Received email from a ghost

Received an email from a dead person, which was not the same email address they had b4 they died. Email was sent to several relatives. Naturally I'm curious. There is a link, ok stupidly clink on link thinking it is a message/photos from her husband. No it is a virus. And I fell for this trickery. Ok, unplugged the cord to the internet and immediately clean computer. Put cord back in computer once cleaned. As my family would, How could u be so stupid to fall for an email from a dead person. Not stupid, just curious. How's ur day?
