Busy week

We have a World Pork Expo this weekend, NCAA track meet this week, Hy-Vee Triatholon this week, and a Indy race at the local race track next weekend, plus all the disaster relief people here from all the tornadoes and flooding: And people have to argue about us being sold out and who in this airport has cars available. Pretty much nobody. If you want a genie go steal Aladdin's lamp.

Let's see, I get a lady who cuts in line of four people (I am helping the first two at the same time) tells me I look busy but she is in a hurry so she needs her receipt now. I explain very politley as possible she has to wait her turn. She claims she will just stand to the side waiting for her receipt and will leave when she can't wait anymore. OK, when I get through the line she will get her receipt. She left before I finished with the customer I was helping first.

Had a guy scream at me because we didn't have his chosen car available. He continues that this happens every time he comes here and demands to know why we allow reservations for cars we don't have when he shows up. Because we upgrade to larger cars for free when the smaller ones are all rented out and most people don't complain about that. He whines so more how any larger car he can't drive because it is the size of a boat. Call my guys up to ask for a smaller car. The only one available needs an oil change so he can't have it. Tell him again we have no smaller cars. Go check every single counter asking for a small car. No dice. He has to take what we got or don't get a car at all (not exact wording but the same sentiment). He thanks me for calling my guys, checking the counters, and remaining friendly when he wasn't. Oh yeah that makes me feel so much better. A**wipe.

Answered the phone to have a guy tell me our reservation line told him we are sold out. Yes we are sold out through next week. He wants our customer service number to complain. Sure. Give it to him and think he can complain all he wants, we are still sold out through next week no matter how badly he needs a car.

Had a lady call asking if we had a list of SUVs or Minivans cancellations so she can rent one. We are sold out through next week so she is not getting one even if someone cancels. It will be very unlikley that the colleges competing in the track meet will cancel their reservations for SUVs and Minivans. Good luck finding one this week at another company.
