I found out my uncle has been laid off last week so he can be replaced by a less expensive newer employee. He is a few years away from retirement, causing us to think his company just does not want to pay him retirement benefits and pensions. Who is going to hire him so he can work a few years until retirement? He is still looking for a new job.
Ya know companies demand loyal to the company from their employees, but at the same time they throw away employees like yesterday's newspapers. Why should we be loyal, to get stock options and then lose our job because we earn too much? And companies complain they can't find good and qualified workers: You fired them. Post later. Bye!
