Extended Family Christmas

Celebrated our extended family Christmas with Mom's sisters and cousins. Gave great-niece her Christmas present and my nieces and nephew got presents from faraway brother and sister. Lots of food to eat. Everybody loved my toffee. I told them it is so perfect because I used a candy thermometer. Received condolences from everyone for my furbaby Faramir. Good to know they are polite enough for that (nobody really likes my ferrets and some can't stand animals at all). Funny how some people grew up on a farm and despise animals, strange but true. My Dad was said to have a dog as a kid who was his buddy and went on long walks together. Must have gotten his animal lover gene. One of Mom's cousins mentioned she is reading my new story I mentioned in my Christmas letter. She likes what she has read so far. I don't exactly write thrillers like Stephen King or John Grisham, they are more like Viking sagas of events without much of villain, so most people don't like them. Most just read the first chapter and think it's boring and stop. Yeah, if you read the first chapter of Harry Potter it is very boring too. Oh well, if people are waiting for me to become as rich and famous author then they will have a long wait. Had a good day talking to family I hardly ever see.

Post later.
