Desk rage

I saw an interesting report on desk rage. Videos of a desk bound employee jumping over table to assault an employee or a guy who grabbed a employee's monitor and tried to copy the screen on a xerox machine, pounding on the xerox to make it print.

The things I miss working at a boring airport. The therapist explained this is happening from compounded problems of home and work causing people to eventually just break down and explode into rage. Yeah, I have stress at home and work, but you don't see jumping over the counter and punching customers. But then, I email my manager of possible future complaints, rant to my blogs, email pals, my coworkers, or the counter next door (whoever is available), or just roll my eyes and continue watching my movie so it does get out of my system. Nobody is worth getting fired over.

Better go to bed. Precious went outside 3 days in a row, but not Frodo. Today no walk for either one even with Precious persistant meowing and scratching the door, he kept attacking the harness so it never got around his head. Yesterday we startled my neighbor coming out of her door. Precious made a rush to her apartment and then out the fire door to the stairs. I stopped him both times. He has developed the habit of scratching at the neighbor's door and meowing to be let in. Sorry, he can't enter every door. Today Frodo got chased by Precious while he was licking his paw. Then Frodo chased Precious into a cubby hole in the cat tower. They are so much fun to watch. Working hard at keeping Precious's fur mat-free. When visiting Mom she asked how they form. I explained if I didn't comb my passed shoulder length hair for a week, I would have tangles too. Mats are tangles long haired animals get. Oh, forgot to mention that when talking on the phone with the bossman's brother, a customer came by to return her car and commented how I'm the friendliest person here. I hope he heard that cause I just laid the phone down on the counter to count keys when she came. Nobody ever writes to say an employee did a wonder job, but they sure complain when they feel wronged. Better go. Night.
