I heard today a coworker had been fired this week. He wanted lasted Sunday off, but no one would work for him so he had to come in. He decided to call in sick. He has been skating on thin ice from multiple infractions and this was the last straw for my boss. This should cool off another coworker who always threatens to call in sick if he doesn't get the days off he requests. One time he actually got mad about not being allowed to leave early so suddenly he wasn't well and needed to go home immediately. Who do these people think they are kidding?
Oh sure, I would come in to work if I didn't get my requested day off. I just let it be known that if I have to miss certain things (like a graduation), I will be a grouch all day. So far I had not had this problem. Post later. Bye!
