Still car doesn't work

It is said that what you are is what you attract. I am the type to be first in helping anyone in need and when I am the one in need, everybody runs away. Nobody wants to be my hero today. Groceries will have to wait until the car gets fixed. At least I have time to work on my novel. Right?
