Same thing every time

It has happened again. People are demanding the state of Iowa reinstate the death penalty after the murder of a child. According to the news the death penalty for state crimes (not federal) was dissolved 40 years ago. For as long as I can remember (29 years), every time a child is murdered people petition to reinstate the death penalty. I noticed when an adult is murdered this petition demand does not occur. I recall once in high school when the legislature defended voted against reinstating the death penalty because the latest child murderer would not fall under the law and forcing a person live with the consequences to their actions sitting in jail the rest of their natural life is a much worse punishment that the easy way out to only answer to God. Or something like that. Though, every time the murdered child is eventually forgotten and the demand for the death penalty disappears, until the next child murder. Go figure. Post later. Bye!
