Well roommate has come up with a strategy for me to make more money. Rent a house to get extra income. There is a problem with that. I declared bankruptcy last year, so nobody is going to give me a mortgage, and I am not risking my entire inheritance which is all the money I have in a cheap house cause if something goes wrong like evicting tenants, tenants trashing the place, or need to pay for repairs for that house or my own house (houses are cheap for a reason), I will have no money in savings for that. Bad idea at this time. I rather keep my savings invested where it is and try to save money from my paychecks. Of course, he gets mad I reject his idea giving him excuses not to follow his advice. I know plenty about investing. My Dad had collectibles, retirement funds, savings, cds, savings bonds for the grandkids, and real estate. It took 4 auctions to get rid of all the collectibles. Mom sold the real estate too. When she died all we had to inherit were investments through her financial advisor, photos, and furniture. I will keep my money where it is. My therapist asked who my roommate thought he was telling me how to invest. I don't know.
