Blizzard warning

Wake up while it's still dark to find a blizzard warning to the west of me on TV. Ok, I'll deal with that driving home. It is raining outside, light drizzle. No big deal. Then after the sun emerges, the rain turns into ice/sleet. I leave work to find my car is covered in ice and doors iced shut. I kick/hit doors and scrape ice away with keys for 25 minutes before I finally pry one open. It is quite the feat to kick a door several times and not slip on the ice while doing it. A manager comes out with his remote start key fob and starts scraping his windows. My de-icer is frozen in the can so I do my best to get the ice off. Manager comes around to help scrape my windows. How nice. My frozen face squeaks out a thank you. I'm ready for cocoa.

We had a corporate visitor come by very late than expected. I greeted him at the door and then ran into him again as I went on my break. Oh, hello again. I think some coworkers are testy about my constant joy at working. Who wants to deal with a grouchy sales clerk, I ask you. Besides I'm sure they don't really want to hear about my money struggles, my papercuts, my migraines, or my bad knee that never heals. Let's just say I'm always happy at work (especially after being unemployed 7 months) and leave it at that.
