Read coworker reports and apparently someone told the front desk that a person matchign my description gave them a room for free without putting it in the system and they needed a key to get their stuff out of the room. OK, when we do free rooms (like for corporate people who visit or employees) we always check in people so we all know it is occupied. And the night I supposedly gave them a free room was a night I didn't work. Yeah, that was a homeless person trying to con my coworker into getting a key after someone left a guest door open and they can't get into a now shut door. Plus, later they were caught wandering the halls and escorted out by an engineer.
Viewed the hotel want ads to see if they hired the Accounting Associate job I applied for. Oh my, they have several openings all over the hotel. Food and Beverage Manager, Assistant General Manager, Kitchen help, Bartender, Front Desk help, and Housekeeping. The job I applied for is still open.
They just hired a new Executive Housekeeper who worked 4 different hotels (including this one) so hopefully our guests will stop complaining how dirty the rooms are. Many times I had people return after checking them in refusing to stay in their room cause dust was everywhere, crumbs on the floor, items left behind from prior guest, and hair on the sheets or drain, and the worst, mold in shower and vents coated in fluffy dirt that falls into their hair. Of course I get them a room on a different floor to get a different housekeeper.
