Today I learned my coworker will not be in today, she has been in a car wreck. Is she alright, I ask. She is a little shook up and went to a chiropractor, but otherwise fine. The car on the other hand is not fine, but then cars can be replaced. Apparently, she had a sneezing attack, lost control of the car, and went down a ravine along a highway. She called work to call for a tow truck, then a police car stopped and offered to call one for her. I am not sure who picked her up to take her to the chiropractor.
I know many people complain about their bosses, but I actually like mine. She came to fill in for my coworker (1 of the pitfalls of being a manager). She is cool. She talked about the Rob Zombie concert she attended last night with her husband, and showed me a picture of him and her dog. Then she talked about her new purple motorcycle and the Honda they put on ebay getting lots of bids. Next came the email she got from a friend containing photos of a motorcycle accident at the speed of 174 mph. I saw the wrecked motorbike along the highway, but I begged to be spared the photos of the rider in pieces. I don't handle blood well, let alone organs hanging out. I asked if she emailed her friend back, Are you trying to tell me something? She did.
I also ordered online some books on Australia and New Zealand. I need a vacation, it has been 2 summers since I had one. I plan to buy an antenna and cancel my cable TV to start saving money. The next thing to be axed will be the cell phone. I plan to get one where you prepay the minutes instead of a contracted plan since I hardly use it. I have tried to find cheaper internet service, without much luck. Sure there are deals for really cheap prices for 3 months, but then the price doubles at the end of those 3 months. That might go last, I sorta need that. Then there is the charity donations that will have to go. So much to do. Post later. Bye!
