Show and tell

I had a confusing experience today. I was under the impression that a coworker who watches DVDs late at night asked permission from the boss to do that, and he said it was OK. Today I show off my new toy portable DVD player to all my friends, when someone said not to show and tell my toy to the boss. What??? If we are allowed to watch movies, then why do I need to hide my player from the boss. I emailed my manager from my home computer asking if my memory is incorrect about playing movies is allowed. Besides that, it is not like we play them when we are busy. That would require hitting pause a lot. I'll have to wait and see. Post later. Bye!
