Car racers came back in droves so we had our hands full. The plane hangar had 3 buckets for the keys, one for us and 2 for 2 other companies. Plus two car wrecks this weekend is two less cars we can rent out. American Red Cross booked 15 cars and FEMA 5 more cars for Monday. I joked with Mom the other day that the owner is going to have to buy more cars just to supply the disaster relief people. People still think the whole state is under water. Nope, it's in Missouri now breaking leveees down there. Amazing as it seems, we have yet to reach the river crest measurements from Floods of 1993. My coworker from Florida never heard of Floods of 93 and we are eager to educate him. He is among locals who lived our whole lives in the area.
My manager complained the counter was sticky and the carpet was unswept, we have a vacuum attachment so use it and no more excuses, according to my coworker and the cash drawer was left unlocked, again. Ok, I'm going to start taking photos of the lock when I leave to prove I locked it. I check the drawers and cupboards 4 to 5 times before leaving and always yank on them right before clocking out. So anyway, I spent an hour and 15 minutes wiping the counters, sweeping the floor twice, once with the attachment and once with the sweeper, then swished the sand by the door out with one of the snow brushes (stuff the vacuum failed to pick up). I had a delayed flight so had plenty of time. Now my back is killing me and I broke a nail plugging in the sweeper. I sent an email to the manager apologizing if I missed any dirt, paper, or sand. I did my best. I didn't mention the medicating myself with my allergy pills and inhaler half hour before starting so I wouldn't have an itching fit I usually have when cleaning. I blew my nose once and face got a little itchy, but nothing unbearable. Had wash my hands cause they were filthy and to keep them from itching.
Well in other news, I am getting my make-up school fees charged on my credit card so will be stopping by my parents' house to pick my bonds. I need the money. I told her I wasn't going to ask her for money since I know they are busy paying for Dad's parents' house that needs a lot of fixing and their own kitchen project yet to be finished, so I'm sure they don't have plenty money hanging around. I will just pay off my credit card as much as I can. Even discontinue my internet and cell phone if I have to. It is safe to say I won't be buying any birthday or Christmas gifts or making any homemade cards for my coworkers this year. The skyrocketing prices on everything from gas to Kleenex don't help the situation either. And I have to take Precious to the vet this week for his shots. Such as life. Better go to bed now. Post later.
