Easter is fast approaching. Which means Easter baskets for children full of stuffed animals, jelly beans, chocolate bunnies, colored eggs, peeps, and toys. Last week, I was listening to my sister talking on the phone to someone how she won't be buying anything for her duaghter for Easter and hoping her aunts will buy the baby Easter presents, but no candy since she is too young. Guess that means I am obligated to buy an Easter bunny for my baby niece now. Problem: I have 3 nieces in another state who will not be getting any aunt presents for their Easter baskets. I can hear them already asking why the baby get presents (attention) from me and they get nothing. I rarely bought my older nieces things for Easter because they get huge packages from their parents. A few times I have mailed with their Easter card coloring books or small objects, but not so much that they expect a gift.
I hate my sister for placing me between a rock and a hard place. I hope she is not truly expecting me to show up with a huge stuffed bunny for her daughter this week. Sure she is polite to my face, but can cut my image to pieces behind my back (according to my Mom and my nieces). Once at the Thanksgiving table she accused me of being the worst roommate she every had, setting off a fight in front of the entire family. Today she heartily denies every saying that and tells me I'm making stuff up. I say she is just a bitch sometimes like Mom. I don't know what to do. I want to get her something, but have to consider my other nieces' feelings too. Oh the troubles of being an adult realizing what you do effects others. Post later on my decision. Bye!
