Took Mom to her house to have the realtor check it out. She agreed with me that house needs painting. The wood siding is revealed in some places which a mortage company might refuse a loan for all the peeling paint. Mom agreed to an amount she would be willing to pay for painting and if too much then sell the house "as is". Paint doesn't add that much to the house value, just makes it look nice when you sell it. We pointed out the assets: lots of storage, finished basement, large yard, shed/playhouse and everything is in working order. I pointed out the water heater and furnace, and the doghouse which is the A/C fan cover.
Then after taking Mom to the bank, grocery store, and back to her apartment, I went over to sister's house for laundry. Sister was on the sidewalk with the kids so I honk my horn to scare my nephew. Niece came running to my trunk where she knows my laundry basket holding her movie loan is. Sister checked my backseat for a lost stuffed animal. Nope, not there. We also lost a movie disk. Got the cover, movie was never watched, and I always check my movie covers to make sure the disks are there before taking them home. Think movies need to be placed up high if little fingers can't stop playing with them like toys. Taught nephew a new phrase, "Get your paws off". Niece giggled at the word paws.
