Babysitting

I babysat my baby niece yesterday. Their babysitter decided to on a family vacation the week before spring break. I arrived to find the baby taking a nap in the master bedroom. I must have awoke her with the doorbell because she was screaming and crying. When I started petting a cat in the hallway, I heard the baby crying my name. I answered saying I heard someone call my name, who could it be? The baby opened the door with tears streaming down her cheeks. She must have been expecting me.

We had so much fun. We played with her dollhouse, colored, read books, played horsie and piggyback, and rode the hobbyhorse. She dragged out all the dishtowels to paly over a doll. Then she dragged out the cooking utensils and I put them back. I tried to encourage finishing her nap by laying on the couch, but she was too excited to lay down. I played kid movies with music because the baby loves to dance. We had a snack and juice to see how hungry she was. I changed her diaper despite her protests. I found out why, she had bad diaper rash. She also disapproved of the diaper cream I put on. My sister said later she had diaherra yesterday. I fixed her supper and my sister came home while she was eating. I was cooking chicken in the oven for myself. Next, I went to the store to get candy bars for my sister's class. I chased the baby over the house with a toy car. Then we calmed down to read more books since bedtime was approaching. My sister took a bath with the baby. I spent quality time petting the cats. Afterwards, I combed the baby's hair while she brushed her teeth. I continued reading books and a cat jumped up on my sister's lap. The baby threw a pillow at the cat and my sister scolded her. It was time for me to leave.

Tomorrow I babysit again. I can't wait. Post later. Bye!
