Adventure of the day
Took kitties out for their daily walk. They wander around to wooded area by the garages and dumpster. A big chunk of forest has been taken down and a large brush pile is stacked up against the neighbor's fence. I see Precious jump on the brush pile and think nothing of it, until his paws touch the fence railing. I rush over screaming "NO" with tree branches catching my hair, vines tripping my feet on a steep slope, and bushes knocking off my glasses. Precious jumps over just as I finally get to the brush pile. He wanders around in the neighbor's back yard for a while and meows because he can't get back over (his I'm trapped meow is different from I'm over here meow or where are you meow). Now I have to worry about Frodo jumping over too. I shake a branch trying to halt him and he jumps off the brush pile. Our time is up a hour later and I have to figure out how to get Precious back. I can touch his ears and forehead, but can't reach far enough to grab him. There is a small wooden ladder on the ground for at least a year, so I pick that up to have it fall apart on me and catching on the tree branches. Get the ladder over the fence with one part of the ladder intact for him to climb up. He won't come near it so take back the ladder and almost leave it hanging on a bush out of frustration. Go inside to get the cat tower. Precious sniffs it and wanders away. Damn him, I want to go home. I call him repeatedly, he meows back (his I'm right here meow). Finally after 10 minutes he comes back to the cat tower. He jumps up placing his front paws on the fence railing. I grab him and carry him to a part of the brush pile he can stand on. And finally go home. Post later. Bye!
