What a night

Last night, my latest crush (new guy at the car rental next door) after his last delayed flight reservation at 1:30 AM and could have gone home: took my car across the street to fill it with gas cuz it was at 1/4 tank (I gave him a credit card to pay at the pump), left it in his nearer stall running so I would leave warm (he put the defogger on too), and then stayed with me chatting until my last reservation had landed at 2:18 AM. Then he left cuz he didn't want to rent anymore cars. He actually asked if I was really going to wait for this person cuz our cutoff is at 2 AM. But she called and I said an extra 10 minutes won't kill me, so I stayed and called the airline to check the departure and arrival times. She was so happy she wanted my manager's email to send a thank you. People say all the time but never do. Took extra time getting home from the snowfall covering the streets and felt starved for some reason. If this guy likes me so much to do all this then why isn't he asking me out on a date. Is he taking his time?

Today is lots of snow outside and Precious is playing in it.

Ho hum

I tell my latest crush he is devilishly handsome and he gets the courage to ask out one of his customers. And he told me a week ago he just got out of a relationship and not ready for another. What is wrong with this picture? Even worse, he confides he is hot for another gal at work who doesn't speak to him when he says hi. Ok maybe I need to find someone else to gawk at. Too bad there is no one else to gawk at. I hope my new dating book will change things.

Again!

Ceiling is leaking again. The guy said they put in new shingles and will have clear away more snow to check problem. Rearranged my photo album from removal of ex boyfriend pic. Donated ex boyfriend gifted blue cat to charity. Guys at work laughed at my new dating book when I asked to borrow happy movies. I haven't been asked out in 2 years so yes, I do need this dating book. One asked why I wasn't happy. I said recently my cousin died and before that my Dad died, before that guys either ignore me or run away from me. I try to chat with guys at work but they tend to stray into conversations that bore me, like cars and video games. Got new kitty calendar and Frodo had to scratch at the pic as I was writing down birthdays. Niece has a new ballet obssession. She loves watching ballet clips on the computer from pro ballet companies. Told sister she has to get some ballet lessons for. Perhaps next Fall when they have their adoption bills paid off. I wonder if my Barbie Swan Lake DVD for her birthday did that. She loves those Barbie movies. Now have take Precious outside.

New book

Got a new dating book from Millionaire Matchmaker. Wish me luck.

1st step: Be happy, Get happy, and Exercise to get the focus off your of goal of getting a man. Listen to happy music, read happy books, watch happy movies, do things you love. And no dating during this 1st step Sabatical, but can take reservations after it.

2nd step: Purge everything from all exes. Toss all pics and gifts from your exes. You are starting anew. Wonder if my nieces want a blue cat.

3rd step: List traits you like/dislike about exes. That list will be short.
-Let's see. Liked their caring and generous soul, they were interested in ME, good heart is always a must, similar hobbies. Disliked their lies about who they were and what they want out of life, insistance they will change just don't leave them, expecting me to make all the moves and decisions (I want a partner not a child, and don't want a father figure to take care of me cuz I can do that), I get tired of being the teacher on dating etiquette (like opening the door for the woman), and nobody ever gave me flowers until I told one to cuz they didn't know they were suppose to.

Excitement of the day

My excitement of the day is cat Frodo sneezing in my face, nice spray too. Poor baby, must have a cold. I tried to remove mats from cat Precious fur with the bite marks and scratches on my hand to prove it. Ah, the pleasures of cat ownership.

Last night I was so thirsty and ran out of pop, after the cafeteria closed (I hate it when they close early). So informed new guy I was going to the pop machine over by the gates that takes credit cards (in case a customer of mine appears). Oh, he can give me money for it. But I have no money to pay him back. Don't worry about it, he says. Ok, is there a reason he is kissing my ass. No reason, he says with a smile. Then later he moves my car to his stalls that are closer (I'm too lazy to go out in freezing weather to move it myself, I rather go out once instead of twice). And he left the engine runnign so my car would be warmed up when I left. God I hope he is single cuz the last guy who told me he was single was actually engaged.

New scam?

I keep getting phone calls from a pest control wanting me to call back to set up a time for them to come inside my place cause they aleady did the outside. In this weather? You know, last time an exterminator came we got a note from management and the guys had keys to all the apartments. Anyone else getting phone calls like this?

Weird cat

I was brushing my Precious as usual when Frodo started eating his discarded fur. I pulled back what I could and threw it away. Aren't cats suppose cough up hairballs not swallow them. Weird cat.

Go to sister's for laundry and niece got a new Brittany from Chipmunks Squeakal. She actually sat through the whole movie at the theater. Amazing, she never does that at home. Then since she has a plastic cake, we have to keep having a birthday party for Brittany. We even let the cat have a piece. Cat sniffed and said, That's not real food.

Niece is so excited to get a brother soon. He can't come fast enough. Apparently in his homeland taking in a stranger's kids is equal to letting in a bad spirit into the house. If a kid is orphaned then he/she is cared for by grandparents only, but uncles and aunts won't take them in and send them to the orphanage. How sad.

I think I have PMS

Want to know how crazy I am. I spent 2 hours removing 3-4 ft of snow off my balcony so my Precious could go outside. He came in when snow from the roof blew down on him. He acts like a trapped rat scratching at my glass door. Now my neighbor is outside doing the same thing, though tossing the snow higher than I did. Must be a man doing it. I had to quit when my wrist too much to continue. I got most of it.

Very upset

Received notice in the mail from my bank today that my savings account requirement has been changed from minmum of $50 to $200 and will have a monthly fee of $5 every time the balance is under $200. Guess I better get my money out before they hit me with fees. Is this punishment from their bad loans? I'm PO'ed.

Family xmas

Had the family xmas at my Mom's house today, with aunts, uncles, and cousins. Last one in the house before Mom moves out. My sister's family and an aunt could not attend from the snowstorm hitting their area. We ate a yummy dinner, watched my youngest nice open her presents. I already gave her a candy cane for her xmas gift, but sister thought she would question why everybody else was giving her clothes and toys except me. So she took money from her mother-in-law and put some pet shop toys with my name on it under the tree. Then we watched a slide show on TV from my great-aunt of pics from the 1930's and 40's. We tried to play Whoville monopoly but too advanced for my niece to keep attention to. We chatted for hoursand then packed up food to take home. My sister is a step away from adopting from China and collect my new nephew in the spring. They just have to finalize their paperwork and travel plans. She took lots of pics and planned a care package to send to him. I'm getting a nephew, I'm getting a nephew!! Now back home and gave Precious a 5 minute walk. It is 3 degrees outside. Out of things to talk about. Later.

Happy New Year

Spent New Year's Eve lighting my xmas decorations one last time before putting it all away. Then watched Dick Clark and kissed the cats at midnight. Today I'm doing laundry and finishing putting away stuff.
