by on the way back in why the lady was yelling at me including that if the car washers get mad cause we sit on our butts all day reading magazines while they are working their butts off washing cars, I say they don't have to deal with people screaming in their faces so that makes us even. At least it is my Friday. Joy to the World. Oh then I come home to find all the most parking spaces taken, even by the curb where you are not suppose to park. Is there a party of some sort going on? It sure is not a holiday and it is a Sunday night. I circled around twice and parked at the bottom of the hill. Post later. Bye!

Funny work story
I have a funny work story for ya. Guy comes up to the counter asking if the car rental next door person is here. Yes, he is right there behind the counter. There are 3 customers in line at this counter. Guy doesn't see him. I explain he is sitting down, he is on crutches so he has to sit down. There's not more than one employee there? Nope, they have been cutting back on their workforce so people are working alone by themselves. He gets in line behind the other 3 people. When he reaches the counter, I take off for the rest room since nobody is coming by my counter. When I walk out of the stall, the guy is standing by the sinks. I tell him he is not suppose to be in here. Oh sorry, he says and leaves. Only male janitors and little boys are allowed in the ladies room. Post later. Bye!

Days off
Not much happened on my days off. Frodo finally took a couple of naps atop of the new cat tower, and it only took him a month. Frodo chased the laser light and fishing pole. Went grocery shopping and debated whether or not to give my baby niece an Easter present. If I give her one, my other nieces in another state will feel left out. And then there is the fact that one year my niece got 4 Easter bunnies. Then my sister despises candy being given to her by her preschool during any event: birthdays, Halloween, Chirstmas, Valentines's. So chocolate bunny would be frowned upon. I saw cute Princess dolls of Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Aurora, Jasmine, Ariel, but how does one pick. My niece has 4 Cinderella dolls. My sister said I could get Snow White, she loves Snow White though she never seen the movie. Okay, I'll get the Snow White Barbie. I thought I could get the movie to go with it online with my Disney Movie Club membership. Nope. Not there. What is the deal with all the Princess dolls, Princess Christmas DVD, and the books with the storyline (my niece has 5 Cinderlla books), the movie sequels, but you can't buy the DVD? No Snow White, No Sleeping Beauty, No Beauty and the Beast, and now No more Cinderella or Aladdin DVDs. I do have The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, and the first Aladdin. Only 2nd hand DVDs that don't come in their original containers or scratched up. Whose wants to spend $50 on a scratched up DVD on amazon.com? As any collector knows, mint condition and original packaging make the most money. So I got Roo's Springtime from Winnie Pooh instead. Niece loves Pooh.
I babysat while sister to a meeting. I brought Lilo and Stitch. My sister got confused when I told her my niece pouted when the aliens refused to rescue Lilo for Nani. She crossed her arms and shouted at the TV, Go get Lilo! My sister never seen the original. I had to explain there have been more movies made after the original she could be confusing it with. Despite my niece's earlier objection to watching anything she has not seen before, she did enjoy the movie.
Come home to my kitties and played with the laser light. Read a couple pages about feeding a ferret. It may be more natural to give a ferret pinkies (baby mice) or chicks, but the thought of handing over baby animals makes me want to vomit. I rather give any future ferret a chicken leg or wing. I liked the idea of human baby food, boiled egg, or kibble ferret food with chicken broth on top much better. My carnivore cats seem to get along with cat food and cat treats along with the occasional eating off my plate (Precious loves pasta and Frodo loves cheese).
Well, better go to bed now. Gotta work tomorrow. Post later. Bye!

Happy Snowstorm
I was counting the cash drawer when the loud and booming PA system announced the airport (or rather the actual runway) is closed and for those waiting for the flight from Denver was diverted to Omaha and the flight from Wisconsin was sent back to Milwaukee. That means we get to go home. Took a few minutes to wipe off my car (snow, no ice) with a cd blasting through the glass. I finished at the end of the remake of Shout at the Devil by Motley Crue, so I'm guessing 5 minutes.
I went out to 4" of snow. I took my regular route by the airforce base thinking it would be plowed like the street running by the airport. No, it wasn't so I tried to stay in the tire tracks. I thought it amusing it wasn't plowed because it is a snow route (gets plowed first) so the military personnel can get through (it is not a main drag road so I'm guessing that is why it is a snow route). But whatever. Get home and there is a big pick up truck in the middle of entrance. What is he waiting for? He backs out into the street and I zoom up the parking lot. I was a bit crooked parking but tires got stuck so couldn't straighten my car better. Kitties are scratching the glass balcony door to go out, but I'm refusing to open the door. It's cold.
Happy Snowstorm. I think I'll have a Harry Potter Marathon tomorrow when I get up. Post later. Bye!
