Car fixed
Called the mechanic about my car that won't start. Had to get it towed, since it ain't moving. They have a backload from not being open on the weekend so who knows when they will get done. They assure me they will get to me today. Good, but I have to work. SO, arrange my sister to take me work today and Mom to take me to car tomorrow if they don't call before I leave for work. My sister is on her way here when I get the call the mechanic is done. Great, so sister can take me to the mechanic right down the street. On top that, my monthly visitor suddenly shows up so change underwear. Annoying when you have shoes on. Sister arrives. Grab my car and head to work. Oh yeah,I get to tell coworkers, I had a great weekend trapped in my apartment cause I can't go anywhere and there was a fire in the apartment complex (not mine, another building). And even better, I'm not on the schedule next week. I say to coworkers, I hope that doesn't mean I'm getting fired like the guy Milton in Office Space (Milton is laid off but nobody tells him so he keeps showing up for work). No, no, managers and coworkers tell me, I'm not fired. They just don't have enough hours for everybody. 4 people asked about not being on the schedule too. Crying pays off, get to cover a coworker for a shift next week. I don't need unpaid vacation. Reach the end of my shift and go home to watch TV. Hey Ashton Kutcher has a new hair do. Gotta see that ya know.
